Cumberland School of Law is an ABA accredited law school at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. It was founded in 1847 at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee and is the 11th oldest law school in the United States and has more than 11,000 graduates. Its alumni include two United States Supreme Court Justices; Nobel Peace Prize recipient Cordell Hull, "the father of the United Nations"; over 50 U.S. representatives; and numerous senators, governors, and judges. The school offers two degree programs: the 90-hour Juris Doctor (J.D.), and the Master of Comparative Law (M.C.L.), which is designed to educate foreign lawyers in the basic legal principles of the United States. The school also offers eight dual-degree programs and a Master of Laws (LL.M) program with concentrations in financial service regulatory compliance, health law and policy, higher education law and compliance, and legal project management. Cumberland Law School is unrelated to the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, and is no longer a part of Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Andrew Westmoreland is a retired American academic administrator. He was the 18th President of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama since 2006 to 2021. From 1998 to 2006, he was the president of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

The Beeson Divinity School of Samford University is an interdenominational evangelical divinity school located in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. The current dean is Douglas A. Sweeney. Though located on the campus of a Baptist university, Beeson is interdenominational. The school offers the Master of Divinity degree and the Master of Arts in Theological Studies degree. It houses an Institute of Anglican Studies. In 2013 it began offering a Certificate of Anglican Studies and in 2021 a Certificate of Wesleyan Studies.

The McWhorter School of Pharmacy is an American pharmacy school located in Birmingham, Alabama. The school offers a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree, and is nationally accredited by the ACPE.

Seibert Stadium is a 6,700-seat multi-purpose stadium in Homewood, Alabama. It is home to the Samford University Bulldogs college football team. The facility opened in 1958 and is named for F. Page Seibert, who in 1961, donated money for the completion of the stadium. The largest crowd in stadium history was in 1994 when over 11,000 showed up to see Steve McNair and Alcorn State.

Seibert Hall is a 4,240-seat multi-purpose arena in Homewood, Alabama. It was built in 1961. It was home to the Samford University Bulldogs basketball team. The basketball team moved into its new home, the Pete Hanna Center during the 2007–08 season. One of the distinctive features of Seibert Hall was the wall of windows behind the basketball goal on the South window, overlooking Seibert Stadium, the football facility at Samford.

Joe Lee Griffin Stadium is a baseball venue located in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. It is home to the Samford Bulldogs college baseball team of the Division I Southern Conference. It has a capacity of 1,000 spectators.The facility was extensively renovated in 2000. It includes locker rooms and offices.The stadium's street address is 800 Lakeshore Drive in Birmingham.

Homewood High School (HHS) is a public high school, serving grades 9-12, in the Homewood, Alabama suburb of Birmingham. It is the only high school in the Homewood City School System. The principal is Joel Henneke. In the summer of 2007, the front of the school was remodeled, and a new building, Pathways Alternative School, was constructed in the upper level of the student parking lot. The front office and lobby were also remodeled in the summer of 2008. In the summer of 2018, construction on a new fine arts wing began. Homewood's colors are red, white, and blue and all competitive teams are known as the Patriots. HHS competes in AHSAA Class 6A.

The Pete Hanna Center is the building housing the 4,974-seat Thomas E. and Marla H. Corts Arena on the campus of Samford University in Homewood (a suburb of Birmingham), in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is home to the Samford Bulldogs basketball and volleyball teams, having replaced Seibert Hall. The facility opened in October 2007 and is named for Pete Hanna, the owner, president and chief executive officer of Hanna Steel Corporation. The arena is named for Thomas and Marla Corts, former president and first lady of Samford University.The Pete Hanna Center opened on October 18, 2007, with a lecture by best-selling author Walter Isaacson. The 101,000-square-foot (9,400 m2) Hanna Center seats 5,000 in Corts Arena and is the home to Samford University Commencement, as well as playing host to concerts, high school basketball, conferences and a yearly stop from the Harlem Globetrotters. A record crowd of 5,116 watched the Samford men's basketball team take on Davidson College on January 31, 2009. The Hanna Center also contains a workout facility for students, faculty and staff, athletics offices, locker rooms, athletic training and strength and conditioning facilities. Most recently, the Pete Hanna Center was the host of the 2009 T-Mobile Invitational. The prestigious national high school basketball tournament was played December 29–30, 2009 at the Hanna Center. The Hanna Center is also the host of the yearly Birmingham stop of the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters.

Edgewood Lake was located in Homewood, Alabama, from 1913 until the 1940s when the lake was drained. The lake was formed by damming Shades Creek near Green Springs Highway. Developed as part of the town of Edgewood, the 117-acre (47 ha) lake was the center of a planned auto racing track that was never completed.

Homewood is a city in southeastern Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. It is a suburb of Birmingham, located on the other side of Red Mountain due south of the city center. As of the 2010 census its population was 25,167, and in 2019 the estimated population was 25,377. Homewood is home to more fast food restaurants per capita than any other U.S. town.
