Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School (NFHSS) is located at 1770 Upper Sherman Avenue in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and is a part of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Originally opened in 1961 as Barton Secondary School, and originally located on 75 Palmer Rd., it had a September 2008 enrolment of 955, and had 28 primary languages spoken within the school by students aside from English. The school's mission statement is "Educating students to become lifelong learners and contributing citizens in a challenging, changing, multi-cultural world." Students are required by Provincial Law to complete 30 mandatory credits and the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) within their secondary school career. The school also offers special education classes as well as an ESL program. The HWDSB announced on May 24, 2012, that Barton Secondary School would be closed, along with Hill Park Secondary School and Mountain Secondary School with the students to be consolidated into a new, $25 million school. The school was renamed Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School in September 2014, in honour of Nora-Frances Henderson, the first woman to be elected to political office in Hamilton. The original building remained in service until the new Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School was opened on October 14, 2020. In July 2018, the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board got approval on building the new Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School. Construction lasted two years. Construction started on September 27, 2018. The school was designed by CS&P Architects and was built by Tambro Construction.

It is a part of the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board and is located on the East Mountain of the city, serving the south-east of Hamilton as well as parts of Binbrook, Caledonia and Glanbrook. The school's Latin motto is "anima, mens, corpus". St. Jean de Brébeuf Catholic Secondary School is often referred to as SJB or Brébeuf. It graduates approximately 350 students every year with over 75% of them going onto post-secondary education.

The riding is located in the Hamilton, Ontario region. The socio-economic composition of the Hamilton Mountain is diverse, having low-income public housing residents and million-dollar estates, highly paid unionized workers and small-wage unskilled workers, and well-established families and recent immigrants.

Hamilton Mountain is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1968. The riding is located in the Hamilton region. The socio-economic composition of the Hamilton Mountain is diverse, with low-income public housing residents as well as million-dollar estates, highly-paid unionized workers, low-wage unskilled workers, and well-established families and recent immigrants. That diversity makes Hamilton Mountain a swing riding in which many elections are virtually two-way or three-way ties. For instance, fewer than 100 votes separated the top two places in 1988. Only 3000 votes separated the top three candidates in 2004. From the 1990s to 2006, the races were between the Liberals and the NDP. After the Liberal Party's collapse in the late 2000s, the Conservatives became the main competitors in the riding. With the Liberal resurgence during the 2015 election, the vote difference between the three major parties have narrowed, solidifying the riding's status as a three-way tossup.

Guido de Brès Christian High School is a Christian high school in Hamilton, Ontario based on the Reformed denomination. It is a privately funded school run by the Guido de Brès Canadian Reformed School Society which was formed in 1974. The school is named after Guido de Brès, a Belgian Reformer who died as a martyr to the faith in 1567. He is the author of the Belgic Confession, one of the Three Forms of Unity for the Reformed churches. A statement from article 12 of this confession is inscribed on a wooden plaque in the front lobby and summarizes the school's vision: "to the end that man may serve his God." This plaque was presented to the school on the occasion of the building's official opening in October 1977. As of 2019, the school has over 400 students and 43 staff members. All courses are taught from a Reformed Christian perspective. The school motto is "Everything in Christ" to reflect this.

The Hamilton, Ontario, tornado of 2005 was a tornado that touched down during the late afternoon hours of Wednesday, November 9, 2005, in the city of Hamilton, Ontario.

Lime Ridge Mall (corporately styled as "CF Lime Ridge") is a two-level indoor shopping mall in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Opened on September 13, 1981, it is the largest mall complex in the city, an 815,000-square-foot (75,700 m2) super-regional shopping centre with over 213 stores including department stores and big box stores such as Hudson's Bay and the former Sears. It is located on Upper Wentworth Street. The mall, which includes an office building, is managed by Cadillac Fairview and has four floors of office space. Bell Media radio stations in Hamilton are tenants of the building. In 1981 the Government of Ontario offered to build an elevated rapid transit line from the Lloyd D. Jackson Square in downtown Hamilton, to the mall. Hamilton turned the proposal down.

Albion Falls is a 19 m (62 ft) classical/cascade waterfall flowing down the Niagara Escarpment in Red Hill Valley, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. With cascade falls the downpour is staggered into a series of steps causing water to "cascade". The top of the falls are located on Mountain Brow Blvd. The lower-end of the falls can be found at the south-end of King's Forest Park in lower Hamilton by following the Red Hill Creek south towards the Niagara Escarpment.Albion Falls was once seriously considered as a possible source of water for Hamilton. Rocks from the Albion Falls area were used in the construction of the Royal Botanical Gardens' Rock Garden.The ravine at the Albion Falls has a legend of the Lover's Leap. The story is that early in the 19th century young Jane Riley, disappointed in love with Joseph Rousseau, stood at the top of a steep cliff not far from thundering Albion Falls and flung herself to the bottom 100 ft (30 m) below. The steep drop has since been dubbed "Lovers' Leap" and many tales have grown up about the suicide.Nearby attractions include the Bruce Trail, Buttermilk Falls, Devil's Punch Bowl, Felker's Falls, Confederation Park (via Red Hill Trail), Mohawk 4 Ice Centre at Mohawk Sports Park, scenic views of lower Hamilton, King's Forest Golf Course and Park, Gage Park and Hamilton Children's Museum.

Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium is a stadium on Upper Kenilworth Avenue in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Located in Mohawk Sports Park, it is primarily used for baseball and was once the home of the minor league Hamilton Redbirds of the New York–Penn League. Built in 1970 when Civic Stadium was renovated to football only, it is named for former Hamilton Police Sergeant Bernie Arbour, who was the director of the Hamilton Police Minor Athletic Association from 1948 to his death in 1967. The Stadium is currently the home of the Hamilton Cardinals of the Intercounty Baseball League the Hamilton Angels of the Golden Horseshoe Baseball League and the Marauders. The ballpark has a capacity of 3,000 people. Bernie Arbour Stadium dimensions are 300 feet down the left field line, 325 down right field, 365 to left-center, 405 to straight-away center and 365 to the power alley in right-center. The main grandstand accommodates upwards of 300 spectators and another 1,000 + spectators can be seated in the first and third base bleachers. The Press Box, seats up to 10 members of the media and is capable of supporting radio and television broadcasts.
