Cork University Hospital

Wilton Shopping Centre, located in the Wilton area of Cork, is the second biggest shopping centre in the city. It opened on 6 December 1979, and has 65 shops. In 2003, construction began to add 10 new units, and outlets in the centre now include Tesco, Penneys, New Look, Life Style Sports, and Easons.Permission to build a library on the shopping centre grounds was granted in 2004, and Bishopstown Library was opened in 2006. Other facilities adjacent to Wilton Shopping Centre include St Joseph's (S.M.A. Wilton) Catholic Church, Ulster Bank and Bank of Ireland branches, and the Wilton Bar and Restaurant.

Glasheen (Irish: An Glaisín) is a suburb in south central Cork city in Ireland. The area earned its name from the stream that flows through it, under the Glasheen Road. Glasheen means small stream in Irish. The local schools include Glasheen B.N.S and Glasheen G.N.S.

Bishopstown Hurling and Football Club is a Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Bishopstown area of Cork city, Republic of Ireland. The club was founded in 1957.

St. Finbarr's Cemetery (Irish: Reilig Naomh Fionn Barra) in Cork, Ireland, is the city's largest and one of the oldest cemeteries in Ireland which is still in use. Located on the Glasheen Road, it was first opened in the 1860s. The entrance gateway was erected circa 1865, and the mortuary chapel consecrated in 1867.Many of the early burials were of the wealthy citizens of the city. Unlike older cemeteries, St. Finbarr's was professionally laid out with numbered pathways and wide avenues.

Two Working Men (Irish: Beirt Fhear Oibre) are a pair of statues made by the Irish sculptor Oisín Kelly. The piece took Kelly three years to create and was unveiled in front of the County Hall in Cork in 1969. As with other works of public art in the region, the statues took on a local colloquial name, and are still commonly known as "Cha and Miah".

The R608 road is a regional road in Ireland, located in County Cork and Cork City. It passed through the N22 3 times and goes from Cork City Centre to the large town of Ballincollig via Wilton and Bishopstown.

St Finbarr's National Hurling & Football Club or St Finbarr's Hurling and Football Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Togher area of Cork city, County Cork, Ireland. St Finbarr's, who play in royal blue and gold jerseys, are the only club in Ireland to win All-Ireland club championships in both hurling and football. The club has won Cork County Senior Championships in every decade except the first decade of the 21st century. This record was almost upheld in 2009 when the club reached the final in the Cork County Senior Football Championship, only to lose out by a point to Clonakilty. Between 1980 and 1982, the club won three Cork County Hurling Championships in a row. This feat had not been repeated until Imokilly did so between 2017 and 2019.

Bishopstown Community School is a secondary school in the Bishopstown area of Cork city in Ireland. Established in 1979, it is the only co-educational secondary school in the area.Past pupils of the school include members of the band The Frank and Walters.In 2015 Bishopstown Community School was awarded the amber flag for the work of its students and staff in promoting positive mental health. In addition to this the school has produced a number of publications in this area.
