Saint Joseph Regional High School (known as SJR, St. Joe's or Joe's) is a private, Roman Catholic, college preparatory school for boys, located on a 33-acre (130,000 m2) campus in Montvale, in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The school operates under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. St. Joseph Regional High School was founded in 1962 by the Brothers of Saint Francis Xavier. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1968.As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 505 students and 32.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.5:1. Green Meadow Waldorf School (GMWS) is an independent Waldorf school located in Chestnut Ridge, Rockland County, New York. It offers parent and child classes, and nursery/kindergarten through 12th grades. The school is accredited by both the New York State Association of Independent Schools and the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America. Founded in 1950, it is one of the oldest of the approximately 190 independent North American Waldorf schools (there are about 1,000 such schools worldwide).

Chestnut Ridge is a village in the town of Ramapo, Rockland County, New York, United States, located north of the state of New Jersey, east of Airmont, south of Spring Valley, and west of Nanuet. The population was 10,505 at the 2020 census.Chestnut Ridge was incorporated in 1986. Prior to 1986, Chestnut Ridge was an unincorporated area within the town of Ramapo often referred to as "South Spring Valley" (its fire district), as many postal addresses carried the Spring Valley designation.

Tice Farms was a farm and roadside stand located in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. Founded in 1808, it was a local landmark which attracted families from miles around, especially in the fall, when it was noted for pumpkins, apple cider, fresh hot donuts and other fall products. With its across-the-street rival, Van Ripers Farm, intense traffic problems developed on fall weekends. It was the original home of The Greenhouse of Fear, a NJ haunted attraction which ran during Halloween season at that location in the mid-1990s. Beginning in the 1970s, the farm was increasingly squeezed by local land development, and Richard Tice, the head of the family, repeatedly sold land to accommodate construction.The site of the farm buildings, on Chestnut Ridge Road, is now occupied by the Tice's Corner mall.

Sunbridge Institute (formerly Sunbridge College) is a not--for-profit adult learning center located in Chestnut Ridge, New York. The institute specializes in teacher training for Waldorf education, inspired by anthroposophy. Sunbridge is a full member of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North American (AWSNA) and the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN) and is a partner of SUNY Empire State College.
