Immaculate Conception High School is a Roman Catholic co-educational college preparatory high school located in Montclair, in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The school operates under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1957.Immaculate Conception High School was established in 1925 as a parish school under the guidance of its founder, Rev. Edward M. Farrel. The Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth began their connection to the school with the appointment of Mother Mary Alexandrine as the school's first principal.Per its mission statement, Immaculate Conception High School "strives, within the context of family to develop the whole person: morally, intellectually, emotionally, and physically, recognizing the work and uniqueness of each individual". As of the 2013–14 school year, the school had an enrollment of 179 students and 24.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 7.3:1. The school's enrollment was 1.7% White, 78.2% Black, 17.9% Hispanic, 0.6% Asian and 1.7% two or more races.

The Montclair Public Schools are a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade from the Township of Montclair, in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The district consists of seven elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of 11 schools, had an enrollment of 6,441 students and 574.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.2:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Each school has a magnet theme, which becomes the focus of the school's teaching style. Students have "freedom of choice" as to which school they want to attend. School selection is not dictated based on location of residence within Montclair. When registering in the district, parents rank their school preferences from highest to lowest, with preferences given for siblings of existing students and special needs. School preferences are accommodated as long as space is available.

St. Luke's Episcopal Church is an Episcopal parish in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey, United States, in the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. Its historic parish church, at 73 S. Fullerton Avenue was built in 1889 and added to the National Register in 1988.

The Montclair History Center (formerly known as the Montclair Historical Society), located in Montclair, New Jersey consists of a campus at 108–110 Orange Road, Montclair, New Jersey 07042 with three historic buildings. The first building is the Crane House and Historic YWCA, a Federal Revival style home dating from 1796. The Montclair History Center, originally named the Montclair Historical Society when it was founded in 1965, was renamed in 2014 to reflect its mission which is to fully preserve, educate and share the diverse history of the Israel Crane House and Historic YWCA, as well as the Montclair community. The Israel Crane House, which was built in 1796, was moved to its present site from its original location near Lackawanna Plaza in downtown Montclair in 1965. This site also includes the Nathaniel Crane built by a relative of Israel Crane in 1818 and the Clark House, a Queen Anne style home built in 1894, which contains the administrative offices of the Montclair History Center.

The house has had a rich history and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 14, 1973, for its significance in architecture, conservation, and industry.

Sound on Sound Studios, formerly known as MSR Studios (Manhattan Sound Recordings), is a photography and movie producing company recording facility in Montclair, New Jersey. Its forebear, MSR Studios, was located in Manhattan, just outside Times Square at 168 West 48th Street, between 6th and 7th avenues. Originating from the merger of Sound on Sound and Right Track Recording, the studio was first known as Legacy Studios.

Lackawanna Terminal is a former railroad terminal in the township of Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey. Built in 1913, the station was the terminal of the Montclair Branch of the Morris and Essex Lines (part of the Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railroad). The station, boasting four platforms and six tracks, was built by William Hull Botsford, an architect who died in the sinking of the Titanic on April 15, 1912. The station opened on June 28, 1913 in a grand ceremony in Montclair. The station was used until March 2, 1981, when New Jersey Transit moved service to a single platform station at Bay Street. The station was converted to an enclosed shopping mall. Listed as the Montclair Railroad Station, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 8, 1973, for its significance in architecture and transportation. There were three main reasons that the station was considered to be qualified for the National Register. One was its architectural significance, including the overall design, the tapestry bond brickwork, the marble concrete trim, the interior brick and tile work and ornamentation, the iron work in the ticket windows. Next factor was the importance of the architect, William Hull Botsford and finally, its importance as a transportation center in the history of Montclair Township.As of 2019, the complex is threatened with demolition.
