The Church of the Holy Communion is a historic Episcopal church building on Summit Street in Norwood, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. It was designed by J. Cleaveland Cady in Late Gothic Revival style and Shingle Style and was built in 1886. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Harrington Township was a township that existed in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, from 1775 until 1916. It was named after the Haring family, who were early settlers to the region. The spelling was originally "Harington Township", based on the family name "Haring", but was changed to "Harrington" in the latter part of the 19th century. Harrington Township was formed by Royal Charter on June 22, 1775, and was created from the northern portions of both New Barbadoes Township and Hackensack Township. The new township stretched from the Hudson River on the east to the Saddle River in the west, and north to the New York border. On April 13, 1840, the territories west of the Hackensack River were taken from Harrington Township to form Washington Township.The passage of a revised Borough Act resulted in the "Boroughitis"-inspired subdivision of the township into new municipalities: Delford (now Oradell) on March 8, 1894; Eastwood (part, borough lasted until 1896 to become part of Old Tappan) on June 6, 1894; Schraalenburgh (now Dumont) on July 20, 1894; and Old Tappan on October 8, 1894. Portions of Harrington Township were taken on April 8, 1903, to form parts of both Demarest and Alpine. The final wave of departures saw the creation of Closter (January 1, 1904), Haworth (February 24, 1904), Harrington Park (March 29, 1904) and Norwood (March 14, 1905).On March 15, 1916, the remainder of Harrington Township became Northvale. With the creation of Northvale, Harrington Township was dissolved.

The Capt. Thomas Blanch House was a historic house at 130 Tappan Road in Norwood, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The house was built in 1790 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 10, 1983. The house was destroyed by fire on May 26, 1997.

Chodae Community Church, formerly called Cho Dae Presbyterian Church, is a Korean Presbytery Church located in Norwood, New Jersey. The church, founded in 1986, has several different ministries catering to people of different cultures and languages. These include ministries catering to those who speak English, Japanese, and Korean. The church also caters to different generations ranging from toddlers to adults. The church is headed by Reverend Kyusam Han. The church engages in missionary work to countries across the globe. The church also invests locally through the Norwood community. The church owns its own building and include two sanctuaries, classrooms, a gymnasium, and a kitchen. By 2000, the congregation had grown to 700 members and the church sought approval from the borough for the construction of a $5 million, 47,000-square-foot (4,400 m2) facility on a 7-acre (2.8 ha) site that would include a sanctuary large enough to accommodate 720 worshipers. A local citizens group, the Norwood Civic Association was created to oppose church's plans, with more than one-third of all resident families joining the organization, which argued that the size of the proposed church would cause flooding and cause congestion on Sundays, given the proximity between the proposed site and the borough's athletic complex.

The Blauvelt House is located at 54 Tappan Road in the borough of Norwood in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The historic stone house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 10, 1983, for its significance in architecture. It was listed as part of the Early Stone Houses of Bergen County Multiple Property Submission (MPS). Described as a lovely example of early Dutch craftsmanship by the nomination form, the house was likely built by a member of the Blauvelt family before the American Revolutionary War based on architectural evidence. The south side is constructed with bricks. It was owned by William Atwater in 1876. It was restored in 1930 by G. Semendinger.
