Holy Trinity Church, Little Ouseburn

St Mary the Virgin's Church is in the village of Great Ouseburn, North Yorkshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Ripon, the archdeaconry of Richmond, and the Diocese of Leeds. Its benefice has been united with those of four local parishes. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Little Ouseburn is a small village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated near the A1(M) motorway and 6 miles (9.7 km) south-east of Boroughbridge. It consists of two roads, Main Street which is the residential area, and Church Lane which contains a Holy Trinity Church that is a grade I listed building. (see 'External Links' below for a survey of the burials in the churchyard) It also has a small brick bridge over a stream which leads to Great Ouseburn. According to the 2011 census data the total population of Little Ouseburn is 264.

St Stephen's Church is the parish church of Aldwark, a village north-west of York, in North Yorkshire in England. The building was funded by Lady Frankland-Russell and was designed by Edward Buckton Lamb. John Betjeman noted that Lamb had been described as a "rogue architect", but stated that "the plan of the church is unusual yet effective both within and without... the almost detached tower and spire form a composition typical of the architect". The church was constructed between 1846 and 1853. In 1984, the church was Grade II listed. The church is constructed of alternating courses of herringbone brick and cobbles, with sandstone dressings. The roof is tiled, with the diagonals picked out in fishscale tiles. The church consists of a nave, short transepts in apsidal form, and a single-bay chancel. There is a two-stage tower to the north of the nave, supported by angle buttresses, and with a short spire. Inside, there are four stone cross piers, which support a complex wooden roof, based on a king post structure. The west window is in the Perpendicular style, and has glass designed by Charles Eamer Kempe in 1885.

At the 2001 census it had a population of 116 increasing to 308 at the 2011 Census (and including Flawith and Youlton).

Whixley is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is near the A1(M) motorway and 10 miles (16 km) west of York. The ancient village of Whixley lies on Rudgate, the old Roman road along which the Roman “Hispania” Legion would have marched to nearby Isurium (Aldborough).

It is situated on the A59 road, 8 miles (13 km) west of York and 10 miles (16 km) east of Harrogate. Along with nearby Kirk Hammerton, the village is served by Hammerton railway station on the Harrogate line.(H)ambretone, a place-name reflected now both in Kirk Hammerton ('Hammerton with the church', from Old Norse kirkja 'church') and in Green Hammerton ('Hammerton with the green', from Middle English grene), is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086. The name seems to derive from the Old English plant-name hamor (whose meaning is not certain but might include hammer-sedge or pellitory of the wall) + tūn 'settlement, farm, estate'.The village has a Church of England parish church, St Thomas' Church (see 'External Links' below for a survey of burials in the churchyard) and a church primary school, both located in the centre of the village. The former Congregational church in Green Hammerton, originally built as a Methodist Chapel in the late 1790s, was adapted for use as a Roman Catholic Church, St Josephs, in 1961.The village pub is the Bay Horse Inn. Green Hammerton Village Hall opened in April 2010: it is run by the Green Hammerton Recreational Charity.Green Hammerton comes under the Ouseburn ward, of Harrogate District Council, the Ainsty division of North Yorkshire County Council and the Selby and Ainsty parliamentary constituency.

Cattal is a railway station on the Harrogate Line, which runs between Leeds and York via Harrogate. The station, situated 10+1⁄2 miles (17 km) west of York, serves the village of Cattal, Borough of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. It is owned by Network Rail and managed by Northern Trains. Cattal is at the western end of a dual track section from Hammerton. Trains heading east towards York are timetabled to arrive first on the dual track section, in order to clear the single-track line heading west towards Harrogate. The level crossing here still has manually-operated metal gates and a ground-level signal box. The station buildings are now privately owned. In 2022-2023 the most popular origin/destination station from Cattal was York with 24,076 journeys to/from York (37.4% of all journeys).

Kirk Hammerton is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is near the River Nidd and the A59 road, 10 miles (16 km) west of York. The village suffix refers to the Hamerton family who owned the land until the 16th century. The village was historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974.
