Inchicronan Priory (Irish: Prióireacht Inse Chrónáin is an early monastic site, possibly founded 6th century by patron, St Cronan of Tuamgraney Crusheen. The abbey was refounded about 1198AD by Donald O'Brien, (King of Limerick), as a daughter house of Clare Abbey. It became a parish church in 1302AD and was dissolved c.1543 by Henry VIII, but it was restored and in use by 'friars' in the reign of Elizabeth I and became a parish church again in 1615 when Donogh, Earl of Thomond; granted it to Henry, Earl of Thomond.

Clooney (Irish: Cluaine) is a civil parish of County Clare, Ireland, located to the northeast of Ennis, south of Inchicronan. The area is marshy, with the Oysterman's Marsh Natural Heritage Area in the vicinity. Clooney-Quin GAA is a GAA club for the adjoining Catholic parishes of Clooney and Quin.

Barefield or Gortlumman (Irish: Gort Lomán) is a village and townland in County Clare, Ireland. It is located on the R458 road, with the M18 national primary road between Ennis and Gort skirting it. Barefield is in the Catholic parish of Doora Barefield parish. The village itself consists of The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Barefield National School, two shops and two pubs. Access to Barefield has changed in 2007 with the opening of the Ennis Bypass and changed again in 2010 upon the completion of the Gort Bypass.

Clooney-Quin GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village areas of Clooney and Quin, County Clare in Ireland. The club field teams in hurling and Gaelic Football. The club was founded in 1888 and its most notable player was Amby Power, who captained the Clare 1914 All-Ireland winning team.In 2017, Clooney-Quin reached their first county senior final in 73 years where they lost to Sixmilebridge after a replay.
