Cullen Performance Hall is a concert hall located on the campus of the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. The hall, comprising the eastern half of the E. Cullen Building, was named in honor of Ezekiel W. Cullen, a former congressman for the Republic of Texas. The facility seats 1,544, and hosts music, opera, dance, theatrical events, and public lectures. Opening in 1950, the facility was designed by Alfred C. Finn.

The Ezekiel W. Cullen Building, usually shortened in pronunciation as the E. Cullen Building, is a building that serves as the administrative headquarters of the University of Houston and the University of Houston System. It is named in honor of Ezekiel Wimberly Cullen, a former congressman of the Republic of Texas, and grandfather of building financier Hugh Roy Cullen. The building was designed by Texas architect Alfred C. Finn in the Art Deco style, and opened in 1950. It is located in the Cullen Family Plaza of the University of Houston campus in Houston, and is iconic to the image of the university. The east portion of the E. Cullen Building constitutes the Cullen Performance Hall, while the west portion houses the office of the President of the University of Houston as well as other administrative offices.

The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) is one of 14 academic colleges at the University of Houston. With nearly 10,000 students, CLASS is the largest college of the university, and was established in 2000 after the College of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Communication and the College of Social Sciences merged.

The Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership (Hilton College) is a college at the University of Houston, a public research university in Houston, Texas, focused on hospitality. It is one of 13 academic colleges at the university that offers business degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The University of Houston College of Technology is the second largest among 13 schools and colleges at the University of Houston. It offers 11 undergraduate degrees and 12 graduate degrees throughout four different departments. In Fall of 2017, there were 6,520 students enrolled in the college. The University of Houston has a new building in Sugar Land, Texas, for the College of Technology; programs are being moved there and a couple of programs will solely be offered at that campus.

The Cullen College of Engineering, one of twelve academic colleges at the University of Houston, was established in 1941 and is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. More than 5,000 students are enrolled in engineering courses—3,759 undergraduates, 1,312 master's and doctoral students. The Cullen College offers degree programs in biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, industrial, mechanical, subsea and petroleum engineering, with specialty programs in materials, and computer and systems engineering. The college's master's program in subsea engineering is the first of its kind in the United States. Its chemical and mechanical engineering programs have ranked among the top programs nationally. Fourteen faculty members belong to the National Academy of Engineering.

The Department of Physics at the University of Houston is a department of the University of Houston College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics performing research traditional fields such as High Energy Physics and Condensed Matter Physics, Material Science, and Biological Physics, but also topics like Seismic and Medical Imaging. With its physics program, the University of Houston physics department placed 60 (out of 160) in the 2010 United States National Research Council rankings. The Department works together closely with the Texas Center for Superconductivity.

The Center for Advanced Materials, formerly the Space Vacuum Epitaxy Center, is a laboratory established in 1986 at the University of Houston for researching the science and application of advanced materials. It is hosted in 8,000 square feet (740 m2) of space in three buildings on the Houston campus. Its facilities contain equipment dedicated to thin-film deposition, processing and characterization of III-V compound semiconductors, high-temperature superconductivity, and ferroelectric oxide material systems. The Wake Shield Facility was developed at this center.

The C.T. Bauer College of Business, is the business school of the University of Houston, and it is fully accredited by the AACSB International. It offers BBA, MBA, MS Accountancy, MS Finance and the Houston metropolitan area's only Ph.D. program in business administration.

The Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts (KGMCA) is one of thirteen academic colleges at the University of Houston. Established in 2016, the College of the Arts has approximately 1,500 students.

Moody Towers are twin 18-story high-rise residence halls located in the Wheeler District on the campus of the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, United States. It was named for William Lewis Moody, Jr. and his wife Libbie Shearn Moody of Galveston, Texas, and houses 1,100 students. The towers also house the largest dining hall on the campus.A mass shooting from atop Moody Towers was prevented when police arrested Albert J. Russell, Jr. in 1972. Russell, who was not a student, was trespassing on university property around the sixth anniversary of the mass shootings at the University of Texas at Austin, and attempted to go atop one of the towers with a loaded M14 rifle and a loaded .22 Long Rifle. Upon arrest, he told police he would've shot people had he been allowed on the rooftop.
