Prospekt Mira (Kaluzhsko–Rizhskaya line)

Prospekt Mira (Russian: Проспе́кт Ми́ра) is a station of the Moscow Metro's Koltsevaya line. Opened on 30 January 1952 as part of the second stage of the line, it is a pylon design by architects Vladimir Gelfreykh and Mikhail Minkus. Called initially Botanichesky Sad (Ботанический Сад) after the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University which are located nearby, the theme of this station develops the connotation of the name in the overall colour tone. The arches are faced with flared white marble and are topped with ceramic bas-relief frieze made of floral elements. In the centre are medallion bas-reliefs (work of G.Motovilov) featuring the different aspects in the development of agriculture in the Soviet Union. The station walls are laid with dark red Ural marble and chessboard floor pattern is made of grey and black granite. The ceiling vault is decorated with casts, and lighting comes from several cylindrical chandeliers. The station's vestibule is built into the ground floor of a multi-story building on the corner of Mira Avenue and Protopopovsky lane. Designed by A.Arkin, its façade features sculptures and an original clock over the two archways. Inside, opposite the escalator hall is a large smalt artwork Mothers of the World by A.Kuznetsov. In 1958, the wall at the end of the station was dismantled to make way for a transfer to the new station Botanichesky Sad on the Rizhskaya line. In 1966 both stations were renamed after to avoid confusion with the larger Moscow Botanical Garden of Academy of Sciences, which would eventually see the station Botanichesky Sad be named after that in 1978. In May 2015, the vestibule of the station was closed for one year, due to major refurbishments works, reopened on 16 May 2016.

The Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation is, since 2008, the Russian federal ministry responsible for energy policy. This ministry was created in May 2008 as part of a reorganization by the incoming government of President Dmitry Medvedev. It is headquartered in Moscow. The former Ministry of Industry and Energy was turned into the Ministry of Industry, whose present Minister is Viktor Khristenko, gaining responsibility for trade policy from the former Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, but losing responsibility for energy policy, which was split off into the new Ministry of Energy. The former Federal Agency for Energy (Rosenergo) was also merged into the new Ministry of Energy.

The State Space Corporation "Roscosmos" (Russian: Государственная корпорация по космической деятельности «Роскосмос»), commonly known simply as Roscosmos (Russian: Роскосмос), is a state corporation of the Russian Federation responsible for space flights, cosmonautics programs, and aerospace research.Originating from the Soviet space program founded in the 1950s, Roscosmos emerged following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. It initially began as the Russian Space Agency, which was established on 25 February 1992 and restructured in 1999 and 2004, as the Russian Aviation and Space Agency and the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos), respectively. In 2015, the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) was merged with the United Rocket and Space Corporation, a government corporation, to re-nationalize the Russian space industry, leading to Roscosmos in its current form.Roscosmos is headquartered in Moscow, with its main Mission Control Center in the nearby city of Korolyov, and the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center located in Star City in Moscow Oblast. Its launch facilities include Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the world's first and largest spaceport, and Vostochny Cosmodrome, which is being built in the Russian Far East in Amur Oblast. Its director since May 2018 is Dmitry Rogozin.As the main successor to the Soviet space program, Roscosmos' legacy includes the world's first satellite, first human spaceflight, and first space station (Salyut). Its current activities include the International Space Station, wherein it is a major partner. On 22 February 2019, Roscosmos announced the construction of its new headquarters in Moscow, the National Space Centre. Its Astronaut Corps is the first in the world's history.

The Zambian ambassador in Moscow is the official representative of the Government in Lusaka to the Government of Russia. Resident in Moscow, he has concurrent accreditation as ambassador of Zambia to Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia (country), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී ලංකා තානාපති කාර්යාලය, මොස්කව් Shri Lanka Thanapathi Karyalaya, Moskaw) is the diplomatic mission of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation. The embassy is also accredited to Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The current Ambassador serving in the country - Professor Janitha Abewickrema Liyanage.

Moscow Cathedral Mosque (Russian: Московская соборная мечеть, Moskovskaya sobornaya mechet) is the main mosque of Moscow, Russia. It is located on Olimpiysky Avenue, close to the Olympic Stadium in the centre of the city.

Olympic Stadium (Russian: Олимпийский стадион) (known locally as Olimpiyskiy) was an indoor arena, located in Moscow, Russia. It was built for the 1980 Summer Olympics and, divided into two separated halls, hosted the basketball and boxing events. It closed in March 2019 and was demolished in 2020.

