Laurier House (French: Maison Laurier) is a National Historic Site in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (in the Sandy Hill district). It was formerly the residence of two Canadian prime ministers: Sir Wilfrid Laurier (for whom the house is named) and William Lyon Mackenzie King. The home is now a historic house museum that is open to the public for guided tours from Victoria Day in May until Thanksgiving in October. Its address is 335 Laurier Avenue East.

Goodwin House is a prominent heritage building in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Located at 312 Laurier Avenue East it was built by railway executive George Goodwin from 1899 to 1900. It is one of the largest mansions ever built in the city. It later became a convent for the Grey Nuns, and during the Second World War was used as the headquarters of the Canadian Women's Army Corps. In 1978 it was bought and restored by St. John Ambulance, which used it as its national headquarters. Recently it was sold to Amnesty International which today uses it as its Canadian headquarters.

Australia House in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is the official residence of the Australian High Commissioner to Canada. The house is located on a corner lot at 407 Wilbrod Street in the Sandy Hill neighbourhood of Ottawa, near to a number of other embassies and official residences. The house was built in 1910 by William Davis, and is believed to have been designed by John W.H. Watts. Davis died under inauspicious circumstances in 1916 and it lay vacant for several years before being purchased by Colonel Cameron Macpherson Edwards, who had earlier lived at 24 Sussex Drive. The Edwards left in 1937 and rented the house to Germany to house the Consul General Dr. Erich Windels, who was friendly with Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King, who lived nearby. Windels was expelled from Canada upon the declaration of war in September 1939. In part because of the war, the Australian delegation in Ottawa was looking for more spacious accommodations, and the newly vacant building met these needs. In 1940 it became the residence of the High Commissioner and they bought the building from the Edwards soon after. It has housed every High Commissioner since, as well as visiting Australian dignitaries, including any Australian Prime Ministers who visit Ottawa. From 1947 until 1953 the building was home to ex-Prime Minister Frank Forde during his term as Australian High Commissioner. Since December 2021, His Excellency The Right Honourable Scott Ryan is the latest High Commissioner to reside at Australia House.The chancery of the High Commission located at Suite 1301, Sun Life Financial Centre, at 50 O'Connor Street in Downtown Ottawa.

The Embassy of Brazil is Brazil's embassy in Canada. It is located at 450 Wilbrod Street in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Denis Fontes de Souza Pinto serves as Ambassador (as of February 2017). Brazil also operates consulate offices in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Embassy Row in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is generally considered the eastern part of the Sandy Hill and Lower Town neighbourhoods. These areas are sometimes home to buildings that serve as a chancery (the administrative headquarters of a foreign mission) but more often they are ambassadorial residences (where an ambassador or high commissioner lives). Sometimes the same building serves both purposes, but when they are separated the chancery tends to be located in a commercial or government district of the city, while the official residence is in a residential neighbourhood. Numerous foreign embassies and high commissions (some chanceries, some residences, some both) are found in the vicinity of Strathcona Park. Many embassies are located on Range Road, Wilbrod Street, and parts of Laurier Avenue and Charlotte Street.

The High Commission of Kenya in Ottawa is Kenya's primary diplomatic mission in Canada. It is located at 415 Laurier Avenue East in Ottawa, the Canadian capital. The High Commission also serves as the Kenyan Mission to the International Civil Aviation Organization. Kenya also has an honorary consulate in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia is located in Toller House at the corner of Chapel and Daly Streets in the Sandy Hill neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The building was originally constructed in 1875 in Domestic Gothic Revival style by Henry Horsey and J. Sheard, architects. The first occupant was J.H. Plummer, the new Ottawa manager of the Bank of Commerce. Two years later, Télesphore Fournier, a Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, moved in with his family. It was bought by Auditor General of the Dominion’s Currency Frederick Toller in 1882. His family owned it until 1912 when it was bought by cabinet minister Louis-Philippe Brodeur who owned it until 1931. The house was owned by a group of nuns who used it as a residence and school until 1968. It was then rented out to students from the nearby University of Ottawa. The heritage building was purchased for the Republic of Croatia by the Croatian-Canadian community after Croatia gained its independence in 1993. Local fundraising also paid for the significant restoration work that completely refurbished the estate. It opened as the Croatian embassy in 1999. The building was included amongst other architecturally interesting and historically significant buildings in Doors Open Ottawa, held June 2 and 3, 2012.Croatia also maintains a consular office in Mississauga.

The Bate-Fenton House (or Bate's House) is a prominent heritage example of Canadian Victorian architecture situated on Embassy Row in Sandy Hill, Ottawa near Strathcona Park. It was described as the "homestead property" of the influential Bate family.

The Embassy of Egypt is Egypt's embassy in Canada. It is located at 454 Laurier Avenue East in Ottawa, Ontario. Ahmed Hafez serves as Ambassador with a staff of diplomats plus locally hired employees. Egypt also operates a significant Consulate-General in Montreal with 14 accredited diplomatic personnel.

The Gabonese High Commissioner in Ottawa is the official representative of the Government in Libreville to the Government of Canada.

Sandy Hill (French: Côte-de-Sable) is a neighbourhood in Ottawa, Ontario, located just east of downtown. The neighbourhood is bordered on the west by the Rideau Canal, and on the east by the Rideau River. To the north it stretches to Rideau Street and the Byward Market area while to the south it is bordered by the Queensway highway and Nicholas Street. The area is named for its hilliness, caused by the river, and its sandy soil, which makes it difficult to erect large buildings. It is home to a number of embassies, residences and parks. Le cordon bleu operates its Canadian school there, at the opposite end of Sandy Hill from the University of Ottawa. According to the 2011 Canadian Census, the population of Sandy Hill was 12,490.
