The Farm (French: La Ferme) is a historic farmhouse and the official residence of the Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada. It is located in Gatineau Park in the community of Kingsmere, Quebec, Canada; near the country's capital, Ottawa. The Farm has been managed and maintained by the National Capital Commission since 1986. In addition to the Farm, the Speaker of the House of Commons is also provided a two-room apartment in Centre Block on Parliament Hill. The residence and its 1.74 hectares (4.3 acres) of grounds are not open to the public.

CILV-FM (88.5 MHz, Live 88.5) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Ottawa, Ontario. Owned by Stingray Group, it broadcasts an alternative rock format. Its radio studios and offices are on Antares Drive in Nepean. CILV-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 37,000 watts (90,000 watts maximum). While most Ottawa FM stations have their towers in Gatineau Park, CILV-FM's transmitter is off Old Prescott Road near Spring Hill Road in Greely, Ontario.

Camp Fortune is a commercial alpine ski centre located in the municipality of Chelsea in the Gatineau Hills north of Gatineau, Quebec, approximately fifteen minutes from Downtown Ottawa, Ontario. Camp Fortune is composed of three mountainsides, including the Valley, Meech, and Skyline. Pineault, Clifford and Alexander are jointly referred to as The Valley and are considered to host the easier slopes of the ski centre. Meech offers intermediate terrain, and Skyline offers advanced terrain. During the summer, Camp Fortune operates an aerial park with zip lines and offers downhill and cross country mountain biking in addition to a disc golf course. In addition, the ski lodge is available for rent as a banquet venue. Ryan Tower is a 228.9-metre (750 feet) tall guyed mast that was built in the 1960s, and is located at the summit of the Clifford slope. A shorter tower of 38 metres (123.5') dating from 1961 was the original antenna support structure for the radio station CFMO-FM. It was taken down on Sunday, November 4, 2012, and its functions were transferred to a new, nearby replacement tower.Camp Fortune Ski Club operates at the hill, providing competitive and 'house' ski racing programmes for children and young adults aged 5 to 18 based on the Nancy Greene and Snowstars approaches. For the 2021 summer season, Camp Fortune introduced an alpine pipe coaster, accessible from the Valley chairlift that runs from the top of the Clifford slope back to the bottom of the hill. The pipe coaster is approximately 1 kilometer long and riders can reach max speeds of 40 kilometers per hour. In the 2022 summer season, Camp Fortune introduced a peak to peak Zipline experience which features a 3 zipline course that spans 4,478 feet between the Clifford and Axelander slopes and includes an optional 50 foot free fall jump attraction.

Pink Lake is a meromictic lake located in Gatineau Park, Quebec, Canada. The surface of the waters are a deep green during the month of August and September due to the abundance of algae in the water. The lake is in danger of eutrophication due to human activities. Park management forbids swimming in the lake, walking domestic animals near it, straying from the wooden boardwalk for sight-seers, and throwing stones into the lake.

Les Fougères is a farm-to-table Canadian restaurant located in the town of Chelsea, Quebec, part of the of Ottawa-Gatineau metro area.

The Hull–Chelsea–Wakefield Railway was a 33 km (20.5 mi) heritage railway in Quebec, Canada, running tourist trains through the scenic Gatineau Hills and beside the Gatineau River between Hull (part of the city of Gatineau) and the tourist town of Wakefield (part of La Pêche municipality) from May to October, using a 1907 Swedish steam locomotive, E2 class number 909, and 1940s-built Swedish passenger cars. On average, the railway attracted about 50 000 tourists and generated revenues of about $8 million for the region.The line was closed by a 2011 track bed washout and as of 2022 has not re-opened. Cost to repair is estimated above $5 million.

Chelsea is a municipality located immediately north of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, and about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of Ottawa. Chelsea is located within Canada's National Capital Region. It is the seat of Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais Regional County Municipality.Its population was 8000 in the 2021 Canadian Census. The population of Chelsea is almost evenly divided between anglophones and francophones, with both official languages being spoken in roughly 70% of households.The municipality has a reputation for being environmentally responsible, with and was one of the first in Canada to ban the use of pesticides. While 60% of the area consists of Gatineau Park, much of the rest of Chelsea is residential. A sports complex, the Meredith Centre, was developed in 2012 next to Chelsea Elementary School. The complex hosts a hockey rink, community rooms, and soccer fields. The mayor of Chelsea, QC is Pierre Guénard.Part of the film Grey Owl was shot on the Gatineau River. A number of regionally and nationally well-known musicians, filmmakers, and artists live in Chelsea, including Ian Tamblyn.

Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais (French for "The hills of the Outaouais") is a regional county municipality in the Outaouais region of western Quebec, Canada. The region nearly encircles the City of Gatineau, which is to the south. Its administrative seat is in Chelsea, Quebec. It was created in January 1991 when the Communauté régionale de l'Outaouais (Outaouais Regional Community) was split into Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais RCM and the Communauté urbaine de l'Outaouais (Outaouais Urban Community, now City of Gatineau). The region is home to the majority of Gatineau Park. It is bisected by the Gatineau River which flows from north to south. The Ottawa River forms the southwestern boundary.

Meech Lake (French: Lac Meech) is located within Gatineau Park in the Municipality of Chelsea, Quebec, Canada. It is located about 20 km northwest of Gatineau. The lake was named after Reverend Asa Meech, an early settler in the area. Near the lake, on Meech Creek, are the ruins of a fertilizer plant built by Thomas "Carbide" Willson during the 1900s. In 1981, Willson's former summer home (the Willson House) on Meech Lake was converted into a government conference centre. The house is notable for its use, in 1987, as the site of meetings on the Meech Lake Accord (which proposed the overhauling of Canada's constitution) between the provincial premiers and then-Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. The lake is a multi-use area with picnicking, beach goers, boats, paddle boards, and historic cottages dating to before the park was formed. It is a popular lake for people who like to train in open water swimming. It is also the site of the annual Meech Lake Triathlon. In 1988, a study conducted for the NCC confirmed that Meech Lake residents are responsible for most of the human-produced phosphorus flowing into the lake, i.e., 70.2%, whereas visitors only account for 29.8%. Phosphorus, in excessive amounts is responsible for the proliferation of blue-green algae, a problem that has afflicted the lake in recent years.The National Capital Commission (NCC), steward of Gatineau Park, operates beaches on the lake during the summer. Although it is not condoned by the NCC, there is a secluded beach often used by naturists. Lack of clear signage on the lake that fires are prohibited as well as enforcement is one problem of this highly used area. For example, in the summer of 2016 a fire on one island caused by a picnicker resulted in 25% of the island burning.

Hull—Aylmer (formerly known as Hull) is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1917. It was created as "Hull" in 1914 from parts of Labelle and Wright ridings. It was renamed "Hull—Aylmer" in 1984. It encompasses the parts of the sectors of Hull and Aylmer located in the city of Gatineau, Quebec. The neighbouring ridings are Gatineau, Pontiac, Ottawa West—Nepean, Ottawa Centre, and Ottawa—Vanier. With its large percentage of civil servants, the riding was a Liberal stronghold for almost a century, and the safest Liberal riding in the province outside Greater Montreal. Even when the rest of the province was turning its back on the Liberals, they survived in Hull—Aylmer in 1984, 2004 and 2006. In 2008, however, it was the only riding in Canada where four candidates received over 15% of the vote, and was the only riding in Quebec outside the Montreal area the Liberals won. In a major turnaround during the 2011 elections, however, the New Democratic Party won the riding as part of its sweep of the Outaouais. To date, this is the only time the Liberals have lost this riding in an election. The winner of that election, Nycole Turmel, was the interim leader of the NDP from July 28, 2011 until March 24, 2012, following the death of NDP leader Jack Layton. The only other time it was out of Liberal hands was from 1990 to 1993, when Gilles Rocheleau crossed the floor to the Bloc Québécois. Hull—Aylmer lost territory to Pontiac during the 2012 electoral redistribution. It reverted to form at the 2015 election, when Liberal Greg Fergus handily defeated Turmel as part of the Liberals' clean sweep of the Outaouais.

École Secondaire Mont-Bleu is a French-language public secondary school located in Gatineau, Quebec. It is located on Boulevard Cité des Jeunes in the Hull sector just on the eastern flank of the Gatineau Park, one of the National Capital Region's touristic destination. This school is among several other educational institutions located on Cite des Jeunes along with the CEGEP de l'Outaouais, Heritage College and Asticou Centre. Its facilities opened in 1976 and is run by the Commission Scolaire des Portages-de-l'Outaouais (formerly Commission Scolaire Outaouais-Hull) school board. Students are mostly coming from the Hull sector of the city with some coming from Chelsea and the Aylmer sector. There are particular programs called "Voies" in which students can follow a particular formation in preparation for superior courses in college or university. Such programs exist in visual arts, dance, outdoors sports, guitar, computer sciences or scientific (similar to physical sciences or natural sciences) Transportation is mostly provided by the Société de transport de l'Outaouais which has special schools routes that follows most of the track of the regular routes (such as the 31, 33, 37, 39 and 49). On September 21, 2018, the school was damaged by a fire after the passing of an EF-3 tornado. The students were moved to the Asticou centre near the school for a temporary establishment while the school is getting reconstructed.

Western Québec School Board (WQSB, French: Commission scolaire Western Québec) is an English-language school district based in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. It was formerly a Protestant school district. The chairperson is James Shea, and the director general is Mike Dubeau.
