Fivemiletown is a village and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is 16 miles (26 km) east of Enniskillen and 26 miles (43 km) west-south-west of Dungannon, on the A4 Enniskillen-to-Dungannon road.Fivemiletown's population was 1,243 at the 2011 Census. The village is most famous for its creamery, which was begun as a cooperative in 1898 by Hugh de Fellonburg Montgomery. Fivemiletown Creamery originally made butter and milk, but now makes cheeses for the British and Irish market, and for export across Europe and North America.

On 12 December 1993, a unit of the Provisional Irish Republican Army's (IRA) East Tyrone Brigade ambushed a two-men unmarked mobile patrol of the RUC in Fivemiletown, County Tyrone. Two constables (Andrew Beacom and Ernest Smith) were shot and killed instantly. A military helicopter was also fired at by a second IRA unit in the aftermath of the incident, during a follow-up operation launched in the surroundings of the town by both the British Army and the RUC. A number of suspects were questioned, but the perpetrators made good their escape. The action occurred just three days before the Downing Street Declaration.

Blessingbourne House is a large Elizabethan style manor-house situated in parkland near Fivemiletown in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.The present house was designed by Frederick Pepys Cockerell and constructed between 1870 and 1874. It is built in an Elizabethan style of grey stone overlooking Lough Fadda and is surrounded by gardens with yew trees, a gravel terrace and a rhododendron walk. Woodland trails lead round the lake. The entire estate now comprises some 550-acre (2.2 km2)s and is a working farm. In recent times the coach house has been made available for private functions and the outbuildings converted to holiday apartments. An 8 km mountain bike trail has been newly laid out.

Slieve Beagh (Irish: Sliabh Beatha) is a mountainous area straddling the border between County Monaghan in the Republic of Ireland and County Fermanagh and County Tyrone in Northern Ireland. A point just east of its summit is the highest point in Monaghan; however the true summit is on the Fermanagh-Tyrone border. The point where the three counties meet, is referred to as the "Three County Hollow".

The A4 is a major east–west road in Northern Ireland. It travels for 69.2 miles from Portadown to Belcoo through County Armagh, County Tyrone and County Fermanagh. Although once being a single continuous route, the A4 nowadays is split into two completely divided stretches. The route branches off from the A3 Lisburn-Armagh road in Portadown and meets the M1 at Junction 12. The A4 the re-appears at the end of the M1 motorway at Junction 15 south of Moygashel, from which point it continues uninterrupted to the border village of Belcoo in western County Fermanagh. At the border with the Republic of Ireland, the A3 meets with the N16 road to Sligo. For its entire length the A4 is a primary route. At present, it is mainly single carriageway, apart from a 13 mile long section from the end of the M1 at Moygashel until Ballygawley, which is dual carriageway. There are numerous stretches of the route which have overtaking lanes through counties Tyrone and Fermanagh.

Clabby (from Irish Clabaigh, meaning 'place of pock-marked land' is a small village in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It is 3 miles (5 km) north-west of Fivemiletown and 4 miles (6 km) north-east of Tempo, close to the County Tyrone boundary. The 2011 Census recorded a population of 268. It is situated within Fermanagh and Omagh district.

On 2 May 1974 the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) attacked a British Army base manned by the Ulster Defence Regiment (UDR) near the Northern Ireland–Republic of Ireland border at Clogher, County Tyrone. The IRA unit engaged the small base with automatic weapons, rockets and improvised mortars. Ferret armoured cars were deployed to the scene and a fierce firefight erupted. The IRA withdrew behind the border with the Republic. The assault on the outpost killed greenfinch Eva Martin and wounded another UDR soldier.

Clogher (from Irish Clochar, meaning 'stony place') is a village and civil parish in the border area of south County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It lies on the River Blackwater, 5.8 miles from the border crossing to County Monaghan. It stands on the townlands of Clogher Demesne and Clogher Tenements. The 2011 Census recorded a population of 717. The civil parish of Clogher covers areas of County Fermanagh as well as County Tyrone.

Brookeborough (; Irish: Achadh Lon, meaning 'Field of the Blackbirds') is a village in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, at the westerly foot of Slieve Beagh. It lies about eleven miles east of Enniskillen, just off the A4 trunk road, and about five miles west of the County Tyrone boundary. It is situated in the civil parish of Aghavea and the historic barony of Magherastephana. It is situated within Fermanagh and Omagh district. According to the 2001 Census, Brookeborough had a population of 517. The economy is heavily dependent on cattle and sheep farming. There are five places of Christian worship; a Catholic church, a Methodist church (built in 1839), an Elim Pentecostal church, a Church of Ireland church and a Baptist church; two public houses; and two primary (elementary) schools.

Brookeborough railway station first opened by the Clogher Valley Railway, which is a three foot gauge line. It opened in May 1887 and closed on 1 January 1942 (with the last trains running the previous day). The station is in the village of Brookeborough, in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

Salry is a townland and locality in Magheracross civil parish, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It is located at 54° 24' 53" N, 7° 36' 47" W. Salry is in the Barony of Tirkennedy and is 212.98 acres in area.

Tattykeeran (from Irish Taite an Chaorthainn, meaning 'tate of the rowans') is a townland of 459 acres in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the civil parish of Aghavea and the historic barony of Magherastephana.
