National Academy of Sciences of Belarus

Akademiya Navuk (Belarusian: Акадэмія навук, pronounced [akaˈdɛmʲija naˈvuk]; Russian: Академия Наук; lit. Academy of Sciences) is a station on the Minsk Metro's Maskoŭskaja line. Named after the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, which is located nearby, the station was opened along the first stage of the metro on 30 June 1984. Designed by architects A.Zenzin and M.Pirogov, the station is a typical pillar-trispan consisting of two rows of concrete pillars, which are revetted with grey marble, and punctuated by stainless steel insets. In addition the station features contrasting white marbled walls and grey granite floor. Both vestibules have large artworks (work of V.Churilo and S.Sokolov). The station has two underground vestibules, the western one is located on the intersection of the Independence avenue with the Surganov street, and is linked to the stations by escalators. The eastern one also offers access to the "Oktyabr" cinema and the Academy itself. In the future it is possible that this station will be a transfer point to the fourth line.

The Yakub Kolas Belarusian Humanities Lyceum (Belarusian: Беларускі гуманітарны ліцэй імя Якуба Коласа, romanized: Byelaruski humanitarny litsey imya Yakuba Kolasa) is a private secondary school, formerly located at 21 Kiraw Street in Minsk, Belarus.

The Belarusian State Academy of Arts (Belarusian: Беларуская дзяржаўная акадэмія мастацтваў Russian: Белорусская государственная академия искусств) is a state-owned institution of higher education in Minsk, Belarus. The Belarusian State Academy of Arts has status as a leading institution of the national system of art and cultural education alongside the Belarusian State Academy of Music and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.It was established in 1945 as the Belarus Theatrical institute. Art faculty was established in 1953, and renamed into the "Belarusian State Academy of Arts" in 2001.

The Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is headquartered in Minsk, with a division in Gomel.

The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, also known as BSUIR (Belarusian: Беларускі дзяржаўны ўніверсітэт інфарматыкі і радыёэлектронікі), is a public Higher Education Institution accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus. Nowadays it is a large educational and scientific complex in Minsk, Belarus. BSUIR was founded on March 15, 1964, and plays a leading role in preparing its students in the fields of computer science, radioelectronics and telecommunications in Belarus. Over 50,000 engineers and 1,000 PhD and DScs, successfully working in the most science-intensive fields of the Belarus economy, have graduated from the university. BSUIR employs 2 academicians and 2 corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 301 Professors, and 317 Doctors of Science. Circa 17,000 students are taking courses out of 108 degree and non-degree programs; over 500 are foreign students. The University is made of 10 faculties, 38 chairs; Institute for Professional Development and Retraining of Top Managers and Specialists in Information Technologies and Radioelectronicsing (Institute of Information Technologies); R&D Unit. Educational process is supported by: 27 branches of academic departments at enterprises; 176 educational and research labs; 33 joint educational, research and production labs; 8 certified educational centres established in cooperation with such world leading companies as Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, National Instruments, INTES, SAP, NVIDIA, Forte Knowledge.

Minsk Radioengineering College (Belarusian: Мі́нскі Радыётэхні́чны Кале́дж, Mínski Radyjotechníčny Kaliédž, Russian: Минский Радиотехнический колледж, Minskiy Radiotekhnicheskiy kolledzh) is an educational Institution of the Republic of Belarus. Training with secondary special education on the basis of basic education.

Old Belarusian History Museum is a museum in Minsk, Belarus. The museum was founded in 1977 as a center for the study and promotion of the Belarusian artistic heritage. The basis of the museum collection includes unique exhibits collected for many years by the staff of the Institute of Art History, Ethnography and Folklore named after K. Krapiva (IIEF) in the course of art criticism and ethnographic expeditions throughout Belarus.

Kalinin Square (Belarusian:Плошчы Калініна) is the 5th square on the Independence Avenue of Minsk. The square was named in honor of the Soviet Head of State Mikhail Kalinin. The square started to form in 1953. The monument to Kalinin, located on the square, was built in 1978.

Independence Avenue (Belarusian: праспект Незалежнасці, Russian: проспект Независимости) (Praspiekt Niezaliežnasci) is the main street of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Independence Avenue crosses Minsk radially from its centre towards the North-East. Length of the avenue is about 15 km (9.3 mi).

Park Čaliuskincaŭ (Belarusian: Парк Чалюскінцаў, Russian: Парк Челюскинцев) is a Minsk Metro station. Opened on June 30, 1984. The station entrance is near Park Chalyuskintsaw and close to the Children's Railroad.
