The British Muslim Heritage Centre, formerly the GMB National College, College Road, Whalley Range, Manchester, is an early Gothic Revival building. The centre was designated a Grade II* listed building on 3 October 1974.

Hough End tram stop was a proposed tram stop on the phase 3b plans to Manchester Airport. It was originally due to open in 2016 but was dropped from the plans.

St Werburgh's Road is a tram stop on the South Manchester Line (SML) and Airport Line of Greater Manchester's light-rail Metrolink system in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. It was built as part of Phase 3a of the network's expansion and opened on 7 July 2011.Consisting of an island platform to the east of St Werburgh's Road, the stop is built largely on the site of the former Chorlton Junction Signal Box and its surroundings. It serves as an interchange for passengers travelling towards either Manchester Airport or East Didsbury.

Manley Hall was a large house in Whalley Range, Manchester. It was a two-storey Victorian Italianate building with fifty rooms, very grandly furnished and with a fine art collection. It stood in 80 acres (32 ha) of exotic gardens with artificial lakes and many greenhouses in which orchids were grown. The house was built for the wealthy businessman Samuel Mendel and was completed in 1857. Mendel occupied the house from 1858. Born in Liverpool of Jewish origin he was the so-called "Merchant Prince" of Manchester's textile industry, who made a fortune by providing the fastest export routes round the Cape of Good Hope to India and Australia. At the height of his commercial success he converted from Judaism to High Church Anglicanism, and became a significant local figure as trustee of St Clement's Church, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, despite Manley Hall being outside the Parish boundary. When the Suez Canal opened in 1869 he lost his commercial advantage and in 1875 was forced to sell Manley Hall and its contents. The contents of the house were sold in an auction that lasted five days. A second sale was held on 9 July 1879 by order of the Court of Chancery for the County Palatine and was bought by Mendell for £85,000. In 1879 a company formed to buy the estate and turn the gardens into a public pleasure park which failed after two years. Its most famous visitor was "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show". The grounds were then progressively sold for housing and the hall itself finally demolished in 1905. Manley Park playing fields is the only part of the original grounds which has not been built over.

Chorlton High School is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, England. It has around 1500 pupils and 300 in each year.

Hough End Hall is a historic house now in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, (originally in Withington), Manchester, North West England. It was built in 1596 during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I by Sir Nicholas Mosley (ca. 1527–1612), when he became Lord of the Manor of Manchester and of the dependent Manor of Withington (Chorlton-cum-Hardy was at the time a township within the Manor of Withington). The Mosleys were an influential Mancunian family from the 16th century onwards, and prominent in the affairs of the Manchester district for two and a half centuries.

Whalley Range is an area of Manchester, England, about 2 miles (3.2 km) southwest of the city centre. The population at the 2011 census was 15,430. Historically in Lancashire, it was one of the earliest of the city's suburbs, built by local businessman Samuel Brooks.

Hartley Victoria College was a Methodist theological college in Manchester, England. In 1934, after the union that created the Methodist Church of Great Britain, Victoria Park merged with the nearby Hartley College to create Hartley Victoria College. It closed in 2015.Hartley College was founded for training clergy for the Primitive Methodist ministry in 1881. In 1906 the Manchester theological college for training Primitive Methodist ministers was renamed Hartley College in recognition of the benefactions of Sir William Pickles Hartley of Hartley's jams. The original Hartley College building in Whalley Range was sold to the Northern School of Music, which later sold it to the Kassim Darwish Grammar School for Boys. Victoria Park College opened as the training establishment of the United Methodist Free Church in 1877. After union in 1907 and closure of the Methodist New Connexion Ranmoor College in Sheffield, Victoria Park became the ministerial college of the United Methodist Church. In 1934 after the Methodist Union, Victoria Park and Hartley College merged and the Victoria Park, Manchester site was sold.

Wilbraham Road railway station was in Whalley Range, Manchester, England, on the former Fallowfield Loop line from Manchester Central via Chorlton-cum-Hardy to Fairfield and Guide Bridge. It was opened as Alexandra Park in 1892 by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway.It was near the junction of Alexandra Road South and Mauldeth Road West, near Alexandra Park, and served the expanding residential suburb of Whalley Range. The railway line has since been converted into a cycle track.

Loreto High School is a coeducational Catholic high school in the Manchester suburb of Chorlton-cum-Hardy. It was the first IVBM (Loreto Sisters) school to be coeducational from the very beginning and the first Loreto secondary school in the area since Loreto College was reduced to a sixth form college during the 1970s.

St Bede's College is an independent Roman Catholic co-educational day school for children from 3–18 years on Alexandra Road South in Whalley Range, Manchester, England. It is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference. Mrs Sandra Pike became Headmistress of the College in August 2020. Founded in 1876 by the Bishop of Salford, Herbert Vaughan, the College moved to its present site on Alexandra Park Road a few years later after the acquisition of the former Manchester Aquarium building. Shortly afterwards, work began on the Vaughan Building, the College's Grade One Listed building.
