Little House is a historic home located at Palisades in Rockland County, New York. It was built in 1824 is a 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay, side-passage frame residence in the Federal style. Big House is a historic home located at Palisades in Rockland County, New York. The Big House is the oldest dwelling in Palisades and the only building remaining from the hamlet's formative years. It was built about 1735 and is a large stone dwelling in a vernacular ethnic "Dutch" style. It consists of a rectangular central block flanked on either side by wings. In the nomination for the National Register of Historic Places it is further described as embodying the distinctive characteristics of the eighteenth-century regional Dutch vernacular building tradition, specifically its one-and-one-half story, gable-roofed form, linear plan, multiple entrances, and masonry construction. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Palisades, formerly known as Sneden's Landing (pronounced SNEE-dens), is a hamlet in the Town of Orangetown in Rockland County, New York, United States, located north of Rockleigh and Alpine, New Jersey; east of Tappan; south of Sparkill; and west of the Hudson River. The hamlet has no mayor, nor any official legislative bodies. It does, however, have its own library, and post office with the zip code 10964 and is served by the 359 exchange in Area Code 845. It is almost entirely residential with the exception of a small industrial area section on the Tappan border. The area commonly referred to as Snedens Landing is located within the eastern portion of Palisades between U.S. Route 9W and the Hudson River. The hamlet has a registered historic district known as the Closter Road – Oak Tree Road Historic District. The district comprises the area from the north side of Closter Road and south side of Oak Tree Road approximately half a mile west of US Route 9W in Palisades. Neiderhurst is a historic estate located at Palisades in Rockland County, New York. The main estate house was built as a summer home between 1872 and 1874 in the High Victorian Gothic style. It is a two-story, "L" shaped residence surmounted by steep gable roofs. It was built by Winthrop S. Gilman, Jr. (1839–1923), son of Winthrop Sargent Gilman (1808–1884). Also on the property are a small observatory converted to a cote; Fern Lodge, built 1866, a residential outbuilding that was formerly the stables; a barn converted to residential use; a concrete pergola; and stone shed. The estate grounds retain a park-like quality.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Seven Oaks Estate, the former Charles F. Park estate, is a historic estate located at Palisades in Rockland County, New York designed by George E. Woodward, an editor of the Horticulturist magazine. The main estate house is a large clapboarded structure built in 1862 in the Gothic Revival style, with cues from Calvert Vaux's Villas and Cottages (1857). The house features a projecting central bay and full-width verandah. Also on the property are a coachman's house, built about 1862, and four subsidiary outbuildings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Cliffside, also known as H. E. Lawrence Estate, is a historic home located at Palisades, Rockland County, New York. It was designed by J. Cleveland Cady and was built in 1876. The estate house is a two-story, "L"-shaped, Flemish Colonial Revival style stone dwelling. It features a steep cross-gambrel roof and a one-story wraparound verandah. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Hopson-Swan Estate is a national historic district and estate located at Sparkill in Rockland County, New York. It encompasses three contributing buildings and one contributing structure. The district is located within the boundaries of Tallman Mountain State Park and was acquired by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission in 1947. The estate was developed between about 1850 and 1920. The house is a 1+1⁄2-story frame house on a stone foundation. It was constructed in three phases: about 1850, expanded and restyled in 1869, and also about 1920. Also on the property is a cast iron gazebo and two small carriage houses.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
