Hofterup is a locality situated in Kävlinge Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 3,501 inhabitants in 2010.The etymology of the name suggests it may originally have meant "the settlement of Horte", Horte being and old Scandinavian male name.Among historical landmarks can be noted Hofterupsdösen, a stone chamber tomb from the Neolithic (stone age), and the well-preserved medieval Hofterup Church. Järavallen Nature Reserve, one of Skåne's largest public recreation areas, is in Hofterup. In Hofterup lies also Barsebäck Golf & Country Club - regarded as one of the top golf courses in Europe. The 2003 Solheim Cup was hosted here, as well as several Scandinavian Masters tournaments.

The 2003 Solheim Cup was the eighth Solheim Cup, held 12–14 September 2003 at Barsebäck Golf & Country Club in Loddekopinge, Skåne, Sweden. This was the first time the European team hosted outside of the United Kingdom. When Rosie Jones of the U.S. conceded a birdie putt to Catriona Matthew giving her a 3&1 win, Europe reached the 141⁄2 points required to win the Solheim Cup for the third time. With the overall competition's outcome decided, amid some controversy, four of the five remaining matches were conceded for a final score of 171⁄2 to 101⁄2.

It starts at the lake Vombsjön and ends in the Öresund strait. The river is only 50 km long but played an important role in the Battle of Lund in 1676.

Löddeköpinge is the second-largest locality in Kävlinge Municipality, Scania County, Sweden, with 6,290 inhabitants as of 2010.Löddeköpinge is about 10 km southwest of the municipal seat Kävlinge and about 5 km from Barsebäck nuclear power plant. The locality lies in the former parish of Löddeköpinge, which was an annex (subordinate) parish to that of Borgeby, located in the härad of Harjager and in the deanery of Torna and Diocese of Lund. In 1911 it covered 1884 hectares and had 1131 inhabitants. As a division of the Church of Sweden, Löddeköpinge parish became Borgeby's mother parish in 1937 and was transferred to the deanery of Harjager in 1939. Since 1962, it has been merged with Borgeby, Barsebäck, Hofterup and Hög as a single parish in the deanery of Rönneberga.

Lundåkra Bay (Swedish: Lundåkrabukten) is a bight located at the eastern part of central Øresund, the sound between Danish Zealand and Swedish Scania. The bight is usually defined as the sea area between the Barsebäck peninsula in the South and Landskrona harbour and the artificial island known as Gråen in the North. Its area covers around 50 square kilometres (19 sq mi), and some 40% isn't deeper than 3 metres (9.8 ft). There is no part deeper than 20 metres (66 ft) and the coastlines are very flat. Most of the seafloor is covered with sand.There is not even a minor fishing port along its shores, and the bight isn't particularly popular for summertime bathing either. The nearby Barsebäck Golf & Country Club, which at many occasions has hosted Scandinavian Masters and once Solheim Cup (in 2003) Golf competitions, has three seaside link holes at the shores of Lundåkrabukten. The Barsebäck Nuclear Power Plant, that produced electricity between 1975 and 2006, has been the major landmark in the bight's southern end. As it was located just some 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from central Copenhagen and as Denmark never build any nuclear power plants of their own, the power plant became a Danish-Swedish battle issue for several decades.

Bjärred (Swedish: [ˈbjæ̌rːɛd], outdatedly [ˈbjěːrɛd]) is a coastal locality situated in Lomma Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden. It is situated about 20 km north of Malmö, 10 km west of Lund and 5 km north of Lomma village. With 9,874 inhabitants in 2016, it is the second largest locality in Lomma Municipality and accounts for around 41% of its inhabitants. Bjärred largely serves as a suburb of Malmö and Lund. Among the sights in the town is the open-air swimming-baths, situated 500 meters out on the jetty Långa bryggan.
