The Touraine

The Drake Hotel, a historic 375-foot-tall, 33-story luxury hotel located at 1512–1514 Spruce Street at the corner of S. Hicks Street between S. 15th and S. 16th Streets in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was built in 1928–29 by the Murphy, Quigley Company and was designed by the architectural firm of Ritter and Shay in the Art Deco style with Spanish Baroque terra cotta ornamentation on themes surrounding Sir Francis Drake, including "dolphins, shells, sailing vessels and globes." The building is topped by a terra cotta dome.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 18, 1978. It was added to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places on October 6, 1977. In 1998, the building was extensively renovated and converted to condominiums as "The Drake".

The Cosmopolitan Club of Philadelphia is a private social club in Philadelphia. It was founded in June 1928 by a group of women from Philadelphia and its surroundings. In January 1930, the members had purchased the lot at 1616 Latimer Street, and oversaw the construction of an Art Deco building.The members of the Cosmopolitan Club of Philadelphia are all women, and they represent a wide array of ages, races, cultures, interests, skills, professions and affiliations.They work and volunteer in the community. Thirty-eight of the Club's past and present members have been named Distinguished Daughters of Pennsylvania.

The Print Center is a nonprofit gallery located in Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. Originally known as The Print Club, the gallery's mission is to "encourage the growth and understanding of photography and printmaking as vital contemporary arts through exhibitions, publications and educational programs".

Locust Street is a major historic street in Center City Philadelphia. The street is the location of several prominent Philadelphia-based buildings, historic sights, and high-rise residential locations. It is an east–west street throughout Center City Philadelphia and runs largely parallel to Chestnut Street, another major Center City Philadelphia street. Locust Street is one of several Philadelphia streets bordering Rittenhouse Square, one of the five original parks established by the city's founder, William Penn.

Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, at 1625 Locust Street in Rittenhouse Square, Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an Episcopal church in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. It is part of the Diocese of Pennsylvania.

Frederick Douglass Memorial Hospital and Training School, originally Frederick Douglass Memorial Hospital and School for Nurses, opened in 1895 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 1512 Lombard Street with had 15 beds. It was the city's first hospital for African Americans and the second hospital in the United States for African Americans. In 1897, it graduated its first two nurses. It expanded and in 1948 merged with Mercy Hospital to form Mercy-Douglass Hospital in hopes of improving both of their both of their financials conditions. Mercy-Douglas closed in 1973. Nathan F. Mossell served as chief of staff. His brother Aaron Albert Mossell was the hospital's lawyer. William Albert Sinclair was its financial secretary beginning in 1904. He wrote Aftermath of Slavery.

The Rittenhouse Club is a private institution in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1875 to allow "businessmen, intellectuals and artists to socialize in a congenial, friendly atmosphere."

The Philly Pops is an orchestra based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded by presenter and producer, Moe Septee, and conducted for 35 years by two time Grammy Award-winning pianist Peter Nero, the Philly Pops plays orchestral versions of popular jazz, swing, Broadway songs and blues. David Charles Abell took over the positions of principal conductor and music director in 2020. On October 4, 1999, the Philly Pops was designated the official pops orchestra of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.The Philly Pops will cease operations after the 2022-2023 season.

The Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art (PMSIA), also referred to as the School of Applied Art, was chartered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on February 26, 1876, as both a museum and teaching institution. This was in response to the Centennial International Exhibition held in Philadelphia that year. Classes began in Fall 1877, in a building at 312 North Broad Street, and soon moved into the old Franklin Institute (now the Philadelphia History Museum), at 15 South 7th Street.In 1893 PMSIA acquired a complex of buildings at Broad & Pine, vacated by the Pennsylvania Institution for the Deaf and Dumb when they moved to Germantown. In 1964, following a series of name changes, the two institutions split: the museum became the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the school became the Philadelphia College of Art. After further name changes the school has become the University of the Arts. University of the Arts has retained the property at 320 S. Broad Street.

University of the Arts (UArts) is a private art university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its campus makes up part of the Avenue of the Arts in Center City, Philadelphia. Dating back to the 1870s, it is one of the oldest schools of art or music in the United States. The university is composed of two colleges and two Divisions: the College of Art, Media & Design; the College of Performing Arts; the Division of Liberal Arts; and the Division of Continuing Studies. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. In addition, the School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
