CKBT-FM

CJIQ-FM (88.3 MHz) is a non-commercial Canadian radio station in Kitchener, Ontario, serving the tri-cities of Kitchener, Cambridge and Waterloo. It is the campus radio station of Conestoga College and it airs an alternative rock format with other genres of music heard on weekends. The station is run and staffed by the students of the Broadcast Radio and Journalism programs at the Doon campus. CJIQ broadcasts with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 3,020 watts (8,220 watts maximum). Its transmitter is atop the CIII-TV Global tower in Ayr. CJIQ can also be heard on Rogers Digital Cable 947.

CBLA-FM-2 is the CBC Radio One station licensed to Paris, Ontario, Canada but primarily serving the nearby Waterloo Region. It broadcasts on the FM band at 89.1 MHz. Previously licensed as a rebroadcaster of CBLA-FM in Toronto, it began originating a limited amount of programming targeting Waterloo Region and surrounding cities in March 2013. Studios are located on King Street West in downtown Kitchener.

Paris District High School (PDHS) is a regional high school in Paris, Ontario, Canada. The school was built in 1923, replacing the previous grammar school which had been built in 1858, and was known officially as Paris High School until a large addition was constructed in the late 1960s. In 2004, PDHS served students from Paris and other towns found in the immediate area, including St. George, Drumbo, Burford, Princeton and Glen Morris.

Barker's Bush is a forest located in the Grand River watershed near the banks of the Nith River in the community of Paris, County of Brant, Ontario, Canada. The bush is directly north and west of Lion's Park, and less than one kilometre northwest of the confluence of the Nith and the Grand rivers. Consisting of a mix of both coniferous and deciduous trees common to the Carolinian forests of southwestern Ontario, the bush itself is riddled with extensive bike and hiking trails which are used frequently, especially so through the warmer months (typically late Spring through early Fall). The vast majority of Barkers Bush historically has been located on private property, however, trespassing has generally been accepted and the public has used the trails extensively for many years. Historically, the only public land entrance to the bush was through Lion's Park, however, this changed in 2002 when the local municipality built a steel footbridge from the east banks of the Nith to the west banks located in the bush itself. In 2016 Losani Homes purchased the agricultural fields in which Barkers Bush surrounds to develop a new subdivision, as well as some of the forest itself. In response the County of Brant bought roughly 100 acres of Barkers Bush in 2019 to preserve the rest of the forest and trails within it.The skeletal remains of the river dam found at the southeastern edge of the bush are a relic from an era when shipping traffic was common on the Nith.

Paris (2021 population, 14,956) is a community located in the County of Brant, Ontario, Canada. It lies just northwest from the city of Brantford at the spot where the Nith River empties into the Grand River. Paris was voted "the Prettiest Little Town in Canada" by Harrowsmith Magazine. The town was established in 1850. In 1999, its town government was amalgamated into that of the County of Brant, ending 149 years as a separate incorporated municipality, with Paris as the largest population centre in the county.

Roseville is a community in Ontario, Canada located at 43°20′35″N 80°28′31″W. It is within the rural township of North Dumfries, which forms part of the Region of Waterloo, and is located between Ayr, Kitchener and Highway 401. There is another community in Ontario named Roseville located in the Regional Municipality of Durham near Uxbridge.

The Arlington Hotel is a historic hotel in Paris, Ontario. Built in the early 1850s by O.B. Bradford, it was first known as the Bradford House/Hotel. The Ealand family, who took over the house in 1882 after O.B. Bradford's sudden death, and renamed it the Arlington.The hotel was the site of many important social occasions, including the farewell gathering in 1940 for the first group of Paris soldiers before their departure overseas during the Second World War, which was chaired by Mayor J. P. McCammon.The hotel underwent many ownership changes through the years. In the mid-90s the hotel was bought and renovated before closing in the mid-2000s. In 2014 the hotel was bought by a group of owners who renovated the hotel and restaurant. The restaurant was re-opened as "The Forks at the Arlington", a tribute to Paris being the fork of the Grand and Nith Rivers. The hotel now boasts three eateries: edit. (formerly Woolfe & Wilde, and The Forks at the Arlington), 1851 Public House (available for private parties only), and The Library Bar at The Arlington (available for private parties only).The hotel was recognized as an Ontario Heritage Site on May 15, 1990.

The Nith River is a river in Brant, Oxford and Perth counties and the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. The Nith River is approximately 125km in length and empties into the Grand River at the town of Paris. It is named after the River Nith in Scotland.

CKGL (570 AM) is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts at 570 AM in Kitchener, Ontario. The station currently broadcasts a news/talk format branded on-air as CityNews 570. The station is owned by Rogers Sports & Media, and is an affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays Radio Network. CKGL is also the radio broadcaster for the Kitchener Rangers.
