John and Harriet McKenzie House

Nathan and Clarissa Green House is a historic home located at Oswego in Oswego County, New York. It is a two-story wood-frame residence with a gabled, three-bay facade and side entrance, built about 1849 with Greek Revival details. It was built by Nathan Green, an African American and fugitive slave, who purchased the lot from Gerrit Smith. It is located next to the John and Harriet McKenzie House.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

It was built in 1927, and it is one of the few surviving steam-powered floating derricks to have worked on the New York State Barge Canal. It has a 75 foot by 28 foot hull composed of both riveted and welded heavy steel plate. The site of the vessel's caretaker is the H. Lee White Marine Museum.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Kingsford House is a historic home located at Oswego in Oswego County, New York. It is a large 2+1⁄2-story brick residence. Built about 1870 in the Italianate style, it was extensively reconfigured and enlarged in 1912–1913 in the Tudor Revival style. Along the north and east edge of the property is a terrace wall built of cut limestone blocks and topped by a cast and wrought iron fence.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Oswego Theater, now known as Oswego 7 Cinemas, is a historic movie theater located at Oswego in Oswego County, New York. It was designed in 1940 in the Art Deco style and opened in 1941. The front features bands of yellow, red, and dark red brick that create broad horizontal and perpendicular belts. A pair of cast stone, accordion pleated vertical stripes are included on the facade. It was designed by architect John Eberson (1875–1964).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

It developed between about 1830 and 1910, and includes notable examples of Italianate, Romanesque Revival, Colonial Revival, and Tudor Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed Kingsford House. Other notable buildings include the former St. Matthew's Lutheran Church (1888), 40 West Oneida Street (1898) designed by Claude Fayette Bragdon, the former Public School #3 (1860s), and West Baptist Church (1867) designed by Andrew Jackson Warner.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Woodruff Block is a historic commercial building located at Oswego in Oswego County, New York. It is a four-story masonry structure built about 1840 and modified between 1900 and 1930. It features rectangular cut stone columns with Doric capitals in the Greek Revival style. When built it was located strategically at the terminus of the 1828 Oswego Canal.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Fort Oswego was an 18th-century trading post in the Great Lakes region in North America, which became the site of a battle between French and British forces in 1756 during the French and Indian War. The fort was established in 1727, on the orders of New York governor William Burnet, adjacent to a 1722 blockhouse that had originally been a way station for French traders. The log palisade fort established a British presence on the Great Lakes. In 1756, the fort's garrison of British soldiers from the 50th and 51st regiments were easily defeated by a combined French and Native American force. More than one hundred British soldiers were killed, many of them after the fort had been formally surrendered. The French took a further 1,500 British prisoners, and destroyed the fort itself. The site is now included in the city of Oswego, New York.
