CHYM's studios are at The Boardwalk, while its transmitter is on Baden Hill also known as the Baden Tower, just west of the Kitchener city limits.

The station airs a country format branded as Country 106.7 and is owned by Rogers Sports & Media, which also owns sister stations CHYM-FM and CKGL. CIKZ's studios are at The Boardwalk in Kitchener. CIKZ has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 1,700 watts (5,000 watts maximum). The transmitter is on Wilby Road near Wilmot Line in Wilmot.

The Baden Hills are four glacier-made kames near the community of Baden in the Township of Wilmot, Ontario, Canada. Because of their elevation, up to 434 metres (1,424 ft), they have been used for radio and TV transmission towers, most notably Baden Tower on the highest and eastmost hill that hosts the antennas for Kitchener's CKCO-DT. They can be seen from practically anywhere in Wilmot Township.

Sunfish Lake is a small, 25 hectare meromictic lake located north-west of Waterloo, Ontario, in the village of St. Agatha in northern Wilmot Township, and is the source of Laurel Creek. It is one of a few meromictic lakes in Ontario, that is, its deep bottom waters (21 metres or 70 feet) are totally devoid of oxygen. The surface and bottom layers do not mix, and the lake is vulnerable to environmental damage.Restrictions on lake use include no motorized boats, no fertilizer or pesticide use, and regular septic tank inspections. Sunfish Lake is often compared to Paradise Lake which is about 3 km to the north-west, in Wellesley Township. Paradise Lake is a much larger lake and accommodates many more properties with the ability to live year-round. There are about 20 cottages and homes on the lake, of which only a small handful are zoned for year-round residence, the rest are zoned recreational and are not used nor lanes cleared during the winter.

Baden ( BAY-den) is a suburban community and unincorporated place in Township of Wilmot, Regional Municipality of Waterloo in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. It was named after Baden-Baden, Germany; the approximate population as of 2015, as per township statistics, is 4,940.The area is the site of the Baden Tower, a huge television, radio, and communications tower located on top of one of the Baden Hills, which is the transmitter for CKCO-DT, the CTV affiliate for Kitchener, as well as CFCA-FM and CHYM-FM, which have studios in Kitchener. Much of the area consists of farmlands and pine forests are in the area. The local high school, Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School, is located just outside the town and the statue park Prime Ministers Path is located on the grounds adjacent to Castle Kilbride.

Laurel Heights Secondary School (formerly Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School) is a high school in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, operated by the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB). It opened in September 2004 and provides both academic and vocational programs. The school had 1,500 students as of the 2020–21 school year. Each year, around 450 new grade 9 students are enrolled from the following elementary schools: Centennial Public School, Edna Staebler Public School, Laurelwood Public School, and Vista Hills Public School The school is located on 650 Laurelwood Drive in northwest Waterloo. It was originally named after Sir John A. Macdonald, the first prime minister of Canada; in 2022, it was renamed to Laurel Heights Secondary School (LHSS).

Castle Kilbride is the former residence of James Livingston, a Canadian member of parliament, and owner of flax and linseed oil mills. It was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in March 1994.It was built in Baden, Ontario in 1877 and named after Livingston's birthplace in Scotland. The major feature of Castle Kilbride is the interior decorative murals in the style of the Italian Renaissance. The trompe-l'œil technique used in the murals gives the illusion of three dimensions. The building is also an outstanding example of an Italianate villa of its place and time, and at the time of its building was a tribute to the reputation of its owner as the so-called 'Flax and Oil King of Canada'.
