Đông Anh is a township (thị trấn) and capital of Đông Anh District, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Đông Anh is a rural district (huyện) of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Nguyễn Phú Trọng, current General Secretary of Vietnam since 2011, was born there on 14 April 1944. As of 2003, the district had a population of 277,795.

Cổ Loa Citadel (Vietnamese: Thành Cổ Loa) is an important fortified settlement and archaeological site in present-day Hanoi's Đông Anh district, roughly 17 kilometers north of present-day Hanoi, in the upper plain north of the Red River. Various relics of the Bronze Age Phùng Nguyên culture and Đông Sơn culture have been found in Cổ Loa, although it was later established as the capital of Âu Lạc Kingdom during the 3rd century BCE (about 257 BCE). It might be the first political center of the Vietnamese civilization. The settlement’s concentric walls resemble a snail’s shell; it had an outer embankment covering 600 hectares.

Phuong Trach Tower is a proposed 600-meter skyscraper in Hanoi, Vietnam. Upon completion, it is expected to become the tallest building in the country. The tower will rise 108 stories and serve as the centerpiece of a $4.2 billion smart city development in the Dong Anh District. The project is a joint venture between Vietnam's BRG Group and Japan's Sumitomo Corporation.

The Nhật Tân Bridge (or Vietnam–Japan Friendship Bridge) is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Red River in Hanoi, inaugurated on 4 January 2015. It forms part of a new six-lane highway linking Hanoi and Noi Bai International Airport. The project is funded by a Japan International Cooperation Agency ODA loan. Nhat Tan Bridge has a total length of 8.3 kilometres (5.2 mi), including a 3.7 kilometres (2.3 mi) bridge, with 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) cable-stayed bridge with five spans crossing the Red River. The bridge is 33.2 metres (109 ft) wide, divided into four lanes for motorized vehicles, two lanes for buses, two lanes for mixed vehicles and pedestrian paths. Each span has 11 pairs of cables. Nhat Tan Bridge was designed and built to become a new icon of the capital, its five towers symbolizing the five ancient gates of Hanoi. In the summer of 2017, Hanoi partnered with the Dutch company Philips to illuminate the bridge at night. The system is claimed to be able to create 16.7 million colors.

Nội Bài International Airport (IATA: HAN, ICAO: VVNB) (Vietnamese: Sân bay quốc tế Nội Bài) in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is the country’s second largest and busiest international airport for passenger traffic, after Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. It is currently the main airport serving Hanoi, replacing the role of Gia Lam Airport. The airport consists of two passenger terminals. Terminal 1 serves domestic flights, and Terminal 2 (inaugurated on 4 January 2015) serves all international flights to and from Hanoi. The airport is currently the main hub of the flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, travel carrier Vietravel Airlines, and an operating base of budget carriers Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines and VietJet Air. The airport is located in Phú Minh Commune in Sóc Sơn District, about 35 kilometres (21 miles) northeast of downtown Hanoi, via the new Nhật Tân Bridge (also inaugurated on 4 January 2015). It can also be reached by National Road 3, which connects it with the eastern suburbs of Hanoi. The airport is also close to some satellite cities of Hanoi such as Vĩnh Yên, Bắc Ninh and Thái Nguyên. The airport served a total of 13 million passengers in 2013, despite having a capacity of only 9 million at the time. The new international terminal, which had its first commercial flight on 25 December 2014 and went into full operation on 31 December 2014, has boosted the airport's total capacity to 20 million passengers per year. In 2018, the airport served 28 million passengers. The airport's IATA code, HAN, is derived from the city's current name of Hanoi. Of the routes the airport offers, the Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City route is the busiest in Southeast Asia and the sixth busiest in the world, serving 6,867,114 customers in 2018.

The Thăng Long Bridge (Cầu Thăng Long, completed 1978) is a bridge in Hanoi, Vietnam, which connects the city with Noi Bai Airport.

The United Nations International School of Hanoi is an international school in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1988 with the support of the United Nations Development Programme in Vietnam (UNDP) with the aim of providing an education to the children of UN staff and others. It is one of two UN schools in the world, with its sister school, United Nations International School, located in New York City. The school primarily caters to the children of diplomats, aid workers, businessmen, and other expatriates living and working in Hanoi. UNIS is regarded as of the most prestigious international schools in Asia. Classes range from pre-school to high school, and the IB Diploma is available to students in grade 11 and 12. As of May 2018, there were 1123 students with 66 nationalities speaking 44 different languages. The school maintains a 20% cap for any one nationality, which was put in place in order to maintain an international and culturally diverse atmosphere. There are teachers from 27 countries with 88% from the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Canada. Bobby Chinn is a restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam, situated near the perimeter of the Old Quarter, overlooking Hoàn Kiếm Lake. It is run by American chef Bobby Chinn. It serves a mixture of Californian, French, and Vietnamese cuisine, as well as a variety of international tapas-style dishes.

Tây Hồ (West Lake) is an urban district (quận) located on the north side of central Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The district wraps around the West Lake (hồ Tây), one of the largest natural lakes of Vietnam. The district currently has 8 wards, covering a total area of 24.39 square kilometers. As of 2019, there were 160,495 people residing in the district, the population density is 6,600 inhabitants per square kilometer. Tây Hồ is a high-end residential area, housing a large population of expatriates and many Western restaurants and boutiques.

The Lycée français Alexandre Yersin (LFAY) is a French international school in Long Bien District, Hanoi, Vietnam. The school is under the purview of the Agency for French Education Abroad (Agence pour l'enseignement français à l'étranger (AEFE)), which manages all French state schools outside France.
