The historic stone house was built around 1750–1770 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 24, 1984, for its significance in architecture and exploration/settlement. It was listed as part of the Early Stone Houses of Bergen County Multiple Property Submission (MPS). The one and one-half story house features a gable roof. William Storms owned it in 1861.

According to the nomination form, the house was built from 1790 to 1810 based on architectural evidence. P. R. Demarest lived here in 1861 and Henry A. Hopper in 1876.

The Barnert Memorial Temple is a Reform Jewish synagogue located at 747 Route 208 South, in Franklin Lakes, Bergen County, New Jersey, in the United States. The synagogue is the place of worship for the Congregation B'nai Jeshurun (transliteration from Hebrew as "Children of the Upright"), founded in Paterson in 1847. In 1987, the congregation moved to a new temple building in Franklin Lakes.The congregation is led by Rabbi Rachel Steiner. The name "Barnert Memorial Temple" originally referred to its landmark building at Broadway and Straight Street in Paterson. It was named in honor of Miriam Barnert, the wife of Nathan Barnert, a local real estate developer and Mayor of Paterson, who donated the building. In 1970, the Paterson former synagogue building was deconsecrated and converted into a warehouse.

Ramapo High School is the other high school in the district. Students from the three feeder districts may make the choice of which high school to attend by February of the year that they are in eighth grade.As of the 2022–23 school year, the school had an enrollment of 736 students and 85.7 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.6:1. The Mead–Van Duyne House is a historic stone house that was originally located at 636 Fairfield Road in the Mountain View section of the township of Wayne in Passaic County, New Jersey. The oldest section of the house dates to 1706. It is the second oldest surviving Dutch stone house in the county. It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1938. Listed as the William Klein property, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 12, 1971, for its significance in architecture, military history, and religion/philosophy. In 1974, the building was relocated to 543 Berdan Avenue, next to the Van Riper–Hopper House, as part of the Wayne Museum. It was renominated as the Van Duyne House in 1976. It was relisted on the state register on March 15, 1976. The property was withdrawn from the NRHP on December 15, 1976.
