Walters Bath No. 2 is a historic bath house located in southwest Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a small brick building of 40 by 70.5 feet (12.2 by 21.5 m) laid in Flemish bond with black headers and Maryland limestone trimming. It was constructed in a very simplified form of Renaissance Revival architecture popularized at the turn of the 20th century. The bath house in the 900 block, Washington Boulevard (U.S. Route 1) in the southwest area of Pigtown / Washington Village, was built for the City of Baltimore by Henry Walters (1848–1931), who contributed four bath houses to the city. It was co-designed by architect George Archer (1848-1920), and constructed in 1901. Architect Archer was trained at Princeton University and lived in a landmark townhouse of white marble at the southeast corner of North Charles and West Madison Streets, facing Washington Place and the famous Washington Monument. The public bath system was abolished 60 years later, at the end of 1959 with the general extension of indoor plumbing and public water systems in the city's densely packed row houses residential neighborhoods.Walters Bath No. 2 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Dorguth Memorial United Methodist Church, formerly known as Otterbein Chapel Station, Scott Street United Brethren Church, Dorguth Memorial United Brethren Church, and Dorguth Memorial Evangelical United Brethren Church, is a historic United Methodist church located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It was built in 1857 and is a simple, two-story gable-front brick church of the late Roman Revival style. It features a gabled roof with a pedimented brick cornice. Also on the property is the parish house added in 1868.> The church was named for Mrs. Frederick Dorguth, who in 1936 left money for extensive renovations. Dorguth UMC closed its doors in 2001.Dorguth Memorial United Methodist Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Equitable Gas Works is a historic gas works located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a U-shaped complex occupying an entire city block and consisting of five 1882-1883 Romanesque Revival painted brick buildings ranging from one to two stories in height and one 1947 office building adjacent to CSX tracks in Spring Gardens, an industrial precinct in South Baltimore, Maryland. The rectangular, 19 century buildings are set on semi-coursed stone foundations, and are topped with monitor and gable roofs. The buildings exhibit a recessed wall plane behind paired brick pilasters and corbelled brick cornices and oculus openings set within their gables. The Office is notable for its delicate wood louvered dormer with a sunburst- ornamented tympanum. The exposed structural system remains visible in the industrial buildings; historic finishes also survive in the office building. The architect for the building is not presently known. The period of gas production in the complex extends from 1882 to 1901, when gas-related uses abandoned the site. Despite infill and alterations, Equitable Gas Works complex retains all of its original brick buildings and remains clearly recognizable as a purpose-built, 19 century gas manufactory. Both the form and massing of the buildings and the quality and character of surviving architectural fabric provide important evidence of the stature of the manufactured gas industry in the late 19 century. Equitable Gas Works was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The B&O Railroad Museum is a museum and historic railway station exhibiting historic railroad equipment in Baltimore, Maryland. The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O) company originally opened the museum on July 4, 1953, with the name of the Baltimore & Ohio Transportation Museum. It has been called one of the most significant collections of railroad treasures in the world and has the largest collection of 19th-century locomotives in the U.S. The museum is located in the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's old Mount Clare Station and adjacent roundhouse, and retains 40 acres of the B&O's sprawling Mount Clare Shops site, which is where, in 1829, the B&O began America's first railroad and is the oldest railroad manufacturing complex in the United States.Mount Clare is considered to be a birthplace of American railroading, as the site of the first regular railroad passenger service in the U.S., beginning on May 22, 1830. It was also to this site that the first telegraph message, "What hath God wrought?" was sent on May 24, 1844, from Washington, D.C., using Samuel Morse's electric telegraph.The museum houses collections of 19th- and 20th-century artifacts related to America's railroads. The collection includes 250 pieces of railroad rolling stock, 15,000 artifacts, 5,000 cubic feet (140 m3) of archival material, four significant 19th-century buildings, including the historic roundhouse, and a mile of track, considered the most historic mile of railroad track in the United States. Train rides are offered on the mile of track on Wednesday through Sunday from April through December and on weekends in January. In 2002, the museum had 160,000 visitors annually.The museum also features an outdoor G-scale layout, two indoor HO scale model, and a wooden model train for children to climb on. From Thanksgiving through the New Year, local model railroad groups set up large layouts on the roundhouse floor and in select locations on the grounds of the museum. A museum store offers toys, books, DVDs, and other railroad-related items. The museum and station were designated as a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1961. In 2008, the museum won three awards in Nickelodeon's Parents' Picks Awards in the categories of Best Museum for Little Kids, Best Indoor Playspace for Little Kids, and Best Indoor Playspace for Big Kids. Television and film actor Michael Gross is the museum's "celebrity spokesman".The museum definitively documented 24 Freedom Seekers that used the B&O Railroad on their journeys on the Underground Railroad – 8 of which traveled through the museum's historic site of Mount Clare. In 2021, the museum's Mt Clare Station building was designated as a National Park Service Underground Railroad Network to Freedom site.The museum also hosts an annual Day Out with Thomas event every year, complete with the train's excursion including a non-powered Thomas the Tank Engine replica.

