Misery Hill (Irish: Cnoc na hAinnise) is a street in Dublin, Ireland, near Grand Canal Dock.

Sir John Rogerson's Quay is a street and quay in Dublin on the south bank of the River Liffey between City Quay in the west and Britain Quay. Named for politician and property developer Sir John Rogerson (1648–1724), the quay was formerly part of Dublin Port. It has some of the few remaining campshire warehouses in Dublin.

Alto Vetro is a 16-storey residential tower on the west side of Grand Canal Dock, to the south of MacMahon Bridge, in Dublin, Ireland. The structure contains 26 apartments, 24 of them two-bedroom (2 per floor), the top two being three-bedroom triplex penthouses. There is a coffee shop and barbers at ground floor level.It was awarded the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland’s (RIAI) Silver Medal for Housing (2007-2008). It was constructed by Sisk on behalf of developers Treasury Holdings which also developed the headquarters of Google, Montevetro, on Barrow Street across the canal basin from Alto Vetro. That building has since been renamed Google Docks. A third structure in the series, Aqua Vetro, was to be developed at Tara Street railway station, however this building had not started construction at the time the company entered insolvency.In 2014 Alto Vetro was sold by receivers from PwC appointed by NAMA and was acquired by Kennedy Wilson Europe.

Grand Canal Dock (Irish: Duga na Canálach Móire) is a Southside area near the city centre of Dublin, Ireland. It is located on the border of eastern Dublin 2 and the westernmost part of Ringsend in Dublin 4, surrounding the Grand Canal Docks, an enclosed harbour where the Grand Canal comes to the River Liffey. The area has undergone significant redevelopment since 2000, as part of the Dublin Docklands area redevelopment project. The area has been nicknamed "Silicon Docks" by Google and Facebook (a reference to Silicon Valley) as it has become a popular location for multinational technology firms such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Airbnb. The area has been the subject of debate over the balance of development and gentrification as well as the subject of derision over the clichéd nature of its new nickname.

The Royal Hibernian Marine School, also known for a period as Mountjoy & Marine School, was a charity school in Dublin, Ireland established in 1766 to care for and educate the orphaned children of seamen. The school's building on Sir John Rogerson's Quay was in use as a school from 1773 until 1904 and continued to be used as offices and storage until the 1970s before being demolished in 1979.

Samuel Beckett Bridge (Irish: Droichead Samuel Beckett) is a cable-stayed bridge in Dublin, Ireland that joins Sir John Rogerson's Quay on the south side of the River Liffey to Guild Street and North Wall Quay in the Docklands area.

Boland's Mill was located on the Grand Canal Dock in Dublin, Ireland on Ringsend Road between the inner basin of Grand Canal Dock and Barrow Street. As of 2019, it is undergoing a €150 million reconstruction to become Bolands Quay, a development of new residences and commercial, retail, and civic spaces.The mill site includes a number of buildings that were formerly owned by Boland's Bakery. There are two six-storey stone warehouse buildings dating from the 1830s, and others on Barrow Street dating from the 1870s. The majority of the complex consisted of concrete silos built between the 1940s and 1960s. The mill stopped production in 2001 and the site had been derelict since then. Within the complex of buildings, the older 19th century stone block buildings facing onto Ringsend Road and onto Grand Canal Dock together with two terraced houses on Barrow street are listed as protected buildings by Dublin City Council. The taller concrete silos on the site were not protected structures, and were demolished during the construction in 2017-2018. The site is in an area dubbed "Silicon Docks" (a reference to Silicon Valley) as it has become location for high-tech multinationals such as Google and Facebook.

The 77th World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon), also known as Dublin 2019—An Irish Worldcon, was held on 15–19 August 2019 at the Convention Centre, as well as in The Point Square, Dublin, Ireland.The convention chair was James Bacon.

The Convention Centre Dublin (Irish: Ionad Comhdhála, Baile Átha Cliath) is a convention centre in the Dublin Docklands, Ireland. The Convention centre overlooks the River Liffey at Spencer Dock. It was designed by the Irish-born American architect Kevin Roche. Construction started in 1998 and the building opened in 2010. From June 2020 it acted as a temporary location for Dáil Éireann due to the necessity to implement social distancing because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

North Wall was one of Dublin's six original rail termini, the others being Westland Row (now Pearse Station), Amiens Street (now Connolly Station), Kingsbridge (now Heuston Station), Broadstone and Harcourt Street (now a bar and nightclub complex).

The National Performing Arts School (NPAS) is located in Dublin, Ireland. The school is for students aged from 2 to 22 years old. Courses available include drama, singing and dancing. Every two years a show is performed in the Olympia Theatre. The NPAS is run by Jill Doyle and Eamon Farrell (brother of Colin Farrell). They also run various workshops throughout the year.
