Park Hill is a neighborhood in southwestern Yonkers, New York. The neighborhood is located atop a bluff east of South Broadway. The neighborhood was developed in 1888 by the American Real Estate Company of Manhattan as one of the first planned communities in the New York metropolitan area. The neighborhood's centerpiece for a short time was the Hendric Hudson Hotel, designed by Bruce Price, the architect of the Château Frontenac in Quebec City.Park Hill contains many vintage single-family homes, many overlooking the Hudson River. The neighborhood's housing stock consists primarily of large Victorian, Tudor Revival, Arts & Crafts, and Georgian Colonial-style homes. Notable residents in the past include the actor Richard Bennett and his daughters, Joan and Constance as well as Dennis O'Brien, the United Artists counsel.Park Hill was once the home of a funicular railroad, the Park Hill Incline, which ran from the Getty Square Branch of the New York and Putnam Railroad to Alta Avenue between 1894 and 1937. The two stations that served the Incline are now private residences.

Tibbetts Brook, originally Tippett's Brook or Tibbitt's Brook, is a stream in the southern portion of mainland New York, flowing north to south from the city of Yonkers in Westchester County into the borough of the Bronx within New York City. Originally emptying into Spuyten Duyvil Creek as part of the Harlem River system, the stream is now partially subterranean, ending above ground at the south end of Van Cortlandt Lake within Van Cortlandt Park. There it proceeds into city sewers, draining into either the northern end of the Harlem River or the Wards Island Water Pollution Control Plant. The brook provides significant watershed to both Van Cortlandt Park at its south end and Tibbetts Brook Park at its north end. There have been modern proposals to daylight the southern portion of the brook back onto the surface.

Yonkers Middle High School is located in Yonkers, New York, United States. The school offers the International Baccalaureate program. Yonkers High School offers Advanced Placement courses and participates in the International Baccalaureate program. St. Margaret of Cortona School, also known as SMS, is a Middle States Accredited Catholic Elementary School located in Riverdale, in the Bronx, New York. St. Margaret's is a Roman Catholic, coed, and religious school. It was founded in 1911 by the Sisters of Charity and the parish of St. Margaret of Cortona.

North Riverdale is the northernmost part of the Riverdale neighborhood of the borough of the Bronx in New York City, particularly above 254th Street. It is a residential sub-neighborhood, and shares its northern border with Yonkers, New York in Westchester County. The northernmost point in New York City is at the Hudson River on the campus of the College of Mount Saint Vincent.

Public Bath House No. 4 was a historic public bath located in the Nodine Hill section of Yonkers, Westchester County, New York. It was built in 1925 and was a two-story, six bay wide pastel stucco building in a Second Renaissance Revival / Mission style. It features a central pavilion flanked by slightly recessed bays containing modified Palladian windows. The interior was in four sections: reception area, custodian's apartment, baths, and a swimming pool. It was maintained by the Laporta family, specifically Gabrielle Laporta of Colts Neck, NJ. The reception and shower areas were modernized in 1961.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, and demolished in June 2011.

Tibbetts Brook Park is a 161-acre (65 ha) park located in the Lincoln Park section of Yonkers in Westchester County, New York. Opened in 1927, it was one of the first developed parks in Westchester County and currently serves residents with activities that include swimming, hiking, sports, nature watching and fishing.The park was named for George Tibbetts, a Briton who had settled the land in 1668. Tibbetts is bordered by the Cross County Parkway to the north, Saw Mill River Parkway to the west, McLean Avenue to the south and Midland Avenue to the East. Tibbetts Brook Park is .6 miles (1 km) north of Van Cortlandt Park along South County Trailway, and Tibbetts Brook crosses north-south through the park on its way to the Harlem River.the park is not bordered by McLean ave to the south, it is bordered by Jervis rd to the south The park is the home ground of the New York Magpies in the USAFL.

Salanter Akiba Riverdale High School (SAR High School) is an Open Orthodox Jewish day school located in Riverdale, New York City. It was founded in 2003 by Rabbi Naftali (Tully) Harcsztark. The school is affiliated with SAR Academy, which is also in Riverdale. The high school's founding and current principal is Rabbi Tully Harcsztark. In fall 2019, previous assistant principal Rabbi Jonathan Kroll, returned to the school to serve as its Co-Principal. As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 539 students and 121.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 4.45:1.

The Church of the Immaculate Conception, commonly known as Immaculate Conception St. Mary's Church, or simply St. Mary's Church, is a Catholic parish and church located in Yonkers, New York. It is the oldest Catholic parish in Yonkers.
