The Cliff House Hotel is a luxury hotel in Ardmore, County Waterford, Ireland. The House restaurant is located in the hotel.

Samson was a crane barge which ran aground off the coast of Ireland in 1987. Samson had left Liverpool on 9 December 1987, bound for Valletta, Malta. Though the barge was initially being towed by a tugboat, the towline parted in near gale force conditions while off the Welsh coast early on 11 December. The two men aboard the barge were rescued by an RAF Sea King flying from RAF Brawdy, after attempts to reconnect the tow line failed. The barge eventually ran aground at Rams Head, Ardmore, County Waterford, at approximately 7.50 am on 12 December. Dangerous pollutants were removed soon after the barge went aground, but despite questions being raised in the Dáil Éireann, the wrecked barge was not salvaged and remains in situ. The ships' propeller was removed and put on display in the village of Ardmore. In April 2016 the entire jib collapsed into the sea.

Ardmore (Irish: Aird Mhór, meaning 'great height') is a seaside resort and fishing village in County Waterford, Ireland, not far from Youghal on the south coast of Ireland. It has a permanent population of around 430, that increases in the tourist season. It is believed to be the oldest Christian settlement in Ireland. According to tradition, Saint Declan lived in the region in the early 5th century, and Christianised the area before the coming of Saint Patrick. In September 2014, Ardmore was included on a shortlist of Ireland's top tourist towns composed by Fáilte Ireland. It is home to the Michelin-starred restaurant, The House, at the Cliff House Hotel.

St. Paul's Church is a small Church of Ireland church located in the seaside village of Ardmore, County Waterford in Ireland. Built between 1835 and 1840 (and dated 1838 by the incision on the tower), it is situated on a hill overlooking the town, but not as far up the hill as Ardmore's notable St. Declan's Monastery ruins. The church is built on a cross plan, with a three-storey tower facing the front and adorned with four pinnacles. The church's octagonal font is said to reach back to the 16th century, and came from Declan's cathedral. In the church, there is also a silver chalice dated 1726, restored to the church by the antiquarian Robert Day after it had disappeared from the church. The church was consecrated on September 15, 1841.The church is registered under reg. no. 22827005 by the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage.

St. Declan's Monastery, containing the remains of Ardmore Cathedral, is a former monastery and National Monument located in County Waterford, Ireland.

Ardmore GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the West Waterford town of Ardmore, Ireland. The club plays both hurling and gaelic football. It is generally thought to focus more on Gaelic football, having won 2 Senior Football Championships in 1965 and 1977. Recently the club has put more effort into hurling, winning the Waterford Intermediate Hurling Championship for the first time in 2002.

Goat Island is a beach located roughly 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) west of Ardmore, County Waterford, Ireland, in the townland of Ardoginna. The beach is secluded and difficult to find. The inlet where it is located faces south and is sheltered by a sea stack.

Kinsalebeg (Irish: Cionn tSáile) is a civil parish in the historical barony of Decies-within-Drum in County Waterford, Ireland. Kinsalebeg is close to the border with County Cork and across the bay, at Youghal Harbour, from the town of Youghal. The former Church of Ireland church in Kinsalebeg, built in 1821, has been disused since the early 20th century and is now in ruin. The current Roman Catholic church, in Pilltown townland, was built in the late 20th century on the site of an earlier church. This church, which is dedicated to Saint Bartholomew, is in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Waterford and Lismore. A holy well, also associated with Saint Bartholomew, is nearby. The local national (primary) school, Kinsalebeg National School (also known as Scoil Náisiúnta Naomh Parthala), had an enrollment of 59 pupils as of January 2024.

The Blackwater or Munster Blackwater (Irish: An Abhainn Mhór, The Great River) is a river which flows through counties Kerry, Cork and Waterford in Ireland. It rises in the Mullaghareirk Mountains in County Kerry and then flows in an easterly direction across County Cork through the towns of Mallow and Fermoy. It then enters County Waterford where it flows through Lismore, before abruptly turning south at Cappoquin and finally draining into the Celtic Sea at Youghal Harbour in Cork. In total, the Blackwater is 169 km (105 mi) long. The total catchment area of the River Blackwater is 3,324 km2. Its long-term average flow rate of is 89.1 cubic metres per second (m3/s) The Blackwater is notable for being one of the best salmon fishing rivers in the country. Like many Irish rivers, salmon stocks declined in recent years, but the Irish government banned commercial netting of salmon off the coast of Ireland in November 2006.
