Upper Merion Area High School is a comprehensive public high school, operated by the Upper Merion Area School District, in the King of Prussia census-designated place, in Upper Merion Township, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, United States. A building project to construct a new high school facility began in spring 2020, and is scheduled to be completed in September, 2022.

The King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company 9/11 Memorial is a memorial in King of Prussia CDP, Pennsylvania, that honors the lives lost in the September 11 attacks in 2001. The memorial is located adjacent to the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company station on Allendale Road across from the King of Prussia mall. The 9/11 Memorial consists of a monument, a gazebo, a patio, and an entrance path and stairs that commemorates the attacks on the World Trade Center and The Pentagon along with the crash of United Airlines Flight 93. Among the features of the memorial are two steel beams that came from the actual World Trade Center. The memorial was dedicated on the tenth anniversary of the attacks on September 11, 2011.

West Norriton Township is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Norristown Area School District. The population of the township was 15,663 at the 2010 census.

Montgomery Cemetery is a historic cemetery located near the Schuylkill River on Hartranft Avenue and along Jackson Street in West Norriton Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, immediately adjacent to and southwest of the Municipality of Norristown. Founded in the late 1840s, the cemetery is the final resting place of several high-ranking Civil War officers, as well as one of the former governors of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The cemetery is adjacent to Riverside Cemetery, which was founded a half century later, during the fin de siècle era of the 19th century. The cemetery is currently administered by the Historical Society of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, located in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

Port Indian is a small private boating community located in West Norriton Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA. Its two streets (East Indian Lane and West Indian Lane) and the riverfront homes along them run parallel to the Schuylkill River. Port Indian hosted the "Port Indian Regatta" for many years until its demise sometime in the 1990s.

King of Prussia (also referred to as King of Prussia Mall) is a shopping mall located in the community of King of Prussia in Upper Merion Township in the United States state of Pennsylvania. It is the largest shopping mall in Pennsylvania and the third-largest shopping mall in the United States in terms of gross leasable area. It is an upscale mall with over 450 retailers. The anchor stores are Bloomingdale's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Primark with two vacant anchors last occupied by JCPenney and Lord & Taylor. The mall, which opened in 1963, consisted of two distinct buildings known as The Plaza and The Court until August 2016, when a major expansion was completed and the two buildings were connected to create one large shopping mall.

Barbadoes Island is an island in the Schuylkill River in West Norriton Township, south of Norristown in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. Southbound U.S. Route 202 and various localized rail lines cross over the eastern tip of the island. It is about 90 acres (36 ha) in size.

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) was founded in Norristown, Pennsylvania, United States and is located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is one of 29 Intermediate Units formed by the Pennsylvania General Assembly in 1971 to provide support to local school districts. Created to replace the County Office of Superintendent, Intermediate Units provide special services as needed by the educational community in their service area. MCIU services are designed to align with the educational and social service needs of Montgomery County's schools. It was originally located at 1605 West Main Street in rural Norristown, before being moved to a much larger location at 2 West Lafayette Street in downtown Norristown in 2017. The MCIU is governed by a 22-member board of directors composed of representatives from each of the 22 component school districts in Montgomery County. Services are provided through nine divisions: Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development; Human Resources; Technology and Information Services; Legislative Services and Grant Development; Financial and Management Services; Nonpublic School Services; PaTTAN; Special Education, and Communications. Funding sources include state subsidy, government and foundation grants, contributions from districts and fees for service.

Selma Mansion is one of the oldest structures in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Located on the western edge of the town, Selma was built by General Andrew Porter in 1794 around an existing structure purchased from Alexander McCammon in 1786. Porter was a soldier during the American Revolutionary War and helped found the Continental Marines, forerunner of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was later appointed Surveyor General, helped lay out the borders of the commonwealth and attained the rank of general.

King of Prussia (also referred to as KOP) is a census-designated place in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 19,936. The community took its unusual name in the 18th century from a local tavern named the King of Prussia Inn, which was named after King Frederick the Great of Prussia. Like the rest of Montgomery County, King of Prussia continues to experience rapid development. One of the largest shopping malls in the United States, King of Prussia, is located here. Also located here is the headquarters of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region I. King of Prussia is considered to be an edge city of Philadelphia, consisting of large amounts of retail and office space situated at the convergence of four highways.
