Waringsford is a small village in County Down, Northern Ireland, 6 km south east of Dromore. It is situated within Banbridge District. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 129 people. The village, despite the lack of services, has seen substantial property development in the last five years, helped by its rural setting, relative tranquility and close proximity to the A1. The village lies within the townland of Tullinisky, in the civil parish of Garvaghy, within the barony of Iveagh Lower, Lower Half. It also lies in Banbridge District.

West Down was a constituency of the Parliament of Northern Ireland.

Dromara (from Irish: Droim mBearach, meaning 'ridge of heifers') is a village, townland (of 242 acres) and civil parish in County Down, Northern Ireland. It lies 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the southwest of Ballynahinch on the northern slopes of Slieve Croob, with the River Lagan flowing through it. It is situated in Dromara (civil parish) and the historic barony of Iveagh Lower, Lower Half. In the 2011 Census it had a population of 1,006 people.

Drumlough (Irish: Druim Loch) is a village and townland in County Down, Northern Ireland, south of Hillsborough and east of Dromore. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 96 people. It is situated in the Lisburn City Council area. Locally significant buildings include Drumlough Presbyterian Church and manse, Rose Cottage (pre 1830), and an Orange Hall built in 1907.Drumlough Pipe Band was formed in 1950 and competes in competitions organised by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.

Aghandunvarran (from Irish Achadh Dúin Bhearáin 'the field of Bearán’s fort') is a rural townland in County Down, Northern Ireland. It has an area of 514.76 acres (2.08 km2). It is situated in the civil parish of Royal Hillsborough and the historic barony of Iveagh Lower, Lower Half, located 2.6 miles north-east of Dromore. It lies within the Lisburn City and Castlereagh District Council.

Hillsborough Forest is a mixed broadleaf and coniferous forest located near the village of Hillsborough in County Down, Northern Ireland. It was once part of the Hillsborough Castle demesne. The lake located in the forest park contains brown trout and rainbow trout.The forest contains the remains of the Fox Fort rath.

Legananny (believed to be from Irish Liagán Áine 'Áine's standing stone') is a townland 5.6 km (3.5 mi) north of Leitrim, Northern Ireland. It contains the ancient Legannany Dolmen which has stood for between 4000 and 4500 years. It is made up of three large stones standing upright with a very large stone sitting on top of them. It has been linked with the Irish goddess Áine. The townland borders four other townlands, these are: Benraw, Leitrim, Slievenaboley and Clanvaraghan. Legananny has a population of around 100 people, most of these being farmers and their families. Slieve Garran is the biggest hill in Legananny.

Legananny Dolmen is a megalithic dolmen or cromlech nine miles southeast of Banbridge and three miles north of Castlewellan, both in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is on the slopes of Slieve Croob near the village of Leitrim, in Drumgooland parish, nestled between the farmer's stone wall and a back road. It is a State Care Historic Monument sited in the townland of Legananny, in Banbridge District, at grid ref: J2887 4339.This tripod dolmen has a capstone over 3m long and 1.8m from the ground. It dates to the Neolithic period, making the monument approximately 5,000 years old. Such portal tombs were funerary sites for the disposal of the dead in Neolithic society. The heavy stones would have been dragged some distance before being set in place. The three supporting stones are unusually long and there are slight traces of a cairn which must have been far more extensive. Some urns were found underneath.The name Legananny is derived from Irish Liagán Áine 'Áine's standing stone'

Dechomet or Deehommed (from Irish Deachoimheád, meaning 'Good view ') (formerly Lowtown) is a small settlement in Drumgooland, County Down, Northern Ireland. Dechomet is approximately 3 miles from Leitrim and approximately 6 miles from Castlewellan. In the 2001 census, Dechomet, Ballyward and Finnis had a combined population of 121.Dechomet contains a primary school, a hardware store, a bar and a Catholic church within the village center.

Magheraconluce (historically Magheraclonelish - from Irish: Machaire Cluana Lios, meaning 'plain of the meadow of the ringfort') is a small village and townland near Annahilt in County Down, Northern Ireland. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 282 people. It is within the Lisburn City Council area.

Finnis souterrain, also known locally as Binder's Cove, is an excavated drystone souterrain in Finnis (Irish: Fionnais), south of Dromara, County Down, Northern Ireland. The site is a scheduled monument and is one of only a few souterrains open to the public.

Hillsborough Castle is an official government residence in Northern Ireland. It is the official residence of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, and the official residence in Northern Ireland of the British monarch and other members of the British royal family when they visit the region, as well as a guest house for prominent international visitors. From 1924 until the post's abolition in 1973, it was the official residence of the governor of Northern Ireland. Since April 2014, it has been managed by Historic Royal Palaces, and is open to the paying members of the public.
