Élysée Palace

Place Beauvau (English: Beauvau Square) is a public square in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, at the intersection of the Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, Avenue de Marigny, Rue des Saussaies and Rue de Miromesnil. It is located in the La Madeleine neighbourhood, next to the Élysée Palace.

The Hôtel de Marigny is a town house in Paris, France, on the Avenue Marigny, not far from the Elysée Palace. It is used as a state guest house for state visitors to France. The house has been the property of the French government since 1972. Its history dates back to June 15, 1869, when Baron Gustave de Rothschild paid the Duchesse de Bauffremont 2,700,000 francs for two town houses, at 21 Avenue Marigny and 14 Rue du Cirque, with a total floorspace of approximately 40,000 square feet (3,700 m2). In 1872, the Baron decided to combine the two buildings into a single property and to erect additional buildings on part of the site. On May 17, 1879, he acquired the town house at 13 Avenue Marigny. Extensive work was carried out on the site from 1873 onwards, lasting for nearly 10 years, under the direction of the Baron's architect, Alfred-Philibert Aldrophe. Today, the Hôtel Marigny comprises a main building with one two-story wing at right angles, standing above a vast basement area for the domestic services. The main emphasis is on the monumental central part of the façade: the entrance to the main lobby comprises two lower-level reception areas beneath the raised ground-floor, while the upper portion contains four Corinthian columns framing a bay window and two niches, bearing a frame and sculpted frontispiece of the same provenance.

The Hameau de Chantilly ('hamlet of Chantilly') in Paris was a group of cottages in the gardens of the Élysée Palace in Paris constructed by Bathilde d'Orléans, Duchess of Bourbon in 1787 in imitation of the Hameau de Chantilly at the Château de Chantilly, her principal residence.With the Revolution, she left the Élysée in 1792, returning in 1794; she finally left in 1797. The Élysée gardens, also known as the Jardin Bourbon, became a public garden in 1797 where many public celebrations were held.In 1801, Velloni fils opened the Hameau as a short-lived eating, drinking, and dancing establishment. The ticket price will be one franc for the day, of which 75 centimes (15 sous) can go toward any of our offerings, except for dance and country games. It is proposed to offer once every ten-day week ['decade'] extraordinary celebrations, including a vocal and instrumental concert by Citizen Feydeau's orchestra conducted by Citizen Lahoussaye; beautiful fireworks by Citizen Ruggieri, and magnificent lighting by Citizen Duvergier. The program of these celebrations will be announced in posters, the day before and the day of their presentation. The ticket on those days will cost 2 francs, not including other offerings. The Jardin Bourbon functioned as a public garden until it was sold to Joachim Murat in 1803 or 1805.

Rue des Saussaies is a short (50m long) street in the 8th arrondissement of Paris that adjoins the Ministry of the Interior. It begins at place Beauvau and finishes at place Saussaies. At number 10, lived the comte de Ségur, Napoleon I's master of ceremonies. At number 11, was the Gestapo headquarters for occupied Paris during World War II. After the war, number 11 housed the Ministry of the Interior, including the Sûreté nationale. At number 22, French composer Francis Poulenc was born, on 7 January 1899.

The Galerie Charpentier was a gallery of historic and contemporary art in Paris, located at 76, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, at the corner with rue Duras.

The Grand Musée du Parfum was a Paris perfumery museum that operated from December 22, 2016 to July 6, 2018. It was founded by entrepreneur Guillaume de Maussion and overseen by industry experts including Jean-Claude Ellena, then the in-house perfumer at Hermes; Mathilde Laurent, house perfumer at Cartier; and Sylvaine Delacourte, director of fragrance for Guerlain. The museum, developed over two years for $7 million, was located in the hôtel particulier (townhouse mansion) at 73, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, once the residence of the Roederer champagne family and later the location of fashion house Christian Lacroix. Entry cost between 5 and 14.50 Euro. Exhibits included a recreation of the laboratory of French perfume house Houbigant (founded in 1775 at 19, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré), using items on loan from the Musée Carnavalet (the museum of the history of Paris). It also had a "garden of scent" with white sculptures that each released different scents.

Saint Honoré, Honorius of Amiens, is the French patron saint of bakers.

The hotel is part of the Oetker Collection, Masterpiece Hotels, which is owned the Oetkers family and was founded by Rudolf August Oetker.

The délégation interministérielle à l'aménagement du territoire et à l'attractivité régionale (English: Interministerial Delegation of Land Planning and Regional Attractiveness) or DATAR was a French administration working for the Minister of Territorial Development. It applied decisions taken by the Interministerial Committee of Land Planning and Development (CIADT). It was created in 1963 by Georges Pompidou's government.In 2009, DATAR handed over its missions to the Commissariat général à l’égalité des territoires (English: General Commission for Equal Territories).

Hôtel de Charost is a hôtel particulier located at 39 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. Since 1814, it has been the official residence of the ambassador of the United Kingdom to France. It is located near the Élysée Palace.

The Alcazar d'Été was a Café-concert which opened in 1869, at 8 Avenue Gabriel in Paris, and closed in 1914. The old Café Morel behind the Élysée Palace was acquired in 1869 by Arsène Goubert who at the time was owner of the "Alcazar" at 10 Rue du Faubourg Poissonière. He gave it the name "Alcazar d'Été", and the "Alcazar" became "Alcazar d'Hiver". It is today the "Pavilion Gabriel".
