The Blair Street Bridge is a concrete and steel girder bridge carrying the Lyell Highway through the township of New Norfolk across the River Derwent in Tasmania, Australia. Completed in 1974, the Blair Street Bridge is the fourth bridge to be constructed at New Norfolk. The bridge's steel girders were built by Russell Allport & Co on Sunderland Street in Moonah, Tasmania.

New Norfolk (Leenowwenne/palawa kani: wulawali) is a town on the River Derwent, in the south-east of Tasmania, Australia. With a population of 6,153 in 2021, New Norfolk is the principal township of the Derwent Valley region. Located within the Derwent Valley Council, New Norfolk is situated 32 kilometres (20 mi) north-west of the state capital Hobart on the Lyell Highway and classified as part of the Greater Hobart statistical area.Established in 1807, New Norfolk ranks as Tasmania's third-oldest European settlement after Hobart and George Town. It was primarily founded by evacuees relocated from Norfolk Island. New Norfolk is also popular for its natural beauty, offering opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and picnicking. Established in 1861, one of the attractions near New Norfolk is the Salmon Ponds, a fish pond considered to be the oldest trout hatchery in the Southern Hemisphere.New Norfolk has seen substantial investment and redevelopment in recent years, including the $500m residential and community precinct The Mills.

The Bush Inn is an Australian pub and hotel located within the Derwent Valley township of New Norfolk, Tasmania. It is one of the oldest pubs in Australia, and is thought by some to be the oldest continuously operating pub in Australia. The establishment is listed on the Tasmanian Heritage Register and the Australian Heritage Database.

The Division of Wilmot was an Australian Electoral Division in the state of Tasmania. It was located in central Tasmania, and was named after Sir John Eardley-Wilmot, the sixth Lieutenant-Governor of Tasmania. At various times it included the towns of Deloraine, Beaconsfield, Devonport, Latrobe, and New Norfolk. The Division was proclaimed on 2 October 1903, when Tasmania was first divided into Divisions, and was first contested at the 1903 Federal election. At the electoral redistribution of 12 September 1984, it was abolished and replaced by the Division of Lyons, to jointly honour Joseph Lyons, the tenth Prime Minister of Australia, who held Wilmot at the federal level from 1929–1939 and at the state level from 1909 to 1929, and his wife Dame Enid Lyons, the first woman elected to the Australian House of Representatives in 1943 and subsequently the first female member of Cabinet (1949–51).

New Norfolk High School is a government co-educational comprehensive secondary school located in New Norfolk, Tasmania, Australia. The school caters for approximately 350 students from Years 7 to 12 and is administered by the Tasmanian Department of Education.In 2019 student enrolments were 314. The school principal is Adam Potito.

Magra is a rural residential locality in the local government areas (LGA) of Brighton (7%), Southern Midlands (9%) and Derwent Valley (84%) in the Hobart, Central and South-east LGA regions of Tasmania. The locality is about 26 kilometres (16 mi) west of the town of Brighton. The 2016 census recorded a population of 699 for the state suburb of Magra. It is in the Derwent Valley a few kilometres north of New Norfolk.

The Royal Derwent Hospital, (originally New Norfolk Insane Asylum and later Lachlan Park) was built to house mentally ill and mentally handicapped persons in 1827, soon after the separation of Van Diemens Land from New South Wales. Its name was changed on 27 March 1968 to the Royal Derwent Hospital., also absorbing the nearby Millbrook Rise facility on 1 July 1968 to house patients. Lawitta is a rural locality in the local government area (LGA) of Derwent Valley in the South-east LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) north-west of the town of New Norfolk. The 2016 census recorded a population of 232 for the state suburb of Lawitta.

Trading as Norske Skog Boyer, the Boyer Mill is a pulp and paper mill located in Boyer, Tasmania, Australia. Constructed in 1941 by Australian Newsprint Mills, the mill was the first producer of newsprint paper in Australasia. Producing 260,000 tonnes (260,000 long tons; 290,000 short tons) of product in 2020, the mill is currently Australia's only manufacturer of newsprint and magazine-grade paper. The mill's operations make a substantial contribution to Tasmania's gross state product, estimated at $390 million. Boyer Mill has been owned and operated by the Norwegian pulp and paper company Norske Skog since 2000.

Hayes is a rural locality in the local government area (LGA) of Derwent Valley in the South-east LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) north-west of the town of New Norfolk. The 2016 census recorded a population of 110 for the state suburb of Hayes.

Boyer is a rural locality in the local government areas (LGA) of Brighton and Derwent Valley in the Hobart and South-east LGA regions of Tasmania. The locality is about 18 kilometres (11 mi) south-west of the town of Brighton. The 2016 census recorded a population of 40 for the state suburb of Boyer. It is a town on the eastern side of the River Derwent, opposite and slightly downstream of New Norfolk.
