Creedmoor Psychiatric Center is a psychiatric hospital at 79-26 Winchester Boulevard in Queens Village, Queens, New York, United States. It provides inpatient, outpatient and residential services for severely mentally ill patients. The hospital occupies more than 300 acres (1.2 km2) and includes more than 50 buildings.The site was named after the Creed family, which farmed on the site. It later was used as a firing range from the 1870s until 1892. The Farm Colony of Brooklyn State Hospital was opened on the site in 1912, with 32 patients. By 1959, the hospital housed 7,000 inpatients. The hospital's census declined by the early 1960s, and unused portions were sold off and developed into the Queens County Farm Museum, a school campus, and a children's psychiatric center.

The Living Museum in Queens, New York City, United States, is an art studio dedicated to presenting the art produced by patients at the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, the largest state psychiatric care institution in New York City. It is the first museum of its kind in the United States. Jessica Yu's 1998 documentary The Living Museum profiles the museum and some of its artists.

The Queens High School of Teaching, Liberal Arts and the Sciences (QHST) (26Q566) is a public high school in Glen Oaks, New York, United States. It is located on the Frank A. Padavan Campus, a sprawling 32-acre (130,000 m2) landscaped campus, which contains QHST and two other neighboring kindergarten-8th grade schools: P.S./I.S. 266 and P.S./I.S. 208. It is one of the only schools in New York City that has a campus. The campus—originally named the Glen Oaks Campus—was renamed in 2008 in honor of a state senator who at the time was running for re-election.The school opened in the fall of 2003. It currently serves grades 9-12.

Frank P. LoCicero Triangle is a 250-square-foot (23 m2) triangular public green space located in the Bellerose neighborhood of Queens, New York. It is named in honor of local resident Frank P. LoCicero (1918-1997) who lived in the area from 1950 until his death. In the years between, LoCicero was an active member and later president of the Bellerose Hillside Civic Association, which fought to maintain the suburban character of the neighborhood. Born in Manhattan, LoCicero studied art at Haaren High School in Manhattan and at age 17, was the youngest person at the time to have a sculpture exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Following graduation from college, he was hired by Norcross Greeting Cards as its graphic designer. During World War II, LoCicero enlisted in the U.S. Army, spending five years in Hawaii drawing aerial maps for the Army before resuming work at Norcross. LoCicero Triangle is bounded by Hillside Avenue, Cross Island Parkway, and 84th Road. The triangle's shape is the result of the construction of Cross Island Parkway in 1939, which cut through the street grid, leaving in places triangular plots that were too small for development. In 2002, the City Council passed legislation to name the triangle for LoCicero. The park contains trees, shrubs, and a memorial plaque for LoCicero.

Bellerose is a middle class neighborhood on the eastern edge of the New York City borough of Queens, along the border of Queens and Nassau County, Long Island. It is adjacent to Bellerose Village and Bellerose Terrace in Nassau County, from which it is separated by Jericho Turnpike. The northern edge of Bellerose is separated from another part of the Nassau border by the neighborhood of Floral Park, Queens to the east, divided by Little Neck Parkway. The neighborhood consists predominantly of detached houses with mostly Indian American, European American, and working and middle class populations. While the northeastern section of Queens Village is sometimes referred to as part of Bellerose, it is also called Bellerose Manor, which is recognized by the U.S. Postal Service as an "acceptable alternate" to Queens Village and Jamaica in postal addresses.Bellerose is located in Queens Community District 13 and its ZIP Code is 11426. It is patrolled by the New York City Police Department's 105th Precinct.

Douglaston Park is a public park located in the Douglaston section of Queens, New York City. It contains a golf course named Douglaston Park Golf Course. According to The New York Times it is also the name of the surrounding residential area, one of five other distinct subsections of Douglaston. More specifically, the Douglaston Park neighborhood is the area located between Northern Boulevard and Interstate 495 (I-495, also known as the Long Island Expressway/LIE).

The Queens County Farm Museum, also known as Queens Farm, is a historic farm located on 47 acres (190,000 m2) of the neighborhoods of Floral Park and Glen Oaks in Queens, New York City. The farm occupies the city's largest remaining tract of undisturbed farmland (in operation since 1697), and is still a working farm today. The site features restored farm buildings from three different centuries, a greenhouse, planting fields, livestock, and various examples of vintage farm equipment. Queens Farm practices sustainable agriculture and has a four-season growing program. The museum includes the Adriance Farmhouse, a New York City Landmark on the National Register of Historic Places. Free guided tours of the farmhouse are offered to the public Saturdays and Sundays year-round. Hayrides are offered on weekends from April through October. An on-site seasonal farmstand featuring Queens Farm vegetables, herbs, and flowers takes place every Wednesday through Sunday from May through October.

Little Neck Parkway (formerly Little Neck Road) is the easternmost major north/south route in northern Queens, New York City. North of Northern Boulevard (NY 25A), the parkway is a local residential street. South of there, it is a two- to four-lane road, which becomes divided south of Grand Central Parkway. South of Hillside Avenue, it widens to six lanes. Its southern terminus is at Jericho Turnpike (NY 25) at the Queens-Nassau border. Little Neck Parkway has one of the few at-grade railroad crossings of the Long Island Rail Road in New York City, and the only at-grade crossing of the Port Washington Branch of the LIRR. The Q36 bus serves Little Neck Parkway from Jamaica Avenue to the Little Neck Long Island Rail Road station on weekdays. Express routes include the QM3 bus between the Long Island Expressway and Northern Boulevard, and QM5, QM8 and QM35 buses between 260th Street and the Long Island Expressway.

Bellerose Terrace is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 2,329 at the 2020 census.

Elmont, also referred to as Elmont–UBS Arena, is a Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) station in Elmont, New York, just east of the New York City borough of Queens. It serves the LIRR Main Line and is being developed as part of the redevelopment of Belmont Park, which includes the new UBS Arena for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. The station opened for eastbound service in November 2021 and westbound service in October 2022.
