The Norfolk County Correctional Center is a house of correction located on the median of Route 128 in Dedham, Massachusetts. The facility has 502 beds and opened in 1992. On average, there are 140 inmates who are serving sentences and 260 inmates waiting for trial. As of May 2019, the superintendent is Michael Harris. Harris replaced James O’Mara, who had served since October 2018.The Correctional Center replaced the Norfolk County Jail.

The MIT Endicott House is a conference center located in Dedham, Massachusetts, about 10 miles (16 km) south-west from downtown Boston. The center consists of the Endicott mansion, a Normandy French-style chateau, along with an art lecture facility known as the Brooks Center, and 25 acres (100,000 m2) of gardens, lawn, woods and ponds. Since 1955, when it was given to Massachusetts Institute of Technology by the Endicott family, it has been owned and operated by MIT. It is one of the oldest such facilities in the United States. Endicott House serves as a meeting facility for many MIT departments and is the primary site of the Senior Executive Program of the MIT Sloan School of Management. The house also hosts conferences and meetings for other educational, medical, governmental, and nonprofit organizations. It is known for its expansive grounds, about which landscape historian Elizabeth Hope Cushing has said "This is the story of a manmade space that has lasted, altered but unbroken, for over one hundred years, entering the twentyfirst century with the potential to be the magical landscape of General Stephen M. Weld’s initial creation."

Saint Sebastian's School is an independent, all-boys Catholic secondary school located in Needham, Massachusetts on 26 acres (110,000 m2). The school instructs boys in grades seven through twelve. Founded in 1941 by William Henry Cardinal O'Connell, Archbishop of Boston, the school is the only Catholic school in the Independent School League. Approximately 350 students are enrolled.

The Noble and Greenough School, commonly known as Nobles, is a coeducational, nonsectarian day and five-day boarding school for students spanning from grades seven through twelve. The campus is near Boston on a 187-acre (0.76 km2) campus that borders the Charles River in Dedham, Massachusetts. The current enrollment of 614 students includes a balance of boys and girls.

The Joshua Lewis House is a historic house in Needham, Massachusetts. Built in 1776, it has a well-preserved example of late Georgian architecture, which has been home to a number of individuals of local and national importance, including artist N.C. Wyeth. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery is a pet cemetery located in Dedham, Massachusetts. Opened in 1907 and operated by the Animal Rescue League of Boston, it is full with nearly 17,000 animals, including dogs, cats, horses, birds, lizards, and rabbits buried there.It is the oldest pet cemetery run by an animal welfare organization in the United States. It holds the remains of a number of notable animals, as well as the pets of a number of notable people.Stone walls covered in vines mark the oldest part of the cemetery, which includes a gazebo.

St. Susanna Church is a Roman Catholic parish of the Archdiocese of Boston located in Dedham, Massachusetts. The pastor is Father Stephen S. Josoma, and Laurence J. Bloom is the deacon. It is known as "one of the most liberal parishes in the Archdiocese of Boston."The parish was founded in 1960 due to overcrowding at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Dedham. By the 1930s St. Mary's was one of the biggest parishes in the Archdiocese with over 6,000 parishioners and 1,300 students in Sunday School. During the middle of that decade there were four priests and six nuns ministering to the congregation.In the 1950s it became clear that a second parish was needed in Dedham, and so St. Susanna's was established in February 1960 to serve the needs of the Riverdale neighborhood. When St. Susanna's opened it had 300 families, while 2,500 stayed at St. Mary's.During construction, masses were held at Moseley's on the Charles. The first pastor of St. Susana's, Father Michael Durant, lived at St. Mary's while his church was being constructed. The first mass was said in the new church on February 11, 1962. The church was named by Cardinal Richard Cushing after his titular church, Santa Susanna, in Rome.In 2000, average attendance at Sunday mass was 1,671, making it the 63rd most active parish out of the 357 parishes then in the archdiocese. It performed the 314th most sacraments in 2001–2002.The parish garnered the attention of national media during Advent 2018 when the Nativity scene outside of the church showed the Baby Jesus in a cage and the three wise men separated from the others by a fence labeled "deportation." The scene was a statement on the Trump administration family separation policy and on the condition of refugees more generally.

Ursuline Academy is an independent college preparatory school for young women in grades 7–12. Located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, United States, it is owned and operated by the Ursuline Sisters, a worldwide teaching order. The academy is a private Catholic school located on a 28-acre campus in Dedham, Massachusetts. It provides education in all areas and offers over 20 clubs and 15 varsity sports. The Boston Globe has praised Ursuline’s athletes, the Bears, as winning the Singelais Award for maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher and excelling in their chosen activity.

Hersey station is an MBTA Commuter Rail station in Needham, Massachusetts. Located in the Bird's Hill neighborhood, it serves the Needham Line. The station serves as a park-and-ride, with easy access from Route 128. Hersey station has been open since 1917, except for an 8-year closure during Southwest Corridor construction. It is fully accessible.

The Dedham Village Historic District is a historic district encompassing the historic center of Dedham, Massachusetts. Its principal focus is a stretch of High Street between Bridge and Ames Streets; it extends south along Bridge Street to Haven Street, as well as along Ames and Court Streets, and small streets adjacent. The area has been associated with the growth and development of Dedham since the community was established in 1636. Its most notable structure is the Norfolk County Courthouse, a National Historic Landmark. It also includes the Old Village Cemetery. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. It is roughly bounded by Village Avenue and High, Court, Washington, School, and Chestnut Streets.

The Norfolk County Jail was a jail located on Village Avenue in Dedham, Massachusetts. It replaced the first Norfolk County Jail on nearby Highland Street.

The Samuel Dexter House is a historic house at 699 High Street, Dedham, Massachusetts. It was built, beginning in July 1761, by Samuel Dexter, a member of the Massachusetts Provincial Congress.Dexter purchased the property on which the house stands on March 18, 1761. The house was next door to the parsonage of the First Church and Parish in Dedham, where he grew up. The house was the childhood home of the Secretary of the Treasury Samuel Dexter. Dexter hosted Governor Thomas Hutchinson at the house in 1771.The building was remodeled in 1901 following the design of J. Harleston Parker, using Colonial revival elements. The Samuel Dexter House is a contributing property to the Dedham Village Historic District, added to the National Register of Historic Places in September 2006.
