Maltepe University

Sancaktepe is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 63 km2, and its population is 489,848 (2022).In 2008 the district Sancaktepe was created from parts of the districts Kartal and Ümraniye. The urban part of the new district was established as a municipality. At the 2013 Turkish local government reorganisation, the rural part of the district was integrated into the municipality, the villages becoming neighbourhoods.

Mount Auxentius (also known as Mount St. Auxentius, Mount Auxentios, or Mount Scopas), today known as Kayış Dağı in Turkish, is a mountain located in the eastern outskirts of Istanbul, Turkey, in Kayışdağı neighborhood. Its summit is 428 metres above sea level. The mountain is named after Auxentius of Bithynia. The mountain was home to Christian monks and ascetics during the Byzantine period. Byzantine Christian monks who lived on the mountain included Saint Stephen the New (c. 713–764) and Saint Macarius of Mount Auxentius (died 768).

Samandıra Army Air Base, (Turkish: Samandıra Kara Hava Üssü) (ICAO: LTBX) is a military airport of the Turkish Army located in Kartal district of Istanbul, Turkey. The air base is home to 4th Army Aviation Regiment of the Turkish First Army. The facility is situated within the Gen. İsmail Hakkı Tunaboylu Barracks just north of the Anatolian Motorway O-4. Two helicopter squadrons are stationed at the army air base, each operating ten UH-1H Iroquois and ten UH-60A Black Hawk. In addition, eight UH-1H and three Cessna T182TSkylane are available for use to the HQ of the regiment.

Sancaktepe Prof. Dr. Feriha Öz Emergency Hospital (Turkish: Sancaktepe Prof. Dr. Feriha Öz Acil Durum Hastanesi, commonly referred to as Sancaktepe Emergency Hospital), is a hospital in Sancaktepe district of Istanbul Province, Turkey for use in emergency situations like pandemics, epidemics or earthquakes. It was opened in end May 2020.

Samandıra Merkez is an underground station on the M5 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under Osmangazi Street in the Osmangazi neighbourhood of Sancaktepe. It was opened on 16 March 2024 with the M5 line extension from Çekmeköy to Samandıra Merkez, and currently serves as the eastern terminus of the line before the extension to Sultanbeyli opens in April 2025.

Yeditepe University is a private foundation university situated in Istanbul, Turkey. Hastane - Adliye is an underground station on the M4 line of the Istanbul Metro in Kartal. It is located beneath the D.100 State Highway in the Esenkent neighborhood and is the westernmost metro station in Kartal. Connection to IETT city buses and Istanbul Minibus service is available. The station consists of an island platform with two tracks and was opened on 17 August 2012. It is located next to the Anatolian Palace of Justice.

Soğanlık is an underground station on the M4 line of the Istanbul Metro in Kartal. It is located beneath the D.100 State Highway in the Soğanlık Yeni neighborhood. Connection to IETT city buses and Istanbul Minibus service is available. The station consists of an island platform with two tracks and was opened on 17 August 2012.

Sancaktepe is an underground station on the M5 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under Sevenler Street at Sancaktepe Meydan Park in the Abdurrahmangazi neighbourhood of Sancaktepe. It was opened on 16 March 2024 with the M5 line extension from Çekmeköy to Samandıra Merkez.

Sancaktepe Şehir Hastanesi is an underground station on the M5 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located under Osmangazi Street in the Sarıgazi neighbourhood of Sancaktepe. Due to difficulties in station construction, it is expected to open later than the rest of the Çekmeköy to Samandıra Merkez extension.There is an open-close scissor structure in the station, and there will be a fully mechanical automatic parking lot with a capacity of 336 vehicles on the upper floors of this truss structure. In this way, it will be possible to travel with the Park-and-Ride system.

Esenkent is an underground station on the M4 line of the Istanbul Metro in Maltepe. It is located beneath the D.100 State Highway, just west of the Cevizli interchange, in the Esenkent neighborhood and is the easternmost metro station in Maltepe. Connection to IETT city buses and Istanbul Minibus service is available. The station consists of an island platform with two tracks and was opened on 17 August 2012.

Forensic Science Institute of Turkey is located in Istanbul, Turkey. It was designed by Turkish architect Günay Erdem, and landscape architects Sunay Erdem and Serpil Öztekin Erdem.
