Babylon (village), New York

The Town of Babylon is one of ten towns in Suffolk County, New York, United States. Its population was 218,223 as of the 2020 census. Parts of Jones Beach Island, Captree Island and Fire Island are in the southernmost part of the town. It borders Nassau County to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. At its westernmost point, it is about 20 miles (32 km) from New York City at the Queens border, and about 30 miles (48 km) from Manhattan. The village of Babylon is also within the town.

Babylon Town Hall, also known as Town of Babylon Old Town Hall, is a historic town hall located at Babylon in Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1917 and is a 2+1⁄2-story Classical Revival style building with a low hipped roof. It is rectangular in shape, approximately 58 feet long and 54 feet wide. It features a cupola at the center of the roof and a large 2-story portico with four Doric order columns. It housed town offices until 1958, and housed district courts until 1979, when it was sold. Old Town Hall was purchased back by the town in June 2004 and rededicated on Sunday, October 24, 2004.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. A historical marker was erected by the Town of Babylon in 1986.

The Babylon station is a station on the Long Island Rail Road in the village of Babylon, New York at Railroad Avenue west of Deer Park Avenue (Suffolk CR 34). It is on the Montauk Branch and is the eastern terminus of the Babylon Branch service. To the west is the junction (Belmont Junction) with the Central Branch, which heads northwest to join the Main Line at Bethpage Interlocking southeast of the Bethpage station. Babylon station is elevated with two island platforms and is wheelchair accessible through elevator access. The electrified portion of the Montauk Branch ends east of the station.

West Babylon Senior High School is a high school at 500 Great East Neck Road, West Babylon, New York in Babylon in Suffolk County on Long Island, New York. It is part of the West Babylon Union Free School District. In 2012, it had an enrollment of 1,531. Its school colors are navy blue and gold and the mascot is an Eagle. The town is known for its beautiful environment. The school was built in 1958 and since then, the school has been fully operational for students from grades 9 to 12. There are three floors all with surrounding staircases on each directional end. The school features two cafeterias, two gymnasiums and an auditorium or "PAC" (Performing Arts Center). Behind the school, there is a football field, baseball field and tennis court.

Good Samaritan University Hospital (formerly Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center) is a 537-bed non-profit teaching hospital on Long Island located in West Islip, New York. The hospital contains 100 nursing home beds as well as operates an adult Level I trauma center and a pediatric Level II trauma center. Good Samaritan University Hospital opened in May 1959, and has expanded several times since opening. It has been Magnet-designed for its quality nursing since 2006, and is a member of Catholic Health. The hospital is also a major regional clinical campus for clinical clerkships and postgraduate medical training affiliated with the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of the largest medical schools in the United States.
