St. Joseph's Cemetery, Cork, was established for the burials for the poor, by Temperance campaigner Father Mathew in 1830 when he leased land from the Botanical Gardens. It was sometimes called Father Mathew Cemetery. It was extended in 1880, and Fr. Mathew is buried in the cemetery. A large number of victims of the Irish Famine are buried here, many in unmarked graves. There are also 24 burials of those who died from the 1914-1918 war and 4 from the 1949-1945 war here, maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.Cork Corporation took over the cemetery in 1968.The Society of African Missions Church (St. Joseph's) in Wilton, Cork, has a graveyard beside it confusingly also called St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are other Cemeteries in Cork called St. Joseph's, among them St. Joseph's Cemetery Mallow, and St. Joseph's Cemetery Little Island.

The Lough is the name of a suburb of Cork City, the electoral division in which it lies, the body of water that gives the area its name and a Roman Catholic parish of the same name. It lies on the south side of the city. The Lough is part of the Cork South-Central Dáil constituency.

Turners Cross is an all-seater football stadium located in and synonymous with the district of Turners Cross in Cork, Ireland. It is owned by the Munster Football Association (MFA), and is used by the MFA and by League of Ireland side Cork City. It was the first all-seated, all-covered stadium in Ireland following redevelopment in 2009, and it is currently one out of only two, the other being the Aviva Stadium.

Ballyphehane (Irish: Baile Féitheáin) is a suburb in the south of Cork in Ireland. It is one of the oldest suburbs in Cork and was created as part of a post-World War II initiative to create a model community in Cork. Between 1948 and 1993, a total of 11 housing schemes totalling 1,316 dwellings were built by Cork Corporation, now known as Cork City Council. Many of the main roads in Ballyphehane are named after the executed leaders of the 1916 Rising.The electoral divisions of Ballyphehane A and Ballyphehane B have a combined population of over 1400 people.

The Kinsale Road Roundabout (Irish: Timpeall Bóthair Chionn tSáile) is a five-arm signalised roundabout in Cork City, located approximately 3km south of the city centre at the junction of the N40 South Ring Road and the N27 South City Link/Airport Road. The South Ring Road was constructed on a phased basis from the late 1980s, with the Kinsale Road Roundabout opening in 1990. With the completion of the downstream crossing of the River Lee, the Jack Lynch Tunnel, there was a marked increase in traffic using the N40, which in turn led to increased delays at the Kinsale Road Roundabout. A flyover (overpass) was therefore built over the roundabout in 2006.

Turners Cross (Irish: Crois an Tornóra) is a ward on the south side of Cork City, and home to the Roman Catholic parish of the same name. Largely residential, one of the key features of the area is the iconic church created by architect Barry Byrne and sculptor John Storrs, the Church of Christ The King. It was commissioned in 1927 by Rev Daniel Cohalan D.D., Bishop of Cork. The church was the first Irish church to be built from concrete instead of brick, and is one of the largest suspended-ceiling churches in Europe. Opened in 1931, the church is based on the principles of Art Deco which makes strong use of symmetric and geometric forms. Turners Cross is part of the Cork South-Central Dáil constituency.

Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa is an educational institution in Cork city in Ireland. Like other further education colleges in Ireland, the college offers further education courses, including Post Leaving Certificate courses.Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa has been involved in adult education and further education since 1986. Courses offered include radio broadcasting, art, furniture design, construction technologies, humanities, business, information technology, performing arts, and music.Between 2011 and 2019, the college was subject to separate investigations for "breaches of procurement rules", facilities concerns, and funding "irregularities".

Coláiste Chríost Rí (English: Christ the King College) is a Trusteeship Board Catholic secondary school for boys based on Capwell Road in Turners Cross, Cork, Ireland.

St. Finbarr's Hospital (Irish: Ospidéal Naomh Fionnbarra) is a care home for elderly people on the Douglas Road, Cork City, Ireland.

Tramore Valley Park is a park on the southside of Cork in Ireland. With an area of approximately 160 acres (65 ha), the park site is located on a landfill site which closed in 2009. While parts of the park opened in mid-2015 (including for BMX and parkrun events), and had been targeted to open more completely during 2016, as of October 2018 the park had not been opened to the public on a broader scale or to larger events. The park was ultimately opened in May 2019, and is managed by the Glen Resource Centre on behalf of Cork City Council.

South Parish is the name given to both a Roman Catholic parish of Cork City and to the residential area contained in it.

The Red Abbey in Cork, Ireland was a 14th-century Augustinian abbey which took its name from the reddish sandstone used in construction. Today all that remains of the structure is the central bell tower of the abbey church, which is one of the last remaining visible structures dating to the medieval walled town of Cork.
