Alcantarilha e Pêra is a civil parish in the municipality of Silves, Portugal. It was formed in 2013 by the merger of the former parishes Alcantarilha and Pêra. The population in 2011 was 4,972, in an area of 46.26 km².

Pêra (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈpeɾɐ]) is a former civil parish in the municipality of Silves, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Alcantarilha e Pêra. The village is 12.5 kilometres (7.8 mi) south east of Silves and is 261 kilometres (162 mi) south south east of Lisbon. The village used to be called Pêra de Cima or Upper Pêra to distinguish it from the present Armação de Pêra, which was then named Pêra de Baixo (Lower Pêra).

Described as the largest sand sculpture event in the world, the International Sand Sculpture Festival or Festival Internacional de Escultura em Areia (FIESA) has been held in Pêra, Algarve, Portugal annually since 2003. The site at 37.1289°N 8.3310°W / 37.1289; -8.3310 occupies 15,000 square metres (3.7 acres). Each year about 60 artists use 35000 tons of sand to create 50 works of art. The exhibition is also open in the evenings with atmospheric lighting.

The Alcantarilha River (Portuguese pronunciation: [alˌkɐ̃tɐˈɾiʎɐ]) is a small river in the south central region of the Algarve, Portugal. The river begins at the conflux of three tributary streams a little south of the village of Miões in the municipality of Silves. Downstream the river also has several further tributaries including the Algoz River (Ribeiro de Algoz). The river runs for a length of 12.2 miles (19.6 km) from its conflux to the mouth at the Atlantic ocean in south central Algarve.

The village used to be called Pêra de Baixo or Lower Pêra to distinguish it from the present Pêra, which was then named Pêra de Cima or Upper Pêra.The town (vila in Portuguese) of Armação de Pêra is a popular tourist center with fine beaches, hotels, cafés and restaurants. It is on a broad bay that stretches from Pont da Galé to Senhora da Rocha. Its beaches extend from Praia dos Pescadores or the Fishermen's Beach, to Salomão beach, including those of Maré Grande and Beijinhos.The town is one of the last places in the region where fishing boats are launched from and recovered to the actual beach. There is no harbour.
