The Claremont Park station was a station on the New York Central Railroad's Harlem Line in the East Morrisania neighborhood of the Bronx, New York City. The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad also ran through this station but did not stop here.

Validus Preparatory Academy is a small public high school in the south Bronx, New York. Founded in 2005, Validus currently enrolls 432 students in grades 9–12.

The Morris Houses is a NYCHA Housing Complex that consists of 17 Buildings that is located in Morrisania, The Bronx. It is also located between East 169th to 171st Streets and between Park to 3rd Avenues. This is also located directly next to the Metro-North Railroad's train tracks. The housing complex was named after Gouverneur Morris. Buildings I, V, VI, X-XII, XVI, and XVII have 16 and 17 stories tall and Buildings II-IV, VII-IX, and XIII-XV has 20 stories each.

The Bronx Lyceum was a building in the Bronx, New York City erected on the southeast corner of Third Avenue and 170th Street by Henry Zeltner in 1870 across the street from his brewery. The structure was at first known as Zeltner's Hall and was surrounded by a picnic park. Following the sale of the entertainment and meeting hall by the Zeltner family, the property was called Niblo's Garden, a familiar name borrowed from an early New York opera house on Broadway, near Prince Street that was razed in 1895. The building was used as a meeting hall by politicians and union members, and served variously as an entertainment hall, skating venue, and amusement park until its destruction by fire in 1929.

The Claremont Parkway station, signed as "Claremont Parkway − Between 171st St. & 172nd St." was a local station on the demolished IRT Third Avenue Line in the Bronx, New York City. It originally opened on September 19, 1888 by the Suburban Rapid Transit Company as Wendover Avenue Station, and had three tracks and two side platforms. It was the northern terminus of the Third Avenue elevated until 1891. It was also two blocks east of the former Claremont Park New York Central Railroad station along the Harlem Line that was closed in 1960. The next stop to the north was 174th Street. The next stop to the south was 169th Street. The station closed on April 29, 1973. Claremont Parkway station burned down on April 30, 1973 in a huge arson fire.

Claremont Park is a park in the Morrisania section of the Bronx in New York City. The land on which the park sits was once part of the Morris family estate. It became a municipal park in 1884 as part of the New Parks Act.

Bronx Preparatory Charter School is a public middle and high school in the South Bronx. Comprising students in grades 5-12, Bronx Prep graduated its first class of seniors in June 2007. The school is located in a modern facility designed and constructed by GLUCK+ Architects specifically for Bronx Prep at 3872 Third Avenue.

The 169th Street station was a local station on the demolished IRT Third Avenue Line in the Bronx, New York City. It was originally opened on September 2, 1888 by the Suburban Rapid Transit Company, and had three tracks and two side platforms. It was the northern terminus of the Third Avenue elevated for over two weeks. In 1902, the station and the rest of the Third Avenue elevated were acquired by Interborough Rapid Transit Company. The next stop to the north was Claremont Parkway. The next stop to the south was 166th Street. The station closed on April 29, 1973. The site of the former station is next to the Frederick Douglass Academy III Secondary School.

Jonathan Levin High School for Media and Communications is a public high school located in The Bronx, New York City. It is one of six smaller specialty high schools located on the campus of the former William H. Taft High School, which was closed in 2008 and divided into separate collocated specialty schools. It is scheduled to close in June 2016.

William Howard Taft High School is a former New York City high school in the southwest section of the Bronx, whose building now houses small specialized high schools. The school was operated by the New York City Department of Education. The Taft school campus is located on Sheridan Avenue and 172nd Street in the Bronx.

Mount Eden Hospital (also known as Mt. Eden Hospital or Mt. Eden General Hospital) was located in the Bronx; it was razed in 2011. The BronxCare Health and Wellness Center, an outpatient medical facility, now exists at that location.The name "Mt. Eden Hospital" is used in The Unruly Life of Woody Allen.

Bathgate Industrial Park is an industrial park located in the Morrisania neighborhood of the Bronx, New York City. It is south of the Cross Bronx Expressway, west of Third and Fulton Avenues (near Crotona Park), north of Claremont Parkway, and east of Washington Avenue in the district of Bronx Community Board 3. A joint project of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the New York City Economic Development Corporation (the PANYNJ leasing it from the NYCEDC) it opened in 1982 and is operated as a non profit organization. It was developed as an incentive to revitalize the South Bronx. The designation of the Bathgate Industrial Park in 1980 involved rezoning a former residential district characterized by vacant land and buildings.The industrial park covers seven city blocks spanning 20 acres (8.1 ha), and contains eight buildings and has approximately 454,000 square feet of space for light industrial, distribution, office and educational uses. Tenants include a generic drug manufacturer and food distributors, and academic and vocational training centers. The Mott Hall Bronx High School and the Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science are located on the site, within the Bathgate Educational Campus. In January 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City, a "mega-facility" vaccination site for COVID-19 vaccinations was opened at Bathgate Industrial Park, operating 24/7. Previously, the location had been a COVID testing site.
