Haverstraw Bay

The McAndrews Estate (also known as Reusens Farm or Long View) is part of Oscawana Park, located in the Crugers area of the Town of Cortlandt in northern Westchester County, New York. Once a large working farm and estate, it is now unincorporated park land and contains a number of ruins.

Haverstraw Beach State Park is a 73-acre (0.30 km2) state park located in the Haverstraw, New York. The park is included within the Palisades Interstate Park system and is functionally part of a continuous complex of parks that also includes Rockland Lake State Park, Hook Mountain State Park, and Nyack Beach State Park.

The Haverstraw King's Daughters Public Library's original home, also known as the Fowler Library Building, is located at Main and Allison streets in the village of Haverstraw, New York, United States. It is a red brick building. The library itself, established near the end of the 19th century, is the oldest chartered public library in Rockland County. Shortly after its creation, it moved into the building, combining two contemporary revival architectural styles, after money was raised by the local chapter of the King's Daughters, a women's civic organization. A similar wing was built in 1983, and in 1991 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At the end of the 20th century the library moved into a new main building. The old building's interior was restored in the mid-2000s and continues to serve as a branch.

The U.S. Post Office in Haverstraw, New York, is located on Main Street in the center of the village. It serves the ZIP Code 10927, which covers the village. It was built in the mid-1930s as a New Deal project. Like many other post offices from that era, it is a brick building in the Colonial Revival architectural style. It features a high level of ornamentation, possibly due to the influence of James Farley, a native of the Haverstraw area who was Postmaster General at that time. In 1988 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Crugers is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located in the town of Cortlandt, Westchester County, New York, United States. The population was 1,534 at the 2010 census.

Crugers station was a commuter rail stop on the Metro-North Railroad's Hudson Line, located in the hamlet of Crugers, New York. It was closed in 1996 when it and the next station northbound, Montrose, was replaced by the Cortlandt station between them.

John Jacob “Rifle Jack” Peterson was a Revolutionary war era patriot of African and Kitchewan descent whose quick thinking helped repel British forces in Croton, New York. His actions threw Benedict Arnold’s treasonous plans into disarray and led to the capture of Major Andre. This heroism inspired the erection of a memorial plaque at Teller's Point, now Croton Point, in Croton New York. The plaque also commemorates the actions of George (aka Moses) Sherwood but the marker has been more popularly known as the Jack Peterson Memorial.

The Homestead is a historic house on Hudson Avenue in the village of Haverstraw, New York, United States. It is one of the oldest buildings in the village, dating to the early 19th century. Since then it has been home to a number of prominent local residents, and passed down through two different families. It has been altered slightly, with the original front now the house's rear, but it remains mostly intact. In 1983 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Croton North station is a disused train station on Senasqua Road in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, United States. It was built by the New York Central Railroad in the late 19th century. In 1987 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Croton North Railroad Station. It had long been out of active service, and was converted to office use three years before the listing. Despite the conversion it remains largely intact, and is considered an excellent example of a commuter railroad station from this era, when stations began to reflect the industrial role of the railroads. Included in the listing are two 1930s Pullman electric passenger coaches parked on a disconnected spur north of the station.

The Franklin Community was the first American Owenite community established in New York state. Founded in 1826 two miles from the Hudson River near the town of Haverstraw in Rockland County, the enterprise stumbled in its first year of existence and was terminated later that same year.
