Tulla GAA

St Joseph's Secondary School, Tulla is an Irish co-educational secondary school located in Tulla, County Clare. It is a Roman Catholic secondary school under the trusteeship of CEIST (Catholic Education, an Irish Schools Trust).

Tulla (Irish: An Tulach, meaning 'the hillock') is a market town in County Clare, Ireland. It is situated in the east of the county, on the R462 and near its junction with the R352, 18 km from Ennis. The town is in a townland and civil parish of the same name.

The building was renovated in 1971, receiving a far more modest exterior. It was rededicated by bishop Harty. The second church of the parish is the Church of Immaculate Conception in Drumcharley. This church was built in 1838-1839 and was during construction severely damaged in the Night of the Big Wind. The third church is the St. James's Church in Knockjames, built in the period 1882-1884.

Craggaunowen is an archaeological open-air museum in eastern County Clare, Ireland. It is named for the 16th-century castle which is one of its main components. Craggaunowen is located 10 km east of Quin village. The name Craggaunowen derives from its Irish name Creagán Eoghain (Owen's little rocky hill). The site is operated by Shannon Heritage.

Magh Adhair (Irish pronunciation: [ˌmˠaː ˈəiɾʲ]; "Adair's plain") is a former inauguration site and place of archaeological significance located near the village of Quin, County Clare, in Ireland. Traditionally known as the place in which the kings of Thomond were installed, most notably the O'Briens, the site itself consists of numerous monuments, including a mound, standing stone, fulacht fiadh and a bullaun stone. A complex of vocal importance for the county and indeed the whole island, located in the monument-rich area of Dangan, Magh Adhair is a site of epitome cultural and historical significance.

Ballymarkahan Castle is a ruined tower house in the parish of Quin, in County Clare, Ireland. It was listed by Irish antiquarian T. J. Westropp as one of the 195 "lesser castles", or peel towers, of County Clare in 1899, by which time it was already a ruin. It was mentioned as a ruin in the Ordnance Survey Letters of John O'Donovan and Eugene O'Curry in 1839. It is marked on the Ordnance Survey map of 1842. The castle dates from the fifteenth century, some time after the construction of Quin Abbey, and was built by the MacNamara family, who built a number of castles in the area, including nearby Knappogue Castle. According to Westropp, it was built in 1430 by "Donall, son of Shane an Gabhaltais."

Clooney-Quin GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village areas of Clooney and Quin, County Clare in Ireland. The club field teams in hurling and Gaelic Football. The club was founded in 1888 and its most notable player was Amby Power, who captained the Clare 1914 All-Ireland winning team.In 2017, Clooney-Quin reached their first county senior final in 73 years where they lost to Sixmilebridge after a replay.
