Eagle Rock Reservation is a 408.33-acre (165.25 ha) forest reserve and recreational park in the First Watchung Mountain of New Jersey (U.S.), located in the communities of West Orange, Montclair, and Verona. The land is owned and administered by the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs. The reservation is named after the Eagle Rock, a bare rock looking down from the mountain, which marks the boundary between the towns of Montclair and West Orange, New Jersey. The Lenape Trail passes through the reservation. There are many streams that flow throughout the reservation. The forests are home to abundant wildlife, including deer and occasionally bears. Also located on the grounds of the reservation is a restaurant and special event location called Highlawn Pavilion. The building was once a casino, in the old sense of the word meaning country house, which had various functions through the years, including as a place for refreshments.

Haskell's Bloomfield Villa, also known as the Humphreys House, is located in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1859 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 1, 1988.

The Crane House and Historic YWCA is a federal-style home located at 110 Orange Road in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey. The house has had a rich history and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 14, 1973, for its significance in architecture, conservation, and industry.

The Montclair History Center (formerly known as the Montclair Historical Society), located in Montclair, New Jersey consists of a campus at 108–110 Orange Road, Montclair, New Jersey 07042 with three historic buildings. The first building is the Crane House and Historic YWCA, a Federal Revival style home dating from 1796. The Montclair History Center, originally named the Montclair Historical Society when it was founded in 1965, was renamed in 2014 to reflect its mission which is to fully preserve, educate and share the diverse history of the Israel Crane House and Historic YWCA, as well as the Montclair community. The Israel Crane House, which was built in 1796, was moved to its present site from its original location near Lackawanna Plaza in downtown Montclair in 1965. This site also includes the Nathaniel Crane built by a relative of Israel Crane in 1818 and the Clark House, a Queen Anne style home built in 1894, which contains the administrative offices of the Montclair History Center.

The Hilltop Reservation is a nature preserve located in Essex County, New Jersey, in the host communities of Caldwell, Cedar Grove, North Caldwell and Verona. It has over 200 acres (0.81 km2), and is the most recent addition to the Essex County Park System. It is composed of lands formerly occupied by the Essex Mountain Sanatorium, a hospital center originally constructed in the early 1900s to treat tuberculosis patients. Hilltop Reservation is located on the Second Watchung Mountain, one of three Watchung Mountains which are long, low ridges of volcanic origin in northern New Jersey.

Eastward, also known as the ALLCORN House, is located in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1902 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 1, 1988. It was designed by architect A.F. Norris. The house was featured in Scientific American building edition.

The Howard Van Vleck Arboretum is a 3.5-acre (1.4 ha) arboretum located on the grounds of the Montclair Art Museum, 3 South Mountain Avenue, Montclair, in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The arboretum is open daily without charge. The arboretum first began in 1940 as museum landscaping by horticulturist Howard Van Vleck, and has been named in his honor. It was redesigned and partially replanted circa 2001 during the museum's expansion.
