East Massapequa (formerly known as West Amityville) is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 19,069 at the 2010 census.

Sunrise Mall is a shopping mall located in East Massapequa, New York. The mall opened on August 30, 1973 as the first 2-level shopping mall on Long Island.

Alfred G. Berner Middle School is a middle school that serves Massapequa, New York, since 1987 after the conversion from Berner High School. The school was named after Alfred G. Berner, who served on the Board of Education from 1945 to 1954. The campus currently serves students in grades 6-8 that matriculate to Massapequa High School.

Massapequa Park is an incorporated village located within the southern portion of the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York. The population was 17,008 at the 2010 census. The areas south and east of the village borders are considered the hamlet of Massapequa because they are under the jurisdiction of the Town of Oyster Bay rather than the village. The hamlet shares the same zip code, fire department and school district as the village.

The Massapequa Park station is a station on the Babylon Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is officially located on New York State Route 27 and Park Boulevard in Massapequa Park, New York, although there are parking lots along Front Street and north of the station. All parking lots require Village of Massapequa Park residential permits.

Massapequa High School is a public high school located in Massapequa, New York, United States, for students in grades 10 through 12. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,496 students and 150.7 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.9:1. There were 98 students (6.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 20 (1.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Amityville is the westernmost station on the Babylon Branch of the Long Island Rail Road in Suffolk County. It is located on John Street in Amityville, New York, but the official description of its location is not as precise. The MTA describes the station as being located on John Street between Sunrise Highway (NY 27) and NY 27A west of NY 110. John Street is located between Sterling Place and West Oak Street (Old Sunrise Highway, NY 900D).

Brunswick Hospital Center or Brunswick Hall Psychiatric Hospital was a psychiatric hospital in Amityville, New York. The American Hospital Directory reported that there were 146 staffed beds in the hospital in 2021.

The Grace Church Complex, saw its 175th anniversary in 2019, is a historic Episcopal church complex in Massapequa, Nassau County, New York. The complex consists of the church, surrounding parish cemetery, the Floyd-Jones family cemetery, and the DeLancey Floyd-Jones Free Library. The small church was built in 1844 by Elbert Floyd-Jones and remodeled in 1905. It is a frame structure on a brick foundation and consists of a vestibule, nave, and chancel. It is in the Gothic Revival style and features a square bell tower with modest spire. The church also has Tiffany glass windows added during the remodeling. Sometime after 1983, the old Grace Church was given to the Historical Society of the Massapequas. The DeLancey Floyd-Jones Free Library was built in 1896 and is a two-by-two-bay one-room structure that served as the only public library in Massapequa for 60 years. The library was founded and built by DeLancey Floyd-Jones (1826–1902). Initially, the library, which Col. Floyd-Jones gave to Massapequa along with an endowment, was open three days a week and had enough space on its shelves to accommodate up to 2,500 books.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It also includes two structures that are Oyster Bay municipal landmarks.

Amityville () is a village in the Town of Babylon in Suffolk County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 9,523 at the 2010 census.

Amityville Memorial High School is a public high school located in Amityville, New York, United States, on the south shore of Long Island. It is part of the Amityville Union Free School District, which includes the village of Amityville and portions of North Amityville and East Massapequa. The school follows the New York State Regents guideline and offers Advanced Placement (AP) and Syracuse University credited courses. The members of hip-hop group De La Soul were students of Amityville High School, and released their debut LP 3 Feet High and Rising soon after (1989). Eddie Reyes, founder of Taking Back Sunday, also hails from Amityville.

Farmingdale High School is a public high school located in Farmingdale, Nassau County, New York, and is the only high school operated by the Farmingdale Union Free School District. The building opened in 1962. The school also serves East Farmingdale and a portion of North Amityville , Massapequa Park, and North Massapequa. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,878 students and 142.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.2:1. There were 339 students (18.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 42 (2.2% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
