Stone Road Mall is a shopping mall in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, situated at Stone Road West and Edinburgh Road. It is the largest shopping mall in Guelph, with approximately 520,000 square feet (50,000 m2) of gross leasable area and 130 stores. It is operated by Primaris Management Inc., and its anchors are Marshalls, Sport Chek, and Chapters-Indigo following the closure of the third anchor tenant, Sears. The area of the former Sears Canada was demolished and became an expansion of the mall in late 2019. Toys "R" Us, HomeSense and Mark's now occupy that location since October 20, 2020.

The OVC is one of five veterinary schools that offer the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, DVM program in Canada. The program is highly competitive and only admits a select number of applicants each year. The OVC was ranked 1st in Canada and 5th in the world for veterinary medicine by the QS World University Rankings 2020.

The Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) (French: Centre de demande d’admission aux universités de l’Ontario) is a non-profit organization based in Guelph that processes online applications for admission to universities in Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1971 by the Council of Ontario Universities and the Ontario Universities' Council on Admissions, to reduce the duplication and costs involved in processing applications. The OUAC processes applications to undergraduate programs, medical school, law school, teacher education, and rehabilitation sciences programs at nearly all of Ontario's 21 universities - only the RMC does not process applications through the OUAC.

The Eramosa River is a river in Wellington County in southwestern Ontario which rises near Erin, Ontario, and flows southwest through the city of Guelph, where it joins the Speed River, which then enters the Grand River in Cambridge. The river is believed to derive its name from the Mississauga word um-ne-mo-sah, meaning "black dog" or "dead dog".

The Centre for Biodiversity Genomics (CBG) is a non-profit research institute at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. It is led and was developed by Dr. Paul D. N. Hebert. Originally founded in 2007 as the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario, it was re-branded as the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics (CBG) in 2012 following completion of the 50,000 square foot facility’s second stage of construction. The CBG conducts research in species identification using DNA barcoding and metabarcoding. The Centre is recognized for its global role in biodiversity genomics and supports the international research community by providing sequencing and informatics services. It analyzes millions of specimens annually using high-throughput DNA sequencers and mainframe computers to process and interpret genetic data. The CBG also supports the Barcode of Life Data System (BOLD), which is a cloud-based platform specifically developed for storage and analysis of DNA barcode data, and the Multiplex Barcode Research And Visualization Environment (mBRAVE), which is an analogous platform to support highly multiplexed projects derived from high-throughput sequencing instruments. The CBG also hosts the secretariat of the International Barcode of Life (iBOL) consortium, which is a not-for-profit alliance involving researchers and organizations from over 40 countries with a mission to inventory the world's species using DNA barcoding.

The Guelph Farmers' Market has served as a cultural and commercial anchor in downtown Guelph since the first Market House was built in 1827. After 180 years it is still going strong and remains a popular stop on Saturday mornings for both locals and visitors. The Guelph Farmers' Market's website proclaims "Buy Local - Buy Fresh", reflecting the growing trend to "eat where you live" which is supported by local, national, international organizations and popular opinion.The Farmers Market occupies a single building and surrounding outdoor space, housing approximately 60 vendors in winter, with numbers swelling to over 120 vendors during the summer and early fall. Vendors at the market offer a variety of products and services, including fresh produce, baked goods, crafts, personal care products, clothing, photography and a collection of works by local artists. The venue also plays host to a number of charitable events throughout the year.The market currently stands at the corner of Gordon St and Waterloo Ave in what was previously the show horse barn. It was relocated to this location in 1968.

Guelph City Hall is the seat of local government in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Designed by Moriyama & Teshima Architects and completed in 2009, the new City Hall is located adjacent to the historic Old City Hall, which itself is now serving as a Provincial Offences Courthouse. Prior to the construction of the new City Hall, municipal departments had been spread across five different downtown locations. The Guelph Memorial Gardens arena was demolished to make way for the new civic building.The City Hall was built to meet the LEED Silver standard set out by the Canada Green Building Council. As a result, operating costs are 30 to 40 percent lower than that of a similarly sized typical office building.

Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic minor basilica and parish church in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. A Gothic Revival style building constructed between 1876 and 1888 by architect Joseph Connolly, it is considered Connolly's best work. The monumental church contains decorative carving and stained glass executed by skilled craftsmen. The church of Our Lady is one of the 122 parishes in the Diocese of Hamilton and currently has 2,600 families in the congregation. In 1990, the church was designated a National Historic Site of Canada. Pope Francis designated the church a basilica on 8 December 2014.