The Swimming Pool at the Olimpiysky Sports Complex was a covered swimming centre in Moscow, Russia. The venue, built for the 1980 Summer Olympics, makes up the Olimpiysky Sports Complex architectural ensemble together with the Olimpiysky Arena. During the Olympics, it hosted the swimming, diving, water polo, and the swimming part of the modern pentathlon events. It also hosted 2002 Short Course World Championships. The venue consists of a 50x25x2,25m swimming pool (with capacity for 7,500 spectators), separated by an acoustic partition from the 35x25x6 m diving pool (with capacity for 4,500 spectators).

The Kremlin Cup (Russian: Кубок Кремля) is a professional tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts, which was suspended in 2022. It was part of the ATP Tour 250 series of the ATP Tour and was a Premier Tournament on the WTA Tour. It was held annually at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia from 1990 to 2018. In 2019, the Olympic Stadium underwent a reconstruction lasting two years. The 2019 edition of the tournament was held at the Ice Palace Krylatskoye. In 2021, the Kremlin Cup was played at the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Palace and the Luzhniki Palace of Sports.Until 2007, it was held on a carpet surface. It was then held on RuKortHard surface until 2015. Since 2016 the tournament has been held on TPSurface.In light of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) suspended the 2022 Kremlin Cup.

Meshchansky District (Russian: Мещанский район) is a district of Central Administrative Okrug of the federal city of Moscow, Russia. Population: 58,002 (2010 Census); 56,077 (2002 Census).The district extends due north from Kitai-gorod to Kamer-Kollezhsky Val. Western boundary with Tverskoy District follows the track of Neglinnaya River (Neglinnaya Street, Tsvetnoy Boulevard, Samotechnaya Street, Soviet Army Street). Eastern boundary with Krasnoselsky District follows Bolshaya Lubyanka Street and Sretenka Street, then one block east from Mira Avenue. The Lubyanka Building lies in the Meshchansky District. The district contains part of Kuznetsky Most Street, Rozhdestvensky monastery and Rozhdestvensky Boulevard, Olympic Stadium and a row of neoclassical, palace-like buildings north from the Garden Ring. It houses headquarters of Federal Security Service in Lubyanka Square, Central Bank of the Russian Federation, FAPSI and other government agencies.

The Professional Association of Designers of Data Processing Systems (Russian: АВТОНОМНАЯ НЕКОММЕРЧЕСКАЯ ОРГАНИЗАЦИЯ «ПРОФЕССИОНАЛЬНОЕ ОБЪЕДИНЕНИЕ КОНСТРУКТОРОВ СИСТЕМ ИНФОРМАТИКИ), abbreviated PO KSI, (Russian: АНО «ПО КСИ»), is a Russian company. Founded as a venture engineering firm in 1990, it performs research and development, producing high tech devices for government and corporate clients. PO KSI creates microelectronics, digital microcircuitry, electronic optical sensors and scanners, specialty computer systems, digital cartography, photogrammetry, and geographic information systems. The company has completed 26 development projects and four research projects. It has developed and produced over 30 serial devices and systems.PO KSI registered as a company on 10 April 2000 and employs over 200 people. Most of the firm's employees are graduates of Moscow's National Research University of Electronic Technology.The Russian Ministry of Defense is the company's primary client, with contracts for 54 million rubles in 2013 and 93 million rubles in 2015. The company has also fulfilled contracts for Russian aerospace company Tupolev for 531 million rubles and the State Scientific Research Testing Institute of Military Medicine for 120.14 mln. Their central office is located at Lazurnaya 3, Andreevka village, District of Solnechnogorsk, Moscow region, 141551.In December 2016, PO KSI was sanctioned by the United States for aiding the cyber operations of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) by providing the agency specialized training.

Sukharevskaya (Russian: Сухаревская) is a station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line of the Moscow Metro. It opened on 5 January 1972. The station's underground vestibule is located under Sretenka Street just south of the Garden Ring. From its opening until November 1990, the station was called Kolkhoznaya, as a nod to the collective farming of the Soviet Union and the similarly named square. As Soviet names lost favor, the square was renamed into the Large and Small Sukharev Squares, both of which are named for the Sukharev Tower, which stood nearby until 1934. The station was renamed Sukharevskaya, accordingly.
