Store Strandstræde

The Waagepetersen House is a listed Neoclassical town mansion located at Store Strandstræde 18 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The house takes its name after royal wine merchant Christian Waagepetersen who owned it from 1811 to 1840. His home was a meetingplace for many of the leading figures of the Danish Golden Age.

Store Strandstræde 19–21 is a listed mixed-use property from 1908 in Store Strandstræde in central Copenhagen, Denmark. The complex contains commercial space in the two lower floors and large, high-end apartments on the three upper floors and also comprises a workshop building in the courtyard. It is designed in a style which combines Romantic Nationalism with influences from Jugendstil. It is located next to the Garrison Church.

It dates back to the 17th century and is one of few buildings along the canal that was not heightened in the 19th century. With roots dating back to the late 17th century, it owes its current appearance to a heightening of the building with two floors in 1842. Notable former residents include the businessman Abraham Marcus Hirschsprung and the painter and educator Wilhelm Kyhn. The building was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1945.

Nyhavn 11 is an 18th-century property overlooking the Nyhavn canal in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Ludvig Ferdinand Rømer established a sugar refinery on the property in 1653 and it was later continued by changing owners until at least the 1860s. A small figure of a sugar-baker holding a sugar cone is still seen above the gate. The building was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1932. Notable former residents include the general trader Jacob Severin and actors Christian Niemann Rosenkilde, Julie Sødring and Poul Reumert. The lamp manufacturer Louis Poulsen was later based in the building from 1908 to 2006.

Lille Strandstræde 13–15 is a property situated at the corner of Lille Strandstræde and the small nameless square that is formed where the street joins Store Strandstræde on the south side of Sankt Annæ Plads in central Copenhagen, Denmark. The corner property was from at least the 1750s to circa 1890 owned by distillers. Their distillery was located on the upper floors of a still existing warehouse in the courtyard. The ground floor of the warehouse was used as cow stable. Part of the building fronting the street (first No. 13 and later No. 15) was also used by the distillery. No. 13 dates from 1852. No. 15 dates from 1758 but was refurbished in 1852. The entire complex was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1950. In front of the building is a small garden complex with a bronze cast of Otto Evens's 1859 statue Neapolitan Fisherman Teaches His Son to Play the Flute.
