The Deerfield Township School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Deerfield Township, in Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 278 students and 29.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.5:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "B", the second-lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Public school students in ninth through twelfth grades attend Cumberland Regional High School, which also serves students from Fairfield Township, Greenwich Township, Hopewell Township, Shiloh Borough, Stow Creek Township and Upper Deerfield Township. As of the 2021–22 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 1,081 students and 80.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.4:1. Seats on the high school district's board of education are allocated to the constituent municipalities based on population, with Deerfield Township assigned one of the nine seats.

Rosenhayn is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Deerfield Township, in Cumberland County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is part of the Vineland-Millville- Bridgeton Primary Metropolitan Statistical Area for statistical purposes. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 1,098.Rosenhayn was founded as a Jewish agricultural colony and the 1898 Rosenhayn synagogue is one of the fewer than 100 surviving nineteenth century synagogue buildings in the United States.

Deerfield Township is a township in Cumberland County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is part of the Vineland--Bridgeton metropolitan statistical area, which encompasses those cities and all of Cumberland County for statistical purposes and which constitutes a part of the Delaware Valley. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 3,136, an increase of 17 (+0.5%) from the 2010 census count of 3,119, which in turn reflected an increase of 192 (+6.6%) from the 2,927 counted in the 2000 census.Deerfield Township was formed as a precinct on January 19, 1748, and was incorporated by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798, as one of New Jersey's initial group of 104 townships. Portions of the township were taken to form Bridgeton Township (March 3, 1845) and Upper Deerfield Township (February 23, 1922). The township was named for Deerfield, Massachusetts.

Southwind Vineyard & Winery is a winery in Deerfield Township (mailing address is Millville) in Cumberland County, New Jersey. A family horse farm since 1978, the vineyard was first planted in 2006, and opened to the public in 2012. Southwind has 4 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 800 cases of wine per year. The winery's name reflects the Southern origin of the farm's original owners, and their desire to provide Southern hospitality.

Parvin State Park is a state park located in the southwestern part of New Jersey. Situated around Parvin Lake on the edge of the Pine Barrens, the park includes pine forests, hardwood forests, and swamps. Temple Beth Hillel Beth Abraham, officially Congregation Temple Beth Hillel – Beth Abraham of Carmel, is a Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 547 Irving Avenue, in Millville, Cumberland County, New Jersey, in the United States. Formed in 2008 through the merger of Temple Beth Hillel in Deerfield Township, and Temple Beth Abraham in Bridgeton Township, the congregation worships in the former Beth Hillel synagogue that was built in 1901 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 7, 1978.

The Alliance Colony was a Jewish agricultural community that was founded on May 10, 1882, in Pittsgrove Township, in Salem County, New Jersey, United States. It was named after the Alliance Israélite Universelle of Paris and was funded by the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society of New York and Philadelphia and The Baron De Hirsch Fund.

Centerton is an unincorporated community located within Pittsgrove Township in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. County Route 540 is a major road that travels through Centerton and passes Centerton Pond. Route 55 provides access to Centerton, via exit 45 (County Route 553 – Clayton, Glassboro). Centerton is approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) west of Vineland in Cumberland County. Centerton is home to the historic Centerton Inn, which was completed around 1706 and is rumored to have had George Washington stay there.

Brotmanville is an unincorporated community located within Pittsgrove Township, in Salem County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The area is accessible via exit 35 on Route 55. The community of Brotmanville was originally a Jewish settlement and is currently a predominantly African-American neighborhood.
