Gresford

The Gresford Methodist Church, historically known as the Gresford Wesleyan Methodist Church, is a church on Chester Road in Gresford, Wrexham County Borough, Wales. The Wesleyan Methodist Church held its first service in 1879, and was built as a replacement for the Pant Methodist Chapel, located on Turnpike Lane in Gresford. It remains a place of worship.

The Rofft was a historic site at Marford in the Wrexham County Borough. It was initially a pre-historic camp, and later a motte and bailey castle. There are no visible remains of the site today.

All Saints' Church (Welsh: Eglwys yr Holl Saint) stands in the former coal mining village of Gresford in Wrexham County Borough, Wales. It is a large, mainly late 15th-century church in a slightly red sandstone, in many ways more typical of nearby Cheshire churches. It has been described as the finest parish church in Wales, and has the most surviving medieval stained glass of any Welsh church.The bells of the parish church of All Saints are one of the traditional Seven Wonders of Wales. Not only are the peal of bells of note, listed it is said for the purity of their tone, but the church itself is remarkable for its size, beauty, interior church monuments, and its churchyard yew trees. The bells are commemorated in an anonymous rhyme: Pistyll Rhaeadr and Wrexham steeple, Snowdon's mountain without its people, Overton yew trees, St Winefride wells, Llangollen bridge and Gresford bells.The church was designated as a Grade I listed building on 7 June 1963, as "an exceptional example of a late-medieval church with fine medieval glass and furnishings".

Gresford (for Llay) Halt was a small railway station located on the Great Western Railway's Paddington to Birkenhead line a few miles north of Wrexham in Wales and halfway up the Gresford bank.

All Saints Primary School is a primary school in Gresford, Wales. It was built in memory of Thomas Vowler Short, Bishop of St Asaph, in 1874. It is a Grade II listed building.

Marford is a village in Wrexham County Borough, Wales, near the Wales-England border. Marford covers some 750 acres (3.0 km2), where the hills of north-east Wales meet the Cheshire Plain. Distant landmarks that can be seen clearly from Marford include Eaton Hall, Chester Town Hall and Cathedral. Beyond that on the Cheshire plains, Peckforton Castle and its hills form the skyline, with the outcrop of rock at Beeston Castle.

The Flash (Welsh: Y Flash or historically Pwll Gwenllian) or Gresford Flash is a lake located near Borras and Gresford, in Wrexham County Borough, Wales. The Flash is an artificial lake which is commonly used for sailing and other recreational pursuits. The lake covers just under 50,000 square metres in an area between Gresford and Borras. Gresford Sailing Club based here, training and racing in small dinghies.

Horsley Hall was a Jacobethan-style house with formal gardens, near to Gresford, Wrexham County Borough, that was destroyed in 1963.

Pant-yr-Ochain is a historic country house and public house, near Gresford, Wrexham, in North Wales. The Grade II listed building is located in hilly terrain north-east of Wrexham, next to a series of shallow lakes, which also takes its name. There is a locally run miniature railway next to the building. The current building is largely in the neo-Jacobean style, with the building dating to a building on the site from the 1530s–1550s known as Pant Iocyn, around the time it was under the ownership of Edward Almer. It was largely modified in 1805 and 1835 under the Cunliffes ownership, until 1878 when it (again) became part of the Acton Hall estate. From the 1960s to the 1990s it became a hospitality venue, becoming a restaurant, hotel and pub in stages, and a sports bar in the early 1990s. The building is largely now a pub, operated by Brunning & Price since 1994.

Chwarel Singret is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the preserved county of Clwyd, north Wales.

Borras (; historically Welsh: Bwras) is a hamlet in Wrexham County Borough, Wales to the north-east of the city of Wrexham. It is part of the community of Holt. The nearby residential area of Borras Park is named after Borras; and is colloquially shortened to just "Borras", but is part of the community of Acton, Wrexham, in the city of Wrexham.

Wrexham (Welsh: Wrecsam) is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. Also, however, it is one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.
