Malmö West Station (Swedish: Malmö Västra) was a railway station in Malmö, Sweden. It was established in 1874 with the creation of the Ystad Line, from 1886 was also operated by the Continental Line. A new and larger station building was built and its use as a station ended in 1955. The station building was later used as offices for the City Tunnel project.

Malmö Live is an event centre in Malmö, Sweden. It opened in August 2015, containing a concert hall, conference facilities, a hotel, offices, and housing. Malmö Live Concert Hall is the home of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and can fit up to 1,600 people. The hotel and conference center Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmö Live has 25 floors with a height of 85 meters which makes it the tallest building of Malmö Live, 24 conference rooms, a congress hall for up to 1,500 participants and a skybar. There are several other buildings around the area, holding offices and housings. Due to the appearance of several tall buildings, the area is sometimes also known as "Malmhattan". The current director of Malmö Live is Maria Frej since February 2020. Malmö Live is hosting: symphony orchestras, commercial, cultural and political events as well as meetings.

The Malmö Symphony Orchestra (Swedish: Malmö Symfoniorkester) is a Swedish orchestra, based in Malmö. Since 2015, it has been resident at the Malmö Live Concert Hall. The orchestra has a complement of 94 musicians.

Founded in 1841 (1841), the Malmö Art Museum is one of the leading art museums in Scandinavia. The museum building, built in 1937 (1937), is located in the Malmö Castle complex in Malmö, Scania, in southern Sweden. The museum is governed by the City of Malmö.

Malmö University (Swedish: Malmö universitet) is a public university located in Malmö, Sweden. With more than 24,000 students and about 1,600 employees (academic and administrative), Malmö University is the ninth largest institute of learning in Sweden. It has exchange agreements with more than 240 partner universities around the world and roughly a third of the students have an international background. Education at Malmö University focuses on, among other things, migration, international relations, political science, sustainability, urban studies, and new media and technology. It often includes elements of internship and project work in close cooperation with external partners. Located at Universitetsholmen in the centre of the city, the university has played an important role in the transformation of Malmö from an industrial town to a centre of learning. A large part of the campus was constructed on grounds which, up to the mid-1980s, belonged to the Kockums shipyard, which had been a key element of naval-industrial Malmö. While this institution was founded as a university college ("högskola") in 1998, the Swedish minister for higher education and research conferred full university status on January 1, 2018.

The World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmö, Sweden, is a postgraduate maritime university founded within the framework of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialized agency of the United Nations. Established by an IMO Assembly Resolution in 1983, the aim of WMU is to further enhance the objectives and goals of IMO and IMO member States around the world through education, research, and capacity building.

Fisktorget or Fisktorg (English: Fish market) is a former public square in Malmö, Sweden. The square was built in 1894 at Bastion Älvsborg immediately west of Hjälmarbron. Fish was sold and transported by railway. In 1969, the square was removed and the name expired, but the statue "Fiskegumma" ("Fish granny") from 1949 by the sculptor Clarence Blum is reminiscent of the fishing trading spot.

The Scania and Blekinge Court of Appeal (Swedish: Hovrätten över Skåne och Blekinge) is one of the six appellate courts in the Swedish legal system.

The Central Post Office Building, Malmö, Sweden, designed by Ferdinand Boberg and built between 1904 and 1906. It is a building in the style of Romantic nationalism, popular in the years around 1900. Inspired by the Brick Gothic from the middle ages, common especially in the cities around the Baltic Sea. The unusually large cupolas of the two towers is a detail that caused some debate at the time. Boberg was pleased with how this building turned out and commented in a letter from 1907 that it was perhaps his best work. The top floor was given an added row of windows in 1944 designed by Erik Lallerstedt. It became a listed building in 1935and was restored and modernized between 2006 and 2020.

Inre hamnen is a neighbourhood of Malmö, situated in the Borough of Centrum, Malmö Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden.

Hotel Savoy is a historic hotel in Malmö, Sweden, now owned by Elite Hotels. The hotel is located opposite to Malmö Central Station.

Adelgatan was, together with Östergatan and Västergatan, Malmö's main street from the Middle Ages. During the Middle Ages there were two Adelgatan's. The elder ran from west to east direction parallel to the beach only a stone's throw from it. It was called in 1392 in Latin "Communis magna platea". It was the city's oldest street, which probably existed as a narrow road even before the city's emergence in 1250s. Today this route is in the Malmöhus Castle area leading up to Drottningtorget. The second Adelgatan was the main street in the early 14th century which ran perpendicular to the former further south. This was called "Sönnergaatan" in 1462 and "Then syndre Adelgade" in 1522. " They formed grand squares and had boundary markers consisting of standing stones. Such a stone was the "Tunneln", one at the current Caroli Church and the last at the junction of Skomakaregatan and Södergatan. Trade with the peasants during the Middle Ages were only allowed inside the marked square areas.
