St. Georges Presbyterian Church

North Saint Georges Historic District is a national historic district located at St. Georges, New Castle County, Delaware. It encompasses 69 contributing buildings and 3 contributing objects in the village of North St. Georges. The buildings date between about 1719 and 1942 and are primarily residential with a few institutional and commercial buildings. Notable buildings include the Methodist Church, the St. Georges Historical Society Building, Commodore MacDonough School (1923), Gam's Store (c. 1855), the former African-American school (now the post office, c. 1925), Odd Fellows Lodge (1875), and the Nuttall House. Located in the district are the separately listed St. Georges Presbyterian Church and Sutton House.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Saint Georges is an unincorporated town and former municipality situated on the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal in New Castle County, Delaware, United States, approximately midway between the Delaware River and Chesapeake Bay.

Sutton House is a historic home located at St. Georges, New Castle County, Delaware. The original section was built about 1794, with the main section completed about 1815. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, three bay brick dwelling with a lower rear wing and featuring a gable roof. The front façade features a semicircular fanlight over the main entrance and there is a two-story porch on the rear wing.The house was built for Dr. James M. Sutton, whose family continued to live there for generations. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It is located in the North Saint Georges Historic District.

The St. Georges Bridge is a steel tied arch bridge that carries U.S. Route 13 (US 13) across the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal in St. Georges, Delaware. Built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and opened in 1942 as a high-level crossing, the bridge was the first four-lane, high-level crossing to span the canal. It replaced a previous vertical lift bridge which was damaged when a German merchant ship collided with it.

The Ethel S. Roy House is a historic building identified simply as Vernacular Frame House when listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 as part of the Red Lion Hundred Multiple Resource Area.The house was built c. 1868 by a former slave and was singled out for historic preservation in an effort to counteract the bias that only homes of the affluent are recognized as being historically significant. It represents a working man's home in a labor-intensive agricultural society and has had few alterations since it was built. Red Lion Hundred is an area of New Castle County, Delaware roughly equivalent in size and function to a township. It was settled in the seventeenth century, with the soil being ruined by intensive tobacco cultivation by 1800. A "peach boom" lasted from about 1830 to 1870 until a blight called "the yellows" destroyed the peach crops. Slavery provided labor in the area until the American Civil War. The Roy House was built soon after the Civil War by a former slave, whose granddaughter lived in the house until at least 1979. It is located just north of the unincorporated village of Saint Georges, Delaware, on a 150-foot square plot of land once owned by the locally prominent Sutton family. It is a wooden frame two-story, two-bay house with gabled roof which had a small enclosed front porch. Photographs taken in 1970 or 1979 show a simple building with wooden siding, a tin roof, six-over-six windows, and an interior chimney on the south end. The single decorative item appears to be a "gothic" attic window with a "pointed arch" above a rectangular window. A photograph from 2011 shows that the roof, siding and windows have been recently replaced, the porch opened up, and the chimney removed.

Bloomfield is a historic home located at St. Georges, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1828, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay frame dwelling. It has an asymmetrical floor plan, steeply pitched cross-gable roof, deep one-story verandah, and is in the Gothic Revival style.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Linden Hill is a historic home located at St. Georges, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1836, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay brick dwelling with a center hall plan. It has long kitchen wing set at a right angle to the main house. The front facade features a three bay porch with a hipped roof. The interior features Greek Revival style details. Also on the property are a contributing frame barn and shed.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Old Ford Dairy is a historic home located near Odessa, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1850, and was a 2+1⁄2-story, five-bay by two-bay frame, double cross-gable, vernacular Victorian farmhouse. It had a rear wing, three-bay front porch, and two brick gable end chimneys. Also on the property were a drive through, 2+1⁄2-story granary, a rectangular grain storage bin, and a three-story gambrel-roofed dairy barn. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Idalia Manor is a historic home located at Mt. Pleasant, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1845, and consists of a 2+1⁄2-story, five-bay, stuccoed brick main house with a two-story, two-bay stuccoed brick gable end kitchen addition. It has a gable roof covered with composition shingle and two endwall chimneys. The house is in the late Federal style. Also on the property are a contributing two-story braced frame granary and crib barn.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

St. Georges Cemetery Caretaker's House is a historic home located at St. Georges, New Castle County, Delaware, United States. It was built in 1871, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, L-shaped brick dwelling in the Gothic Revival style. It features a slate covered gable roof with decorative bargeboards at the gable ends. It was built as the Caretaker's House for St. Georges Presbyterian Church cemetery.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

McWhorter House was a historic home located near Odessa, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built before 1810, and consisted of a two-story, three-bay, frame main block with Italianate detailing with a two-story, frame kitchen wing to the rear. Also on the property were an early 20th-century frame privy, a late 19th-century board-and-batten storage shed, hewn frame carriage barn with cross-gable over the entry, a 2+1⁄2-story timber framed crib barn and granary, and an early 19th-century dairy barn.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It was demolished in 2004.

They are a frame house (c. 1845), a large frame barn, and a wooden shed. The house is a two-story, L-shaped, five bay gable-roofed dwelling.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
