The 76th Street station was a local station on the demolished IRT Third Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It was originally built on December 9, 1878. The outer tracks served local trains and it had two side platforms. The center track was built as part of the Dual Contracts and was served by express trains. This station closed on May 12, 1955, with the ending of all service on the Third Avenue El south of 149th Street.

The houses at 157–165 East 78th Street are a row of five attached brick houses on that street in Manhattan, New York, United States. They are the remainder of an original group of 11 built in 1861, when the area was originally being developed due to the extension of rail transit into it. As a result, they are among the oldest townhouses on the Upper East Side. Some of them have been added onto, and the two easternmost were combined into a single unit. They retain enough historical integrity that they were designated a New York City Landmark in 1968, and were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as the East 78th Street Houses.

Temple Shaaray Tefila (Hebrew: שערי תפילה – Gates of Prayer) is a traditionally oriented Reform synagogue located at 250 East 79th Street (at the corner of 2nd Avenue) on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City.The synagogue was founded in 1845, and was officially chartered in 1848. It moved to its current location in 1959. It has over 1,200 family member units, and over 800 students combined in its religious school and early childhood programs.

Orwasher's Bakery is a famous breadmaking business in New York City that has been listed among the top ten bakeries in America. Also known as A. Orwasher Handmade Bread Inc. it was established in 1916 on 78th Street in the Yorkville area of the New York City borough of Manhattan and it is now one of the last vestiges of the thriving immigrant population that lived in that area around the start of the 20th century.

Casa 74, also known as 255 East 74th Street, is a 30-story, 87-apartment condominium building. It is situated at the corner of Second Avenue and East 74th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City.The building was developed by World-Wide Holdings Corporation. It was designed by Hugh Hardy's H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture together with SLCE Architects, and built in 2008.The building contains primarily three-to-five bedroom apartments, duplexes, and penthouses, with 10-foot (3.0 m) ceilings. The largest apartments are 3,500-square-foot (330 m2).The lower floors of the building house a 42,000-square-foot (3,900 m2) Equinox gym. The building includes a 2,400-square-foot (220 m2) children’s pavilion, and a private 1,500-square-foot (140 m2) garden.In 2008, apartments in the building sold for prices ranging up to $4,000-per-square-foot. In 2009, a penthouse was purchased for $12.98 million. Also in 2009, the developer rented out five of the building's apartments, at $13,000-per-month for three-bedroom apartments, and $18,000-per-month for a four-bedroom apartment.Poet John Giorno lived at the address, when a small carriage house was located on the property, before the current building was built.

The 77th Street station (also known as 77th Street–Lenox Hill Hospital) is a local station on the IRT Lexington Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and 77th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It is served by the 6 train at all times, the <6> train during weekdays in the peak direction, and the 4 train during late nights. This station was constructed as part of the Dual Contracts by the Interborough Rapid Transit Company and opened in 1918. The station was renovated in the 1950s, and from 2002 to 2004.

The Unitarian Church of All Souls at 1157 Lexington Avenue at East 80th Street in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City was built in 1932 and was designed by Hobart Upjohn – Richard Upjohn's grandson – in the Neo-colonial style with a Regency-influenced brick base. It is the congregation's fourth sanctuary. The congregation, dating back to 1819, was the first Unitarian Universalist congregation in the city. It has provided a pulpit for some of the movement's leading theologians and has also recorded many eminent persons in its membership.
