Glenealy GAA

Glenealy (Irish: Gleann Fhaidhle) is a village 8 km (5 mi) west of Wicklow Town, in County Wicklow, on the R752 road. The Dublin–Rosslare railway line also passes through the village. Since the extension of the N11 dual-carriageway from Dublin to within 5 km (3 mi) of the village in 2004, it has been undergoing population growth, attracting people commuting to Dublin. In the 20 years between the 1996 and 2016 census, the village population grew from 383 to 694 people.The village has a school, pub and a small shop known to the locals as the 'yellow shop'.

Carrick Mountain is located in the eastern foothills of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. Historically it was called Carrigmurrely (1756) and Carrickmacreily (1795).

The National Botanic Gardens, Kilmacurragh (Irish: Garraithe Náisiúnta na Lus, Cill Mochura) is a botanic garden outside Wicklow Town, County Wicklow, Ireland. It is a satellite of the main National Botanic Gardens located in Glasnevin, County Dublin. The 52 acre gardens are situated 5km from exit 18 on the M11 motorway. Today, the gardens are in State ownership through the Office of Public Works. In 1996, a 21-hectare portion of the old demesne officially became part of the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland. The following ten years were spent giving the estate’s rare and beautiful plants a new lease of life. Kilmacurragh is now part of the National Botanic Gardens, providing a complementary collection of plants to its parent garden at Glasnevin. Arrive in spring to witness the transformation of the walks, as fallen rhododendron blossoms form a stunning magenta carpet.

Mount Usher Gardens (Irish: Gairdíní Mount Usher) located at Ashford, County Wicklow, Ireland, was laid out in 1868. It is spread on twenty acres of land along River Vartry, having more than 5000 plant species.

It lies on the River Vartry and at the meeting of the R772, R763 and R764 regional roads. The village was formerly on the main Dublin–Wexford route, the N11, but was bypassed by the new N11 in 2004. As of the 2016 census, the village had a population of 1,425 people.