The Mount Clare Shops is the oldest railroad manufacturing complex in the United States, located in Baltimore, Maryland. It was founded by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O) in 1829. Mt. Clare was the site of many inventions and innovations in railroad technology. It is now the site of the B&O Railroad Museum. The museum and Mt. Clare station were designated a National Historic Landmark in 1961.

Barre Circle is a small neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is often considered to be a part of Pigtown. Most of the neighborhood's historic homes range from 1840 to 1890, with many populated by graduate students at the nearby University of Maryland's Baltimore campus. It is walking distance to the Inner Harbor and the MARC Train's Camden Station.According to the LiveBaltimore website, Barre Circle is frequently referred to as "Little Georgetown." It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Paradox was a South Baltimore dance club from 1991 to 2016. It was originally a home to house music, but later on got more of a hip hop feel. The club was founded by Wayne Davis.

The Lithuanian Hall (Lithuanian: Lietuvių Namai), also known as Lith Hall, is the home of the Lithuanian Hall Association. It is a private club located on Hollins Street in the Hollins Market neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland and serves as a recreation center and meeting house for social events, including dance nights, musical events, community suppers and cultural events. The hall was founded to serve the needs of the Lithuanian community in Baltimore, Maryland. The hall is popular with artists and hipsters.

Gandy Belting Company Building is a historic loft building located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a brick masonry bearing-wall structure built in five sections. The sections built in 1888, 1890, and 1908 are four stories in height. The remaining two sections, built in 1908-1911 and 1911 respectively, are five stories in height. The Gandy Belting Company, (1888-1931) manufacturer of machinery belting.Gandy Belting Company Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Lawrence House was an American social settlement in Baltimore, Maryland. Its beginnings were in 1893, when Rev. Dr. Edward A. Lawrence and a friend took up lodging at 214 Parkin Street. Lawrence died suddenly later in 1893, and in his memory, the Lawrence Memorial Association organized in 1894 and purchased a house at 816 West Lombard Street. The settlement incorporated in the Fall of 1900. In 1904, the place was enlarged by the addition of the adjoining house, 814 West Lombard Street.

St. Peter the Apostle Church was a Roman Catholic church located within the Archdiocese of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland. Constructed at the northwest corner of Hollins and South Poppleton Streets (848 Hollins) and (11-13 South Poppleton), it was often referred to as "The Mother Church of West Baltimore."

The Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum is a row house located at 216 Emory Street, in Baltimore, Maryland, where baseball legend Babe Ruth was born. The property was restored and opened to the public in 1974 by the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation, a non-profit organization.The museum houses a collection of artifacts from Ruth's life, including some rare baseball cards and the earliest known signature of Ruth. The original museum underwent renovations to increase space, improve accessibility, and enhance the overall facility in 2015.
